We moved my mother who is, 76 years old, to Arizona from California. I hadn't used movers ever before and was worried that my daughter, mom, and I wouldn't be able to carry her furniture down from her 3rd floor condo. In addition, my mother has a hard time with downsizing. I knew that she would have large and heavy boxes filled with everything she has ever owned. Lastly, the service elevator was shaky and felt as if it was going to stop working at anytime. Not something we wanted to deal with during a move. Michael and Beka arrived on time and were very professional! They wasted no time, assessed the UHaul truck size (which was potentially not big enough because I underestimated how much stuff she has) and all of my mom's belongings. They wrapped and disassembled all the furniture, stacked everything properly, and stabilized everything with tie downs so that nothing would move during the drive to AZ. They finished before the 2 hour minimum! They were worth every dollar! I would hire them again over and over! Best moving company I've worked with! We have moved 4 times in the last 8 years; the first three were only 2-3 blocks apart, in San Francisco and this time we moved to San Diego. Their quote was so much lower than the rest that I carefully examined their yelp reviews, BBB & anything else I could find online. Another company tried to scare me over text message, warning me that I've been under quoted and to be careful with "them" (I didn't mention who I went with). Michael was extremely professional and always responded quickly so we moved forward and hired his team for our move. They arrived early & I let them know that our freight elevator was broken. The walking distance would be much farther, they couldn't take more than 3 boxes down at a time & unlike the information submitted in the quote, there would likely be 5 flights of stairs to take large items down. Luckily, they used expert level Tetris skills to fit all of our furniture in the common elevator. No one complained, they joked with us about it and was so happy when they didn't charge us more than quoted for the significantly longer distance they had to move items. A+ read more

We were moving out of state from California. We began to panic when other companies were quoting a delivery window of up to 14 days after the pick up. Michael was able to schedule us on our preferred date and because they do personalized moves (they don't hold your stuff in a warehouse until they have multiple moves to fill a truck) they were able to drive straight to our new home and drop off our items within 3 days (the time it took to make the drive). And they were priced about the same as the other quotes that we got. On the day of the move they showed up on time. We had packed our items in boxes and they wrapped and packed the furniture and TV. Use these guys. Due to a strict budget, I shopped around everywhere before deciding on a mover. Pacific Coast Movers had the most competitive rate, and they only charged a flat $35 for the drive. No double drive time at all! My move on 9/14/13 was a bit complicated, as there were two pickup locations with a 30 minute drive in between them and the drop off location was a long distance from where the truck could be parked. Because of the distance, I chose to hire 4 men. The guys they sent (Alex, Denis, Dustin and Evgeniy) were friendly and worked efficiently. They managed to finish the entire job in 4 and a half hours, and I didn't exceed my budget! They were very good about protecting fragile electronics and furniture, and did not charge for the materials used. They also provided 4 wardrobe boxes at no additional charge. Made my move from an apartment to a house a breeze! Alex and Dennis showed up on time ready to transport my entire apartment. They came prepared with shrink wrap and blankets to ease my worries and handled all my large furniture with care while working efficiently the entire day. I really appreciate people who can make hard things easier. And what can be harder and more stressful than moving?! Even though we don't have many things, moving to our new apartment was a pure nervous breakdown for me. Or let's say it supposed to be a pure nervous breakdown until we found this moving company. I didn't worry about transportation of the things but I really couldn't understand how to pack all the stuff we have. Especially my precious collection of porcelain which is extremely fragile. But movers from this company (one of them was Alex and the name of another I don't remember unfortunately) came with all necessary packing materials and took care of everything: from my husband's huge chair to my miniature porcelain cups. And nothing was damaged or even scratched because those guys did gentle and meticulous packing in paper and bubble-wrap. And I liked those special boxes for clothes - they are so cute just like small wardrobes :) What is also important our helpers from Pacific Coast Movers took care of our time. I have no idea how they managed to be at our home at 8 a.m because the traffic is terrifying at that time but somehow they did!! They worked fast and in three or maybe four hours the truck was full with our accurately packed stuff. And through all that time the guys remained friendly and kept smiling. Even when I asked stupid questions they answered them super politely providing all the details. I am satisfied with every dollar I spend on this service because this moving company REALLY HELPED me to minimize stress and to avoid my nervous breakdown. I moved this weekend from Van Nuys to West Hollywood and it was a total breeze. WITH traffic my movers Tim and Alex, did the move in 3.5 hours, which is insane (when I moved myself from my apartment to storage which literally was across the street, a year ago, it took us six+ hours!) We recieved a bid from the company and they took a 832 and some change deposit once they finally showed up late by 2hrs they proceeded to tell us that the bid was now going to be over 8k to move our stuff. They refused to refund out deposit and were extremely pushy. No one will return my calls to get our money back and the bid clearly starts the money would be refunded minus 3 percent! This outfit was FANTASTIC from start to finish. They were the first to provide us with a bid and were the only outfit to provide us with an "true" expedite move (we moved out of state from La Canada to Austin, TX) where they picked up our items on Thursday and drove them straight out to Texas, with receipt on Monday morning. The other outfit's expedite move still required us to leave our items in storage and wait another two weeks before receipt. Also, their bid was by far the most competitive. We had constant communication throughout the process with Michael and the packing was superb......no scratches or damage. I can't say enough good things about this moving outfit.....I'd heard a fair number of horror stories from friends who have moved out of state, along with my realtor who was uncomfortable with movers she's referred in the past on her clients' feedback to provide us with their names. And I had no time to choose (it seems there are thousands of moving companies in LA!!). So I asked a friend of mine who moved from New York to LA not so long ago about the company that helped him and he gave me the number of those guys from Pacific Cost Movers. Well, they really know what "I have no time" means! They did everything super fast, super neatly and the movers were super friendly. I am a professional dancer so I have my stage costumes which need to be transported carefully. And my concerns about that issue were heard and taken into account. Frankly speaking I can't say their service is cheap but when you need to change your life like in a day you pay for it.
