Great food and service. Nice, light Asian food. Lovely atmosphere. Our server was attentive and friendly.

I have dined at this location many times for their delicious gluten free options. However, the service speed unpredictable and my last 2 visits (within the past month) have been SO SLOW! Both visits were for lunch and the restaurant was not anywhere near full. Today, someone's dog on the patio vomited right in front of us; we were sitting inside but there was only a glass wall between us and the dog. It was disgusting! Staff noticed and just threw a napkin over it and came back to mop it up half an hour later. No pets should be allowed at a restaurant, even if it's on the patio. We complained to staff and nothing was done. read more

Went to dinner with two girlfriends for my birthday and what a fabulous time we had. It was cooler tonight so we sat on the patio, which was fine except for occasional street noise. We ordered 3 drinks: Long Island iced tea, an Asian pear mojito, and a sangria. Iced tea was excellent. The mojito was the BEST I've ever had. Sangria was just okay. We kind of did an Asian tapas thing, where we just ordered plates and shared. 1st plate: veggie lettuce wraps - superb. 2nd plate: Asian chicken tacos - superb. 3rd plate: Eggplant with sweet chili sauce- superb. 4th plate: Veggie Fried Rice - very good. 5th plate: Spinach with garlic - good. Just ordered 60 dollars worth of take out at 6:12pm and they said the order will be ready for pick up at approximately 6:40 so we arrived at 6:40 and paid for order at the bar. 30mins later the order was ready. This is a beautiful restaurant, but don't let the looks fool you. I got takeout from there yesterday. It was expensive, but I didn't mind because I thought it would be great. We had Mongolian beef and it was so dried out it tasted like jerky. The braised short ribs were so spicy and had a lot of rice and no ribs. The fried rice was so horrible, very dry no taste. 08/28/20: I just spoke with Dalen (apologies if I spelled that incorrectly), the Operating Partner of this location, who reached out immediately upon the corporate office sharing my feedback (per their request to my original review). He was incredibly apologetic and grateful for my comments. He demonstrated that he truly is concerned about his guests and their enjoyment of the P.F. Chang's experience, across the board. While the ordering and pickup process was easy, the food in my "dinner for 2" lacked a great deal. The lettuce wraps were fine and what I expected. The mongolian beef was flavorful, but very tough. The fried rice was a joke. There was one little piece of egg, and one vegetable in it. At least 1/3 of the rice was still white and hadn't even touched the wok. It was bland and very dry. The wontons in the wonton soup were mushy and doughy, as though they hadn't been fully cooked prior to being added to the soup. The noodles in the vegetable lo mein were the same - mushy and doughy, as though they hadn't been fully cooked. I don't know if this location is understaffed or has new cooks or what, but it definitely was a major disappointment. 4 for the food; 3 for service. We had made a reservation 3 days in advance and indicated it was a special occasion. Upon arrival the hostess tried to seat us in a partial booth shared with another table (2 tables for 1 bench). Unfortunately the shared table had 2 high chairs blocking our access to the bench. There were 2 additional children in booster seats (4 kids total). We asked if we could have the empty table one booth over (with no high chairs) and she looked extremely pissed off. Firstly, no one ever has requested to sit with screaming children who aren't their own. When the restaurant isn't full and an advance reservation has been made, some more care and thoughtfulness would be appreciated. Rant over. The restaurant is huge and gorgeous with low lighting, high ceilings, dark leathers and woods. Paintings of Mandarin warriors that adorn the chain restaurant are present here. I'm always impressed with the look of P.F. Chang's...far classier than most chains. Drinks were quenching. I had a (non-alcoholic) coconut cooler and also their organic green tea. The tea was so comforting on a cool Florida evening. Our waiter was attentive in refilling it. Apps might be my favourite thing here. We tried the pan-fried gyoza (6). Nice crunch on the outside, but not tooth cracking like the fried version can be. Egg rolls (4) were crunchy with an amazing mustard-y spice to the pork filling. Plum sauce added to the sweet and sour experience. Some of the best egg rolls I've had. Hot and Sour soup was tasty though a little heavy on the soy compared to others I've had. I also missed the addition of scallions as a garnish. The wonton soup was also good. For our mains we tried the Beef and Broccoli, the Crispy Honey Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai. We liked the crispy chicken the best. Nice batter and accompanied by little crispy rice noodles (?). It was lovely. Both the Pad Thai and Beef and Broccoli were good, but nothing extraordinary. We shared our entrees family style and the restaurant was accommodating. 3 entrees were more than enough to fill us up and doggie-bag up a lunch for the next day. Walked into an absolutely empty restaurant, and had the hostess walk away and make us wait to be seated. When we were seated we were told to scan a QR code to see a menu on our phones. ?????? While waiting to have a server come to our table we had time to notice the place was less than clean. After waiting more than 5 minutes while various employees ignored us we stood up to leave. Suddenly a server rushed over to address us. We took a look at how dirty his clothes were and the tray he was carrying was filthy we knew it was prudent to cut our losses and leave. The manager tried to stop us first offering a free drink and then a discount if we would stay. We said we were leaving and she offered our meals would be free. We made the right decision and left. Stopped in to grab a bite and some drinks ith couple of friends and The renovations amplified my experience with an upscale ambiance that features new music, lighting, décor, uniforms, and menu presentation. The menu had a few new items that were delicious and flavorful. We got together after cruising in our jdm rides,and left feeling like we had a mini vacation. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food, the dry rub ribs were so tender and the lettuce wraps are a must try! And they have a nice selection of gluten free items on the menu which was great as one of my friends is gluten intolerant. We looking forward to returning again soon . read more

