Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. It's not super difficult to get the texture right on battered fish and chips but along with that it had the perfect thickness. It will be difficult to keep me away from here for that. I got the fish tacos. Maybe it's my scornful indifference toward avocados but I felt the ratio of protein to toppings a little bit off. What was there was incredible but it was not exactly the perfect bite. My wife on the other hand loved the amounts on them. Did not know that Pacific Coast had a small restaurant called Westcoast bowls under them. When I was on door dash and came across Westcoast bowls I was really surprised that they were under Pacific Catch. I'm writing the review under Pacific Catch because I couldn't find Westcoast bowls on yelp lol My boyfriend and I have the hardest time figuring out what we want to eat for almost every meal except breakfast haha . It seems like that is a constant thing lol we wanted something healthy that included a protein for dinner. I came across Westcoast bowls and looked at the items they were offering and it was exactly what we were looking for. My boyfriend got the Hawaiian Teriyaki Grilled Chicken (Large) which he was very happy with. There wasn't too much teriyaki sauce so he said he would order more next time. I ordered the Luau Bowl Crispy Chicken Katsu (Small). Everything in the bowl just went so well together. It was definitely a lot of food. I had half for lunch the next day. Second time eating here. This time, we ordered takeout. We got the Wasabi Poké and Serrano Poké. The Wasabi Poké bowl was absolutely phenomenal. Loved ahi poké with the wasabi and soy marinade. The wasabi was not too overpowering and the sushi rice was an excellent complement for the poké. I really enjoyed the wakame seaweed salad. Loved the texture and flavor. The pickled cucumber and ginger were fabulous additions to my bowl. This bowl definitely redeemed my previous experience with Pacific Catch. The Serrano poké was pretty nice. It was spicy with the Serrano chilies and sriracha aioli. The yellowfin ahi was fresh and soaked up that marinade. Loved the wonton chips. They were crispy and complemented the poké very well. I was fortunate to pair the sushi rice with the Serrano poké and that just enhanced my meal. I was very satisfied with my order due to the freshness of my two orders. I only wished that my order came with utensils and napkins. I did not have any, unless I needed to request them upon picking up my order. So even though this was a salad, it was very hearty. The elote seemed hard so it may have been overcooked/grilled. 4.5/5 Belle had the three taco combo. I forget now, but I think it was fried shrimp, fried fish and grilled fish. As there was a lot of food, she didn't even try the grilled fish and ended up taking it home. 5/5 We also had the Thai brussel sprouts. Couldn't figure out why they were 'Thai' - didn't taste any specific spices. Nevertheless, they were crispy. 4.5/5 Belle also had the guava-rita. 5/5 She started feeling its effects after our meal. Came here for a late lunch with my son. The atmosphere was nice and not many people here at all for the time. We were greeted within a few minutes and once seated the waiter came over shortly to take our drink/ food orders. Our food and drinks came out quick and was delicious as well. Finally a new real sit down resturant with waiter and waitress service. I'm tired of waiting in line to order my food then find a table then go back and get my food. Get up again to get my drink. I want to sit and relax while food is ordered from and brought to the table. I get it labor isn't cheap. But when I go out I expect to pay for service. We had dinner at Pacific Catch recently, a nice quiet table for two. Nothing crazy with the drinks, just a glass of white wine & a Deschutes Fresh Haze IPA for me. Our waiter was excellent, friendly, natural, but attentive. We asked about a couple of the wines by the glass, and he actually brought over a couple of tastes on the house! NIce. My wife had plate of the Sea Bass, with 2 sides, broccolini and fries. I had the Thai Green Curry (Grilled Salmon) mixes with roasted delicata squash, zucchini, red bell peppers, broccoli, green papaya salad, coconut curry sauce, Thai basil | Base: sushi rice, mixed organic greens. It was great. Both portions were reasonably generous, especially the very creative Thai Green Curry veggie mix. Everything left a very nice taste in my mouth, except the 3% surcharge added to the bill (fine print on the bottom of the menu!) for new CA minimum wage law hikes, which are not fair for struggling restaurants or stretched consumers, given that the new regime completely ignores the significant pay bumps with tipping (most people, 20%). I was super excited to try Pacific Catch. I have seen many amazing photos and reviews on the food. They even have really great reach out to possible customers on social media. I wanted to try a couple things so I got the seasoned fries, three sushi tacos, and the trio ceviche/poke with the two ceviches and the original poke. The only reason I am able to give two stars is for the sushi tacos. These were honestly really good. I would come back for the sushi tacos. The fish was fresh. They were light. All around good flavors for each of the three. The yellow tail was my favorite. The fries were missing the sauce it was supposed to come with and the trio was missing the tortilla chips and wonton chips. I think I would have liked the trio with the chips more than trying to eat it plain. However aside from the missing items both of these were way to salty! The fries were so salty I threw just about the whole box away. Also the original tuna poke was sooo salty. The yellow tail and shrimp ceviche were just not what I've heard people rave about. I'm pretty disappointed about my visit. If you come you need to definitely try the sushi tacos. Also make sure you get all your items.... and ask for light salt. read more

