First he worked on the action, and the only word that comes to mind is it plays like silk, super easy and consistent. As far as buzzes, he did innovative work, creating what guitar players would call a zero fret to raise the strings so they don't buzz and have a consistent termination. A nightmare turned into a dream with the extraordinary professionalism and astounding speed and intensity of the workers who came to move us!! You would think movers are movers, hold your breath, cringe as bumps and scrapes inevitably happen, slow downs with major packing challenges...well none of the above even happened once in a two day crazy pack and box to move us after 23 years in the house. Though 2 decades of being socked in, closets, storage cabinets and endless drawers, a huge attic, major yard ful of potted plants and metal installations, scores of art works on the walls, fine crafts - Buck, Jack, Billy and Philip (the owners son) flowed through the enormous work without a second wasted in 100 degree weather. Throughout, both in packing the house up and in moving and depositing the loads, the men were instantaneously responsive and working with us to address every small and large direction and concern. Our sense of security and being in totally competent hands grew and grew as the move progressed. We have never had such a perfect experience! Not a single thing missed, not a single thing damaged, not a moment of delay or uncertainty from the first moment till we examined the moving van for completion to sign off occurred at the end. This is the company!!!! This is the most excellent movers ever and, the good news is, that it is a family business without corporate bureaucratic obstructions and impersonality. When you move with this business the money is in Sacramento and the price was utterly reasonable beyond our expectations. Moving can be an unanticipated dream. This company saved my move! I found them one hour after another moving company (that shall remain nameless) tried to rip me off and charge me more money while my stuff was - LITERALLY - already on their truck! I got a hold of Lou (the owner of Pac 'N' Box) within seconds of cancelling the other movers and he came over one hour later to inspect my stuff and give me a quote. He quoted me a flat rate and was there the NEXT day on time with two very helpful movers. He personally moved me in his truck from Sacramento all the way to Los Angeles, less than 24 hours after I contacted him. I would have been screwed without this company. The quote he gave me was the EXACT amount I paid (very unusual in this industry where a lot of people rip you off) and he didn't ask for payment until my stuff was off the truck in Los Angeles. Nothing was damaged and the guys who worked with him - Ron and Eric - were fun and EXTREMELY careful. I'm writing this review as I'm still surrounded by boxes because it's so important for my fellow Sacramentans to know how great this company is. read more

We just moved into a new home and we usually move ourselves. This time we decided to use a mover. Lou, the owner, came out and gave an estimate, looked at everything and gave us some helpful hints. The day of the move, the three men that came to move us couldn't have been nicer or more professional. It was absolutely amazing. They never even touched a wall and were very careful with all of our valuable mirrors, paintings, heavy furniture, etc. It was raining all day and they worked very hard to make sure everything stayed dry and they shrink wrapped everything to protect it. It took over nine hours to move our home and we couldn't be more happy with how everything went. We would HIGHLY recommend this mover to anyone. We moved from Fremont to Roseville in Aug and our Realtor found these guys to unpack 2 PODs we had delivered to our house. Mark and Bob were awesome! They got 2 PODS packed full all unpacked and moved into the house in 2 hours in over 100 degree temp. We were so impressed with them we hired them again to get the rest of our stuff which was in 2 storages in Fremont, a 10 x 20 and a 10 x 30. They worked from early morning until after dark, driving down to Fremont, packing all the stuff into a truck, and back up to Roseville, unpacking it all, once again in hot temps. We had tons of stuff, including more than normal amouts books and heavy items, most of which went up stairs. If we ever move again we would hire them for sure!! read more