We live coming here. The food is good & the service has always been great. I've been coming here since they first opened and I've never been disappointed! This particular visit John was out waiter and he was very attentive, fast and accommodating. They ran out of the beer my husband likes, the manager, Danny Lee, heard about it and brought over a beer he thought my husband would like. I've eaten at PF Chang's all over the country and have never had a bad experience with the food and for the most part the service. The PF Chang's in Downtown Sarasota is the absolute exception. We entered the restaurant and waited 10 minutes for someone to seat us, and the several people around us were already complaining about various problems from so many items they were out of, to long wait times, to incorrect orders and plain bad food! We experienced all of these over the next hour or so we were in the place. Our waiter took our order after quite a wait, and we ordered chicken lettuce wraps with two orders of Chang's spicy chicken (CSC). He asked if we would like to have the lettuce wraps come out first before the main course. WE said absolutely, and waited a long time watching everyone get upset about their own problems and then eventually he brought the main course of the Chang's spicy chicken, before the lettuce wraps. I asked about the wraps and he said, "Yes, they are right back there I promise". Why did they not come out first, and when they got there the lettuce pieces were a big hunk of lettuce, not sheets you could put ingredients into, but that was only the beginning. The ingredients were with our the sprouts usually accompanying the chicken mix and were a greasy mess almost inedible. Then I looked at my Chang's spicy chicken and immediately realized it was not correct and was simply some chicken stacked up on brown rice (I did order brown rice). My wife ordered the same thing over white rice and here chicken was plain and blah as well. I tole him this is not CSC and he said, "Well, that's our regular chicken", as if it was correct. I said that I have ordered CSC 50 times or more and this chicken was not what we ordered. He took it back and sent out the manager who asked what was wrong. I told her and she said, "So it's just not spicy"? I said it's not CSC. She came back about 10 minutes later and it looked different but still not CSC. She also said I had fried rice and I said, "I ordered brown rice", which doesn't have carrots, sprouts and various other fried rice ingredients. She said,"Oh well", and shoved it my way. We started eating this version and quickly realized that no-one knew how to make CSC in the kitchen. After trying to eat this, whatever it is, our waiter came by and asked how it was. I told him we have yet to get what we ordered and we were leaving. He said he would get the manager and came back in a few minutes to tell us the food was free and there would be no charge. REALLY!! I told him that is not the point and we weren't there for a free meal but that we never got our meal so why should we pay for it? CSC, find out how to make it! BAD service, horrible food, and 35 minutes from our home. Had to find something to eat when we got home. Last chance Chang's! Can anyplace be that bad? This was!! Last time we are ever eating here. They never get our order correct, horrible customer service, and the staff is rude. While waiting for my to go order, I had to listen to the bartender complain about her coworker, very awkward and unprofessional. When I originally asked for extra sauce on the side (when I placed my order) they didn't give me any. When I asked for extra sauce again they were smug about it saying "oh well it's going be awhile bc they have to heat it up". After waiting for 5 minute they gave me 1 oz side for an entire meal and it was cold. My tofu was not even cut l, they served it in 4 big blocks...worst tofu ever! read more

