We booked a party of 12 for happy hour and time it so we can order off the happy hour menu for appetizers and the rest on the reg menu that the girl on the phone told us to do. Well I guess they only serve on one side of the restaurant so she said she couldn't do it because it was not in the notes but she was just so rude about it. We ask for the Gm and he was willing to move us to the other side and make it right . Had an amazing first time at Pacific Catch and I see myself coming here in the future! First of all, biggest shoutout to Gabriel (I hope I remembered correctly). He was the friendliest and funniest server I've ever interacted with. I appreciated how he went out of the way to make my meal special. I felt like he had asked the chefs to prepare a couple dishes differently and I appreciate the staff for doing that for us. The food was incredible! This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Our server, Eric, took our order incorrectly. We ordered the Wagyu Burger, but he brought us the Salmon Burger instead. When we politely let him know it wasn't what we ordered, he acted as if it was somehow our fault and gave us a very rude attitude instead of simply apologizing for the mistake. After taking the incorrect burger back, he eventually brought the correct Wagyu Burger. However, he still added the Salmon Burger to our bill. It seemed like he ended up covering the cost himself because he didn't want to tell his manager about the mistake, but that should never have become our problem in the first place. We ended up paying extra for the Salmon Burger. The food was disappointing as well. The rice was hard and had crunchy pieces that were unpleasant to eat, and the overall quality did not match the prices. Between the poor food, the long wait, and the extremely unprofessional service, this was a very frustrating experience. read more

I fell in love with this restaurant in SF years ago, so you can imagine my absolute thrill when they finally opened a location here! We've already been twice, and they have completely knocked it out of the park both times. The vibe is immaculate--the decor is gorgeous and has a coastal, beachy feel that makes you feel like you've been transported straight to Monterey. Plus, their patio is absolute perfection for dog owners, complete with a dedicated "dog menu" for your fur baby! The food is phenomenal, but the service is truly next-level. On our first visit, we were blessed with Serenity as our server. She is the absolute sweetest and radiates so much passion for the brand's sustainability efforts. As a conscious consumer, it was incredibly refreshing to get that insider perspective. Knowing how environmentally friendly they aim to be, and how wonderfully they treat their staff, gives us all the more incentive to become regulars. For our second visit, the wonderful Gregory took care of us. He is simply the best and ensures you want for nothing! Now, let's talk about the food. Both times, we ordered a trio of dishes: - The Calamari: Hands down, the best calamari you will ever have. The light breading is perfection, and the fried lemon slices elevate it to another level (though we only got one lemon slice on our second visit--more consistency there would be amazing because they are addictive!). - The Guaca Poke: Incredibly fresh flavor! Our only critique is that both times we noticed a few stringy pieces of tuna, and the chips felt a bit like they were verging on stale rather than freshly made. Still delicious, but has room to perfect. - The Summer Sea Bass: Absolutely ZERO notes. We love every single inch of this dish. Unprofessional and Hazardous Dining Experience - Disregarding Child & Food Safety We dined here today and were seated at a table right next to the front reception/host stand, with my children sitting on the inside. Throughout our entire meal, the hosting staff continuously and aggressively sprayed alcohol/sanitizer right in our direction to clean menus and the counter. There was absolutely no barrier or shield between the host stand and our dining table. The chemical mist was constantly drifting directly over our food and toward my family. This is incredibly unprofessional and a serious health hazard. Spraying airborne chemicals so close to active dining tables--especially with young toddlers present--shows a complete lack of basic food safety protocols and common sense. We left feeling incredibly anxious about whether our food had been contaminated. Management desperately needs to retrain their staff on how and where to properly sanitize items away from customers. read more

I've been to multiple pacific catch locations - and they usually don't disappoint. From service, to food quality, and even though PC is on the pricier side, they usually give you a good amount of food in return - they usually don't disappoint. This location - super disappointed and will not be returning. To be fair, the staff were all super nice. The bad experience came in as follows: 1. The prices here are $3-$4 dollars more per item than all other locations I've been to. 2. That's fine, we ordered anyways and did not say anything. I ordered the mix catch - one of my favorite things here - what I got was a joke. A tray composed mostly of fries and some calamari, a tiny crab cake, and the smallest pieces of fish I've ever seen with fish n chips (one biters). I proceeded to consume the food but could not help but feel had. For $27, I got mostly fries, a handful of calamari, a tine crake, and two bite sized pieces of breaded fish. I walked out feeling really bad about the whole thing. Not only are their prices higher than other pacific catch locations, the amount of food they give you is funny for the price (little value) when other locations are so generous. I will not be coming back here - only reason for the two stars versus one is because the staff were really nice. read more