I just used this moving company last Sunday. Buck and Scott are so darling. They were professional but very caring for your belongings. They were patient with me and wouldn't go beyond the agreed hours' pay even when they spent more time than agreed. They cleaned spots on the wall when my couch scratched the wall by mistake, they would crack jokes and just carry on conversation like you were family. I haven't stopped talking about them to my friends, I even recommended them to my Realtor. The best part was that they were timely and fast. Highly recommend people! A+++++!!!!! This is a great moving company. The owner is very nice, and the two movers He sent (Billy and Ron) were wonderful! We had a gigantic entertainment center that is over 8 feet tall and weighs a ton, The movers were able to get it down my stairs and into the new house without a scratch! Everything was moved gently and quick. They didn't waste any time at all and accomplished everything we needed done in the 3 hour window. We had a great experience with this company and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for movers. They are friendly and very reasonably priced when you compare to other moving companies. These guys helped me last minute as I had scheduled with the horrible company Starving Students. SS left me stranded and I frantically called local moving companies at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The next morning at 8am the movers were prompt and ready to move my stuff! Unfortunately I was stuck one more night in my apartment, but it was worth it to feel secure that these movers would be on time and not charge me any hidden fees...AND move my things in a sufficient amount of time within the three hours. We just had a great moving experience with this company. Company owner Lou Fernandez was very responsive and on top of things. Was willing to change our move date when we changed our minds. Confirmed everything by phone several times beforehand. And best of all, the movers he sent us (Ron and Billy) were awesome! Nice, polite, quiet, and very careful and methodical. Both of us have had bad experiences with movers in the past 10 years so we were prepared for the worst. However, these guys really were a pleasant surprise. We used Pac N Box for a recent Sacramento to Elk Grove move. They were extremely easy to work with and accommodated our schedule with ease. Patrick and Erick arrived on schedule and performed the job not only in a professional manor, but took the extra time to make sure they fulfilled our every need. I did NOT hire PAc and Box but his movers came to my house with another man operating as Street Riderz moving company. These two guys assisted the owner of street riderz in stealing many thousands of dollars worth of stuff from me and broke many thousands of dollars worth of items. This was not an easy move for my disabled sister. But the movers, Jack and Eric were very respectful & took great care moving her to a senior apartment. They arrived on time and were careful not to scratch the furniture as they moved through doors and up the stairs to her new place. I had these guys give me an estimate. Thhey seemed pretty trainable on the move day. I had lots of paintings and breakableitems that the movers had to mover around a few times. His father Lou and his mother Liz are the business owners so nothing will be done about this. Every piece of furniture was meticulously wrapped and protected, and they treated both our old and new home with respect. They were friendly, personable, and worked efficiently all day. We had just installed brand new carpet in our new home, so we mentioned that to the head mover before they arrived. We weren't sure how shoe covers would work since the crew would constantly be going back and forth between the truck and the house. He reassured us that he would figure something out once they got there. When they arrived, he came up with a great solution: two movers stayed outside unloading from the truck while two movers remained inside the house receiving and placing everything. The two movers inside even asked if we preferred they wear shoe covers or simply remove their shoes and work in their socks. We told them socks were perfectly fine. I really appreciated that they asked instead of assuming, and I thought the coordination between the crew was genuinely impressive. It showed they were willing to adapt and find a solution that protected our new floors. What also stood out to me were the little things they didn't have to do. At one point, they saw me struggling to open our wardrobe boxes after they had been unloaded. Without me even asking, they came over, cut them open, and helped open them for me. It may seem like a small gesture, but it showed they genuinely cared about making the move easier for us. Those kinds of thoughtful acts don't go unnoticed. The only reason I'm mentioning the following is because I think it's constructive feedback. At the end of the move, the head mover (who seemed to be the supervisor) asked how I wanted to pay the tip--cash, Zelle, or another method. I was a little confused because earlier in the day we had already given the crew $200 and told them to use it for lunch. When I mentioned that, he explained that the $200 was for lunch, then showed me examples of what other customers had tipped. He also shared that most customers tip at least $800, or about $200 per mover. I completely understand that tips are an important part of their income, and I genuinely felt this crew deserved to be rewarded for the outstanding job they did. We ended up tipping the crew very generously because we truly appreciated their hard work. Afterward, the head mover was sincerely appreciative and thanked us, explaining how much they rely on tips and how much it helps them. I appreciated his gratitude. However, discussing specific tip amounts and comparing them to what other customers give made me feel pressured and put on the spot. Everyone's financial situation and budget are different. Some customers may be able to give more, while others may not, and that's okay. A tip is ultimately optional and should be appreciated regardless of the amount. I believe it's best to let customers decide what they feel is an appropriate gratuity without comparisons or suggested amounts. Aside from that one interaction, the service itself was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this company and would use them again in the future.

I used this moving company for my 4 bedroom one story home and I moved 15 minutes away (8 miles). He even tried to upcharge me for the 4th mover but luckily I saved the quote that Alex gave me. Well it took 11.5 hours (not including their lunch break) with 4 movers and they still didn't move everything. We just had to stop the time because it was getting so late. 3 of the guys were nice and they did most of the work, but Eric was a bit pushy and was always on his phone or going on a break. They took too many breaks (lasting 15-20 min each) and their lunch break was 2 hours. So they were off to a slow start in the morning. I really did not like that Eric tried to convince me to go to Home Depot to buy more moving boxes because they didn't have enough. As a moving company, you should have enough boxes. They were careful with my stuff, wrapping everything very carefully, but they were slow. They didn't clean anything up after they were done, left their cans, bottles, runner paper throughout the house. All in all, they were okay. Just really slow. This job should not have taken 11.5 hours

We have a 3 bedroom 2 bath and lots of heavy furniture (traeger smoker, liquor cabinet, table with 6 chairs, TV stand, dressers, etc) and 40+ boxes to move. From start to finish, the move took just under 5 hours. They made the move fun and packed while playing some old school jams! They used blankets and plastic wrap around furniture for extra padding. Not a single item was damaged! They even lower the dolly very gently when unloading boxes. They packed everything like Tetris masters into the 26ft truck and made it 1 trip. When unloading at the new house, they confirmed where we wanted each box and piece of furniture unloaded. Hoping we don't have to move again anytime soon but if we do, will 100% book with them again!

Nicole and her husband are amazing and seem to really care about the company taking care of their customers. I scheduled a move fairly close to my move date and they were able to come out same day for a quote. The quote was very competitive and came with a large trailer. The day before the move she called to let me know something was preventing the trailer from getting to us but that they'd provide two trucks (more room) no charge instead. The crew was very friendly and efficient. They wrapped our items well as promised, packed the truck thoughtfully, and worked hard. They showed up on time and delivered on time.