Enough food for 2 or 3, but tasted exactly the same as at any other restaurant just higher priced due to overhead costs. The chicken lettuce wraps that I was told I had to order because they are so good....well a 1/4 head of iceberg lettuce on a plate was extremely unappetizing especially since it was soaking wet! Would have preferred bib or butter lettuce. Sushi--shrimp tempura was very good & would order again. Enjoyed the sauces that accompanied it. Egg Drop Soup--fantastic presentation when ordered for a group. The server even topped off the to go container for us. There are some new things on the menu, my husband had one: the Wok-Fired filetmignon. It was amazing. For appetizer we had the lobster roll. It was so good we ordered a second!!! I've been to numerous P.F. Chang's locations from Miami to New Jersey and I have to say that the Sarasota location was the worst. On my visit, a party of 4 people, we had to wait to be seated. I couldn't understand why since the restaurant was pretty empty. Once we were seated, we were placed at a table with the A/C blowing right on us. We asked to be moved to another table and that seemed to be a problem for them. Once we were moved, it took forever for a waiter to come over to our table and greet us. The music was playing so loud that you couldn't even have a conversation. We asked if they could turn the music down and we were told they had no control of the volume because it was controlled by corporate. I spoke to the manager who took offense to us complaining about the loud music. It took forever to get our food and when we finally did, our food was awful. The wonton soup tasted like dish water. The fried rice was under cooked. The entrees were greasy and the portions were very small. P.F. Chang's was always my go to for Chinese food but I have to say I don't think I will ever go back to this location. read more

My previous review of this establishment mentioned the lack of consistency for a chain restaurant and once again PF Chang's did not disappoint (I guess in that respect they are consistent). Best local menu! We always order double pan fried noodles when we go here and they are the most amazing noodles ever! It is not on their regular menu, you have to ask for it. They may be a little on the pricey end but boy are they good. We really enjoy their lettuce wraps. They have vegan and vegetarian dishes here if that is your thing. We have taken my son here a few times but it's really not a place kids seem too welcome. It has a very upscale vibe. The desserts can be very large by the way. The great wall of chocolate is enormous. The servers are really nice and polite. The food is good. I really don't know what more you could ask for read more

Make new mistake I love P.F. Chang's. But my experience at this particular restaurant was pretty pathetic. The waiter was extremely odd and the service was terrible. It took nearly 20 minutes just to get water to the table and 20 minutes to pay the bill at the end. I had to ask multiple times for things and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. The food was pretty mediocre and the portion sizes were entirely too small for this franchise. We walked away frustrated and hungry. read more

Made a reservation for 4pm on Sat 12/14/19. Arrived at 3:55pm only a few people seated rest of the restaurant empty. Young hostess says it will be 10-15 minutes. Why I ask she replies waiting for servers. Same thing happened last time. We have theater ticket for a 6pm show. Finally get seated and my phone beeps and the message basically says it's not nice to make a reservation and not show up. I reply I'm here and finally seated. This place has decent food and the server we had was good but the management is terrible. I don't know what is happening with all the "chain" restaurants, but the quality of food is at an all time low. The saying "you get what you pay for", isn't acceptable when you pay $18 for a meal that tastes like crap. I ordered one of their new menu items the Hokkein Street Noodles and had to send it back. I am NOT usually a person that sends food back unless it's steak and it's rare. The Hokkein Street noodles was suppose to be with light sauce, the waiter stated it appeared as if someone put a whole jar of cream on it. Ok no biggie I'll just order something to replace it and take it home. I did NOT have any meal comped, specifically stated that I was not wanting anything for free! So you would think that the 2nd entree order was correct??? No, I did not look at the entree until we arrived home. I ordered sesame chicken, when you see my pictures it's obviously NOT sesame chicken! Mushrooms are not in sesame chicken, sadly neither should overcooked tough chicken pieces either. We use to love P.F. Chang's, it was the place we went for our 1st date 11 years ago. Won't go back. This decision isn't being made off of this 1 visit, but it's compiled with the past 3. Last night the entrees, appetizer, and drinks were bad. Our tab was $97 including a nice tip for the waiter... Oh I realized that I should say one thing that is a MAJOR positive!! Took a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated... and it was by a server who wouldn't even be ours. Tony got out our drinks and took an appetizer order he said he would pass along to our server. Another 20 minutes and we watched a table who was seated about 10-15 minutes after us get their app (same one we ordered). Tony checked in to get us refills and we mentioned we still hadn't gotten our apps. He goes to check on it. Our actual server comes over and tries to blame the delay on a large party and I point out the other table got theirs before us. She says the manager put a rush on it. Entrees took forever too. Watched three managers walking around, not checking in on tables, even ones like ours where an issue was noted. No apology for the poor flow.
