I purchased 4 paintings (1 very large, and 3 small) and had NO idea how I was going to get them back to Los Angeles. I received a recommendation from a friend to go to PO Plus and sure enough my friend was right. I was in a huge rush to make my flight back, so within an hour they had everything packed up and ready to go. Just to make sure, I called Southwest to make sure I could check the box in, and their maximum is 80" so I didn't know what to do! The box was also too large to be shipped with UPS. The staff at PO Plus helped me after hours to find a solution. They repackaged my paintings and shipped them off to LA for me. I will recommend them over ANY other pack and ship stores. read more

We have been with P.O.Plus for 15 years. We travel a lot and their mail forwarding is great and has allowed us such freedom. A new procedure that I love...they email a Package Shipment Notification with the cost and bar code allowing us to know when the mail will arrive. The staff is helpful and friendly. This was an incredibly disappointing experience for me. I had a framed item that needed shipping and packing. The glass needed extra care. I appreciate that. I was charged $50 in service and packing (on top of the shipping). No one told me in advance what the estimate would be. That was more than the cost of the frame and photograph. The staff was unapologetic. The item was wrapped well, but a business must warn a customer when a service is going to be this high. I would have packaged it myself and taken the risk of breaking. After leaving my house with an affidavit I needed notarized and having no luck at three separate businesses between my house and 18th St (either they didn't offer notary services, or their notary doesn't have Saturday hours), I popped into PO Plus. I needed the affidavit notarized ASAP and this was absolutely the last stop I could make before I had to go to work. Turns out, not only did PO Plus have a notary working on Saturday, but they actually had TWO notaries! The staff was obviously aware of the importance of customer service--everyone in uniform was working at something postally-related and was all sorts of friendly. After being charged $,45 for a pre stamped return envelope a the US Post Office on Evans Street, as the postal clerk and the post office mgr. told me the stamp was out of date as it was 10 days old??? After paying for the 2nd postage I asked for the envelope to mail, the mgr. started to remove the stamp saying if I take the envelope to put in the drop box I could not have the stamp. I told her I think they would put it in the trash and she told me they were not like me.... Now I will have all business postal boxes at PO Plus to avoid any further hassels at Evans St. postal facility. And PO Plus does all the services my small business requires and everybody is soooo nice to me. Hate to write a bad review for this places since I've been coming here for about 10 years. Came in last Friday to get a note notarized. Waited for about 10 minutes while the guy helped another woman. Which is fine I had to leave because I was on my lunch break. Came back Monday morning. And was told they don't have a notary. then when I question the guy letting him know that I've used a notary here before he came back with they've never had one on staff. So what you just straight up lie to your customers? Instead of simply saying we're super busy right now could you come back later to have it notarized? Even though the guy I saw notarize the woman's paperwork on Friday was standing behind the counter. The same guy who notarized my marriage certificate stuff two years ago. They told me they were not notarizing anymore because they're too busy. I'm sorry is somebody else's business more important than mine? You either provide the service or you don't. I waited my turn in line just like everybody else there. Why is their task cherry picked over mine? Wasted 20 minutes on Friday. And wasted another 10 minutes on Monday. Unfortunately I'll have to start going back to the UPS on market Street one block away. Service is not as good at UPS. But at least I know they're not going to cherry pick what they do and don't want to do. Sorry you guys lost a customer for life. PS. And look at the very first thing listed on their yelp page as a service. It's notaries can you believe it? I came into this place on Monday dreading the time it would take for me to process some paperwork including sending some documents to Washington DC which needed to arrive by Friday. Andy went out of his way to help answer some question and process my paperwork. It all took no more than 10 minutes. There was no line, no attitude and all workers seemed very friendly. Andy specially was very helpful, informative and efficient. Even it I paid $3. more than a regular post office for my needs, it was all worth it.