Placed an online order for two of the kids meals and despite asking for tartar sauce and ranch, I didn't get any! Chicken strip meal and fish and chips should have come with some kind of sauce. I was left with none!! Also, the chicken strips were extremely dry! Extremely overcooked! And that's saying a lot because I usually like my chicken on the dry end. Trendy seafood spot in downtown Walnut Creek. This review is based on the happy hour menu. Trio of Poke/Ceviche- I ordered the Ahi Tuna, Salmon Avocado, and Shrimp Ceviche. All of the poke/Ceviche are pre-made with the ingredients and sauce so alterations are not possible. There was too much salt in the Ahi Tuna but the Salmon was well-dressed and delicious. The chips were a bit to hard to bite and too salty, but I enjoyed the wontons which were easy to chew and had minimal flavor (which makes the fish flavors stronger). Overall the quality of the fish was Firecracker Salmon Roll- A good portion size! There was a good amount of cooked salmon too. The "spicy" sauce lacked the kick I wanted from a roll with "firecracker" in its name. read more

This past Sunday, I joined my son & his partner for a brunch @ the joint. We set outdoor to enjoy a pleasant fall weather. I ordered West Coast style salmon in a regular size and boy! Oh!! boy!!!. I really had to push myself to polish the plate up which was decked w greens, grilled cauliflower, picked raffish, avocado & a good portion of grilled salmon which was fresh and juicy while keeping just the right chunkiness. My son and his ordered coconut coated shrimps and assorted pokes which they had a delish time finishing 'em up. The hostess, server and bussing individuals were attentive & prompt. The outdoor sitting is dog friendly so our two four legged had a quite time licking crumbs off the patio floor. To that end, I would like to hope the establishment do carry out a power wash of the floor more often. Such a measure would encourage us to visit the place more often. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious ! I would say the lobster roll is cold but would be better hot - maybe a suggestion or option ? But either way ! We had to get out door seating. It was the perfect weather they had heating lamps out and my girlfriend and I had an amazing time visiting this place for the first time. Worst experience with food quality and manager's concerns of service. Our four children's meals came out last which I ordered first to avoid the issue. 4 Soda's came out with no ice. No apology for appetizers being served after entrees. Our main entrees arrived Cold, the food runner stated because it's cold outside. No apology offered and shocked at managers lack of concern. I've never been much of a raw fish person but I thought I'd try poke since I've been hearing so much about it lately. I happened upon this restuarant only because I was in the area shopping (I love downtown Walnut Creek for shopping by the way.), and it was one of three restaurants that were still open past 9pm (within eye range, anyway). I went in, looked at the menu, decided I didn't want anything, left to look around some more and eventually wound up back here ordering salmon and avocado poke, with a side of sweet potato fries. The poke was more flavorful than I expected and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I found that it tasted really good with the wonton chips that came on the side. Because I have somewhat of an aversion to raw fish, I couldn't finish it! The sweet potato fries were delicious though. Don't let my feelings about poke deter you from this place though. I enjoyed the warm breeze, sitting out on their spacious patio, and the servers and wait staff are super friendly. My phone died before I could call a Lyft and I was allowed to charge it at their hostess station, AND one of the staff (didn't get her name, but she is tall with blond hair) offered to order an uber for me. Like gaaawwwd $&#%!!! Holy $&@#!!! Oooh my $!&@?#% GAWD! Yes... that's what I feel like doing right now. I don't want this review to get flagged by Yelp, so I'll keep it PG (wink wink). Their menu will probably make your head spin. Too many delicious options to choose from on that menu. I actually changed my order once and then changed it back because I literally couldn't decide on just one thing. Everything sounds and looks amazing! But for all of you fried seafood lovers out there; get the MIXED CATCH! Do it! You most certainly won't regret it. The French fries and dipping sauces were also enjoyable, but the crab cake just stole the show for me. This was easily an award winning meal. Not only are they esthetically pleasing, but they are tasty and strong; just the way I love 'em! I had their kiwi flash and and their spicy pacific cocktail. Both were delicious, but I kinda fell in love with the spicy pacific. Something about that passionfruit purée and Tito's Vodka... yeah, that part. I also had a sip of a chocolate martini (off the menu) and it was sensational. It's a full service bar ladies and gents, so you WILL get full service. Speaking of service; it's exceptional here! The restaurant manager Sabrina made it a point to work her way around the room and check in on all of the guests. She was so pleasant and I appreciated her concern for her patrons. Dacia was super fun and bubbly! She was sweet enough to accompany me while I dined it and gave me some great suggestions for next time! Jose was so entertaining and funny! I already mentioned Alyssa, but I have to mention her again. This young lady was working the bar like there was no tomorrow! I literally met half of the staff on my first night. The staff seemed so close knit like a family despite them only being open for less than a month! It was such a joy to see. The decor is simply stunning! This was such a great dining experience! The ambience is amazing with the river so close. If you sit outside you can listen to the sound of the water flowing while you eat your food.
