If you order online and get shipments from UPS, FedEx or DHL but don't want to have stuff stolen, register here. They will receive your package, call you when it's in and then you can pick it up. Cost is only $3 per package, per day. Better than having anything stolen. Plus the staff is super friendly. I'd give it 5 stars if they allowed you 24 hours for pick up instead of just the end of the day. Been using them for a couple years and worth it. read more

Excellent service! We have a notary service in Noe Valley (Pack & Ship), but the manager is remarkably unhelpful. I read the great reviews for PO Plus and decided to try my luck in a different neighborhood. Jason guided me through the process of notarization for several tricky documents and was warm, cheerful, and efficient. They screwed up my passport photos, which were sent back to me and passport was not processed. I will now need to cancel an international trip. They would not even pay for shipping the photos back, even though they acknowledged it was their fault. read more

They're super nice and generally have great customer service, but today they totally ripped me off by telling me that they would save me money by putting my item in a smaller box. I guess I was dumb enough to fall for it, but there's no way shipping would have gone up by the $8 they charged me for a friggin' box. Sad. Fraudulent. Won't return. read more

These guys are the best! As with most services, I usually turn to Yelp to find the best people to help, and these five star reviews are all spot on! I had to ship a large personal item to England, and I was dreading the headache of packaging and researching pricing. But when I found PO Plus, they were super helpful at providing quotes from different shipping companies and dispensing advice over the phone. By the time I went to the store, everything was handled in a matter of minutes! I usually spend 10x the amount of time just standing in line at the post office. When the package got to the UK, PO Plus helped work with FedEx International to make sure they had all the paperwork to get through customs. I will not return to PO Plus in order to use its notary service. Today, I took a document in order to have my signature notarized. The document was prepared by my California licensed attorney. The notary refused to notarized it because the document was missing pages from the living trust. She explained that her job is to determine my competency, the completeness of the document, and whether I was signing the document under duress. I countered that her job is not to determine my competency (the only legal entity which has the authority for doing so is the Superior Court) and that her job is not to determine whether a document is complete. The only person that can determine the completeness of a legal document is the attorney who prepared it. I emphasized to her is that her sole role is to certified that I provided sufficient identification for her to verify that it was actually me signing the document. She responded that it is her job to determine the completeness of the document (she is wrong!) The bottom line is that the notary believes that her scope of authority is much broader than what the law dictates regarding the practice of a notary (the requirements for passing a notary exam are very low!). Do not waste your time in arguing with this person who appears to be practicing law without a license! read more

Very happy with these guys. They were available on the weekend for notary services, gave me helpful information when I called up about times and which services I could get. The person we worked with for mylar notary work was incredibly cheerful, explained a number of problems a previous notary had created and gave us a smile bear sticker in lieu of the notary stamp which you are not supposed to put on the mylar. They know their stuff and it was a pleasure working with them. read more

If I could give 6 stars, I would! I needed to ship my wedding gown to my parents' house, as we are having our ceremony near where I grew up and we decided it would be easier if we didn't schlep it on the plane. Needless to say, my gown was a precious item to me, and after months of work by the seamstress, it was an irreplaceable item. We were also worried that, due to some heavy rain storms on the east coast, that the box might get wet. Paul was absolutely phenomenal. These guys are the best! They have helped me out on so many occasions, beginning with my initial relocation to San Francisco in 2001. My partner and I moved away from SF for a short while but in preparing for our return I set up a mailbox through PO Plus. I can't think of doing it any other way. These guys make our lives so much better. And I never miss a package now that I have them to sign for it. Granted, you do have to swing by to pick up your mail and packages, but we're in the area so frequently it doesn't even matter. They also have a little bit of everything, from packing supplies, to stamps, to special cards....you name it, they have it. Adam and Jason are just the biggest sweethearts! The entire staff is always so welcoming, like you're an old friend of the family. If after hours or on a Sunday, you can still obtain your mail with a secret door code. Absolutely top-notch service. I had to ship something over the weekend for a Monday delivery and I had blundered badly with the FedEx online shipping tools. Finally in exasperation I just took everything to P O Plus and said "Help!" and they cheerfully got everything squared away in time for the FedEx pickup that afternoon. While I was there I saw they made rubber stamps so I decided to get one and figured they would send it out and it would take 4 weeks, so you can imagine my shock when they told me they'd make the stamp right there while I waited (and it works great). Their efficiency, attention to detail, lateral thinking when faced by a problem, and genial friendly manner made my counter experience an excellent one. As a visitor to the USA they patiently guided me through the various options for my boxes and when one of them was damaged in transit to the UK they took the lead in securing me an insurance pay-out and repayment of the shipping cost from the shipper. Well, I've been going into P.O. Plus as the main "mail getter" for the Sisters for about 14 months now. Every time I go in the staff is just super. About a month ago, I went in on a Sunday to get the mail. It was a busy day full of errands, I also stopped at Cliff's and got a set of keys made and then to the Eagle for a beer bust. Well, during this long and busy day I somehow lost a huge set of keys, my house keys, my mailbox key at home AND the P.O. Plus box...I called them the next day to see if I'd left them, they did not have. I called all my other stops...no luck. I was sad and dismayed. Well, I went in to get the mail on Friday, and I asked the very sweet man at the counter (Gene) if I may please have the mail in our box, I explained that I'd lost my keys and how did I get a new mailbox key made, feeling very foolish. Well, he reached into our box and pulls out the mail and then reaches in deeper and pulls out ... voila my giant set of keys! Someone found them and they'd put them into the nighttime mail box - so they were safe for me! I was so happy I got teary! Very very pleased with P.O. Plus. Many blessings.
