Took my brand new M3 with 874 miles (5 weeks old) to Pacific Auto Body to repair significant damage. Front and back bumpers, fender, and rebuild of the passenger side rail (this required total engine removal, dash removal, etc). While the car is still under repair, been a while, due to numerous rounds with the adjuster and delay of one tiny part needed from Germany, no fault of Pacific. Barrett (the owner) has been fantastic to work with, texts on an every other day basis, sends pictures, confident everything will be done properly. Further, Pacific know's what they're good at, and know's what they're not equipped to do - of the $30k-ish repair, over $19k was done directly at BMW Seattle. I am so disappointed in the place and the person who runs it. I had a small amount of work that needed to be done, basically replacing a piece of chrome that was missing from front of my car. When I took it in I said that it was a small job and may not be worth their time. Barrett did the quote, said it was small but would do it. He gave me a quote. I told him that I had called a dealer in town to see what the cost of the part was, as I wanted to know if it was something I would need to file a claim on. His quote showed the part at $50, he asks what they quoted me I say $70. So he tells me to come in anytime on Friday that it will only take a few minutes to put the part on. Great. As I am leaving he starts saying that the price may go up as he cannot take less than the dealer. I just laughed and said I did not see it going up that much. Cut to Friday, I bring my car in. No part. Computer says it is there but he cannot find it. He will call me as soon as he finds it. Surprise no phone call ever came. Again I recognize this was a small job, but I love my car and if I had ever needed body work done in the future I would have always returned here for them doing my original small job. Plus he was getting paid for labor etc. It was not free. So now I have wasted a week, still missing the chrome off my car. I do not recommend this place, especially for small jobs or for women. Stay away from Pacific Auto Body! I would give this shop zero stars if I could; you will be much better off choosing from any of the other body shops in the Seattle area! I dropped off my car during the first week of October 2016. I had gotten into an accident that had damaged the front bumper of my car and the estimated completion time was two weeks. I got my car back on February 24th, FIVE MONTHS later. The only reason I chose PAB was because of a recommendation from BMW Seattle and it was definitely a mistake. Their receptionists never keep you updated as promised and instead, I have reached out weekly only to be met with endless excuses blaming the dealership or the holidays for their lack of progress. I would also likely to specifically mention Robert (owner? Manager?) for his extreme lack of professionalism. I would have been much less frustrated if I was told up front that this job would take 5 months instead of being promised 2 weeks, then 2 months, then another 5 weeks etc! With so many delays, I have to conclude that Robert is either unable to accurately estimate a completion date because of his incompetence, or was straight up lying to me each time. It was also quite alarming of Robert to reach out in regards to my original Yelp review, and inform me that if I took my review down, he would do 'all in his power' to push his team and BMW Seattle (who was replacing the engine) to work as fast as possible. Shouldn't he and his team already have been working as quickly as possible!? I especially appreciated his not so subtle threats when he claimed that if the job was rushed it was 'very likely something would go wrong' and that his technician would continue to drag things on if I upset their 'sensitive' team. Additionally, about 2 weeks before the work was completed, PAB informed me of an additional $10,000 expense that would be charged to my insurance. When I asked why this was not included or mentioned in the first 3 quotes they presented for the job, I was told 'not to worry about it' because my insurance was sure to cover it! Overall, terrible experience from a shady establishment with no sense of customer service whatsoever. read more

Initially the repair estimate was fairly low and within reason. They told me it would take approx 10 days to complete the work and have it ready for pick up. The car was not ready when they said it would. They then upped the price more than double the estimate!! They tried to give me reasons for the additional charges. I said, ok, but I need it in writing that nothing else would increase the rate. He came back saying there might be charges for additional nuts and bolts and other minor repairs amounting to maybe an additional $200!! I said no way!! They completed the work more than a month after promised. I would not recommend this place based off the time it took for repair and the additional charges incurred. read more

my 89 bmw 325 I was hit on the bumper and above the rear quarter panel, p.a.b. estimate was 7 to 10 days and $3000. It had to be taken apart and repainted in those areas. Reality is that it took 45 days (thats fron Jan. 3rd to Feb. 14) and the bill was $5400 The center strip on the bumper has a chunk out of it and there are places where the paint did'nt cover. Their communication throughout this horrible experience was below zero on a scale of one to ten. In addition ( maybe co incidence maybe not ) we had our car for 4 hours it broke down on the freeway and we had to get a new motor, another $3400 this is a car I bought from the original owner and have all the service records from the time it was new and took great care of. hmmmm! This shop is defintely not worth all those othe good reviews so far. Very unprofessional and not taking the initiatives to let the customer know what is delaying the repair process. I definitely would NOT recommend this shop to ANYONE. In this day and age, you need much better service to survive in any business and BARRET and his shop would NOT survive long. read more

Terrible ... Barrett is one fast talker I would not recommend them at all. He has my 760li and he didn't order pinstripe what an idiot and he's had the car for a month. I recently had my truck fixed by Pacific Auto Body and can tell you that I was nothing but impressed. I have had the unfortunate luck of visiting many body shops over the years and this was by far the best experience I ever had. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a customer is supposed to be. Then after they took the time to explain the entire process to me they worked directly with my insurance company so the only thing I had to do was pick my truck up when it was ready. They actually told me it would be a week to get it fixed and then called a day early to pick it up! If you do ever crash and need body work done to your vehicle do yourself a favor and contact these guys they are the best in the business. read more

Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Crashed my car late on a Saturday night and had it towed to Pacific Auto body based on a friends recommendation. Pacific Auto body contacted me promptly on monday morning and walked me through the entire process. They got me the quote back within a day or two. They were kind, efficient, honest, and really actually empathetic to my situation. I guess to put it briefly, if I were to crash my car again (knock on wood) I definitely would have it towed to Pacific Auto Body. read more

We used this service once prior and it took a lot of follow up on our part in dealing with Barret to complete the work. A second collision prompted my son, who's car it was to use this shop again, would not have been my decision because of the first go around. In short, after reassurance many times from Barret, that he wanted the work and would get back to me, it took constant follow up on my part over a three week period, which ended up with absolutely no progress from day one, except excuse after excuse, just unacceptable and more importantly its just not right and my son who is on deployment which Barret new was counting and relying on feedback. Even after I got the "He was waiting for your Call" as the final insult I said I would have to rethink our option's...at this point you would think you would get a call back...and this was a 12k plus job from the appraisal that I originally forwarded to Barrett which after a week plus I called and he asked me to send the appraisal and I told him he has it!!, just unbelievable.....nothing but lip service!!!. I have been in sales and management for 30+ years and never written a negative response...but I wanted to make the effort here, after all what recourse do we have accept to at least advise others of our experiences so they have the chance to make an informed decision..... read more
