My daughter, now just 20 years old, found Raj when she was about 18 years old. Raj has repaired all of her car's issues and, is always at a fair price. Raj is kind, and accommodating and he does fantastic work. We just had our 1974 Chevy Suburban towed to Raj - it was all very last minute, but Raj was able to add our car to his list and enabled us to park our truck in his locked premises in the meantime. At 1130, I made an appointment for service on my 2019 BMW 1:30 pm same day. I drove up at 1230 to see if they could take me earlier. They were busy and told me to come back at 1:30pm. I came back at 1:30 pm. At 2:30 pm, they told me they had just received the oil for the BMW. Then they told me they would not get the oil filter until 4:30 pm. They did give me rides to / from my house so I would not have to wait on site. However, they do not appear to know what / how to service BMW even though they were recommended by Carmax. I thought Raj was the go to guy. Seems like a nice, honest dude. Then he replaced a very expensive part that he said would fix the problem. It didn't fix the problem, and he wanted to charge me twice as much as another shop I took it to afterwards to refix the actual problem. Thanks for taking $1200 off me, Raj. How about a refund ? Took my Japanese car for timing belt. Owner seemed on top of his game, but not impressed when he was 5 hrs late delivering car, and drive belts squeezed because he forgot to install power steering pump bolt, not to mention leaky radiator hose. These are not the problems I expect after giving him $500. Last time at this cowboys place. read more

My experience with Raj was unexpectedly great! The thing with cars is that they break! I know this because it's the nature of the beast. Even after you fix:replace, etc it can still break! You can't blame a mechanics if your car breaks again. There are many things that can cause. My car blew a speak plug out of the engine. Fixing it is a very delicate operation. Raj quoted me for one hour labor to check it out and possibly repair if time permitted in that hour. I left it overnight for that. The next day he informed me of the result. The revised quote was for another hour of work. So I would pay for two hrs labor plus parts. He went above and beyond by ordering the correct tools to do this delicate operation. He asked me if I was willing to wait a week as his tool Supplier was finding the parts. Yes of course I would wait because for one, I was feeling comfortable with is honesty and transparency. Two, his quote was hundreds less than competing shops that charge a flat rate for a spark Plug blowout repair. One week later my car was ready. I picked it up with no problems. If that same plug blows out again I know it's not his fault because these things happen. He assured me it won't but I have bad luck with cars. Which is why I know so much. I have had to fix my own car many times. I rarely give 5 stars. 4 stars is a perfect experience for me. 5 stars is out of this world jumping out of my chair review!! Do yourself a favor and at least give him a chance. Talk to him yourself and don't believe all these reviews. Especially the one from the guy with the engine rebuild. He's probably just mad because his car is a piece of you know what and he didn't have the sense to sell it before it becomes a money pit. read more

I came in two and a half months ago for a engine rebuild. P.A.C. kept my car for over a month stating that he was adding a 1,200 dollar charge on top of his original quote. " Your car will need the extra parts to make your car run good as new" , I approved the extra parts thinking I was getting a SAFE and healthy engine. WRONG Lets keep in mind that I came originally for an engine rebuild. I will be cataloging ALL the things that went wrong so bare with me if this is long wait till the end there is a kicker. With in 8 days of picking up my car from P.A.C. the engine shut its self off with out a sign of any "check engine" light. but just be fore the car shut down the steering wheel / power steering pump too gave out. The following morning the car was towed to P.A.C. shop. Raj the owner kept the car for 2 days. He explained that I had to pay for a computer chip (it fried), A new power steering pump (he never put power steering fluid after the rebuild), and alignment ( which he never did after he adjusted my axles) == I paid another 550.00 now on top of everything to assure my car was good. NOT Right off the gate the aliment I paid for NEVER straighten out the car. That weekend I brought my vehicle to a tire and wheel place to replace the front tires and they notified me that the car needed an alignment, I explained that I had one done 3 days ago, They took me out back to look at the laser guided alignment machine with a fancy computer screen that literally pointed out the off center points. I could not believe what I was seeing. NOW 4 days after taking the car out now the 2nd time the NEW power steering pump started to leak badly. It destroyed my driveway with all the fluid. Called Raj the owner again. Slowly drove to his shop now for the 3rd time. This time I did not drop off the car I stayed to make sure we both test drove the car. There was not receipt printed this time so not sure what he did or did not do. Took the test drive as a good indicator things were well. NOT 24 hours after the 3rd so call fix the power steering started to leak again further destroying my driveway. I called Raj and left a VM at the office to notify. I explained that I no longer wanted him touching my car. Yesterday I towed the car to Toyota dealership and told them to check thoroughly what P.A.C. did and fix that too. I pulled my car out just a couple of hours ago and ended paying 1,300 dollars on some of P.A.C. mistakes and for the necessary parts to make my car run good again. I will not post ALL the other mistakes Toyota found/pointed out from this so called experts work, but as you can all tell I will NOT be coming back. Raj - never refunded me the second alignment I did, even after showing him the spectrometer report printout from the tire and wheel shop, he shrugged it off as it did not matter that I had to correct his work. He never apologized for making pay twice either. Best of luck with you car and hope you have a better out come that I did. read more

I recently had some issues with my car and I had to find a place that was convenient for me. I do not usually like to go to the big dealerships, only because my Toyota is a 97. They usually try and sell me a new car. I found this place, honestly, by accident but I couldn't be happier with the service. I ended up needing a lot of work done. I had break problems, air filter issues, shock problems and a couple other things (oil change and other basic maintenance). Great customer service, great information, solid recommendations and speedy service! When I got my car back, it was driving better than it has in a long time. I took my 2010 E350 Mercedes to this shop for an inspection on my intake manifold and Raj was very professional and thorough. He inspected my car and put it on the scanner and found the transmission was skipping in second gear. He reset it and that was included in the cost of the inspection. Raj and his team came through for me and my vehicle during an unexpected break down in Martinez when several other shops in the area could not including Pep Boys, Sears, Firestone, and others who I had called previously that same morning. My 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon had a failed alternator the night before driving through on my way to Santa Cruz from Sacramento. When I finally called Raj around 10 am he was able to locate the right part, including a battery, have them at his shop before noon, and had my vehicle ready to go by 1:30 pm. Note that he was prepared to accept and install any part that I had on hand which the other shops would not have done. I know a good amount about cars. The crew here know a lot about cars. I took a 2003 Buick by that I was thinking about purchasing. I had taken it to another mechanic who told me not to buy it because of a radiator issue, completely misdiagnosing the issue and almost preventing me from buying the car.