She was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions! She recommended the summer sea bass and she did not steer me wrong, it was delicious! Reminded me of the infamous mama's fish house in Maui! The calamari is the best I've ever had. The food is so fresh, prices are fair. We did not want dessert but she suggested the chocolate cake with ice cream and that was divine. We were so impressed at the level of service we received, considering it just opened! I really wanted to like this place as I had the Tustin location bookmarked for some time. The interior aesthetic definitely felt welcoming and clean , like all most new restaurants. It seemed very promising for the food to have the same quality as the restaurant itself. However, It was a bit disappointing when the menu was not the same as the other locations. There was quite a huge difference and came as a surprise on the menu change. With that we rolled with it and ordered what seemed fitting for our appetite. Portions are definitely small for the price point and the fries seemed just like mc Donald's fries to be honest. You'll be paying premium price for it. The small plates were mediocre at best with maybe some good sauces. Service was great and attentive with zero complaints there. It would have been a total bust and probably not return if our server wasn't so awesome. At the end of the day I may still give it another go and try some of the mains another time. read more

I can see why the crabcakes are recommended but the portion size is sad. Their main fishes are overly salty. Their house salad dressing and brussel sprouts are overly sweet. The lemonades and 'POG' are from concentrate and taste like it. Service is extremely average. We visited during off hours and there was still no FOH to greet us. They also took 10 minutes to even offer water. Our waiter didn't bother inputting our order while at the table and had to come back to clarify what we ordered. If you're going to do this then you should have the memorization skills to back it up. They also brought the wrong appetizer at first (it was a sushi roll and the portion was also sad looking). We had four different service-people come through the table. While this may seem hospitable, to someone with years of service experience it's simply unnecessary, inefficient, and clunky. Beautiful new grill at the Brea Mall. We were excited to try some of the happy hour and main dishes. Ordered a California Roll and the Salmon Chowder. Both items were bland. The California definitely felt pre-made and the crab filling was dry almost tunafish like. The Salmon Chowder had no flavor and was disappointing. Ordered macadamia sea bass was kind of weird with a big purple squash covered with yellow stuff. The seabass was completely covered by what I thought was rice or crumbs. The seabass was over cooked a bit dry. The other main dish was the yellow tail dish, it to was over cooked and the mash potatoes were flavorless. A little disappointed, but it's only been open a month. Got to give it some time.. we left hungry, portions were smaller Than usual. Value wise, it was pricey.. over a hundred bucks for a late lunch. This place is so good. I don't know where to start. Let's start with a service everyone here greets you with a smile. They are generally happy to work here. My absolute favor servers are Erik and Gregory. The first time I had Erik he was amazing very helpful. Very patient easy and made my first time experience one I just had to return to. I loved how easy-going he was and he made sure all needs were met. My second time I had Gregory and he was also top-tier. Gregory is so good that you will want for nothing if you could think of a item you may need he already brought it to the table. I love that he thinks outside of the box and brings you additional things that he thinks you may want he really has mastered customer service and goes above and beyond to get to know his customer which is not something people do in the food industry. There's also another really sweet woman that is so kind so overall the staff here is 10 out of 10 best overall staff that I have ever encountered at a restaurant as a whole. The food is absolutely divine. You cannot miss the lobster roll and the Thai brussels sprouts they have an amazing happy hour. That is truly too good to be true for the prices in the value this place genuinely gives you quality food at fair prices. Let's not forget the ambiance, if you wanna feel like you escape to some tropical island then this is your place. The decor is so Vibey it feels like you're on vacation in the day. It's so beautiful and vibrant and in the night it's a very cozy and romantic I love all of the flowers and greenery. It feels like you have a left and are not in Orange County shout out to the interior designers. they did an excellent job with this location. Second time coming to Pacific Catch and I am hooked! Our server Mini was an absolute delight, she was so friendly and helpful. We ordered the piña colada and Mojito (nonalcoholic) and they were both very refreshing. The first time I came here I had the chirashi bowl, which was fresh and delicious. Traffic snarls, detours, sand and dirt everywhere. That's what kept me away from the front entrance to the Brea Mall. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to take a drive around. Not easy!! I was taken by the addition of a seafood restaurant. I went on line and saw it was open for business. When plans for dinner at Benihana had to be put on hold due to one of the guests illiness, my friend and I decided to try Pacific Catch. I made the reservation. Allow time to find parking!!!. I dropped Mickey off at the restaurant and went in search of a space. Mickey was seated when I arrived ! WELL IT WAS CERTAINLY WORTH THE TRIP. Hannah, the best of the best, asked if we had any questions. We did and she answered all of them. She also saw that we were well attended. The Korean spareribs were out of this world delicious. We ordered tacos. Yummy! Brussel sprouts . The best I've tasted. And Hannah was always near to make recommendations. LOVE HER! The menu offers many choices and options. I gave Pacific Catch a raving 1st review, but now I'm having second thoughts. I have made two reservations for dinner on two seperate dates and they were both cancelled. I tried to walk up to the restaurant and said I would wait for an open table and they refused, even though there were several open tables. I know they don't want to over work their staff, but to call me and cancel two of my reservations....hummmmm. I think this is a management issue and not an employee/server issue. I have been here 3 times and 2 of the 3 they did not have certain items. First visit, I ordered a blood orange margarita and they didn't have blood orange mix. Recently, I ordered ceviche and they offered Cholula or Tabasco. I asked for Cholula and they did not have it. There is no excuse for a restaurant to not have items on their menu. You can send somebody down the street to the market or even Uber Eats your missing ingredients. This is poor management.
