Delicious food! A Pedro institution. You'd in for a wait at breakfast but well worth the wait. Local fishing town vibe. Great friendly service! Went during off hours before closing and not crowded. We're so hungry forgot to get shots of food. Trust me - delicious! The fish sandwich amazing. Subbed fries for the homemade potato salad -delish!! The bowl of chili topped with cheese and onions so good. 2 blocks down from a beautiful Pacific coast overlook. Been going here for decades! Check it out it's a classic!!

My order. There's a 3% surcharge for using a credit card.

Got the Bacon "N" 2 Eggs with coffee. Everything was good. The bacon was crispy. The home potatoes tasted like they were cooked with butter. The coffee was a nice mild roast. There is seating both inside and in the patio area. Inside has a counter and two booths. I took a quick look at the patio area and it looked spacious. There is parking available. I went on a Saturday after 09:00 and there were approximately 4 parking spaces available. Service was very friendly and prompt. I think it only took about 5 minutes to receive my breakfast. There's also a 3% surcharge for using a credit card.

Pacific Diner brought back some memories of some old school diners like I grew up with in New Jersey, maybe with a little bit of a California beach vibe added in. There were some regulars sitting at the counter and a menu with drawings and puns made to look like a newspaper. We were in the neighborhood because we had stayed overnight at a hotel a few doors down before a cruise. We wanted a good breakfast, because you never know if they're going to have enough food on those cruise ships (I'm joking!) I was excited to try the chili verde omelette and my husband got the steak bits and eggs. Both were delicious and we also loved the biscuits! I also appreciated that my home fries were crispy and brown - I hate when you get barely-cooked-potatoes that are supposed to be home fries! Our meal was tasty, the coffee kept coming, and our server was friendly and efficient. If I was a local, I'd be here all the time.

When you're craving brunch and you're in the area, swing by. The menu is pretty expansive. I had a hard time choosing. Luckily when I'm in a group I can sample a bunch of stuff from others. The crab omelette, machada, and beef stroganoff omelet are fire! Great waffles too. Good coffee and plenty of seats. Service is great too.

A great neighborhood diner up on the hill in San Pedro. We came for breakfast around 10 am on a Sunday morning and expected a wait. No wait for a table of 2. Awesome! After reading the many options, I chose the crab avocado omelette -- hey, we're by the water. It was huge, loaded with crab and avocado and topped with a tasty hollandaise. The potatoes alongside were crispy and plentiful. And they even made my toast cinnamon toast! That was unexpected and super tasty. Brewed iced tea, too (not that nasty fountain stuff). And there's even parking. What else could you ask for?

Still great after all these years. Marinated Steak Bits and Eggs are the best thing on the menu. Don't forget to check the Daily Specials Board. Omelettes are awesome; especially the crab omelette and some of the specials. Get the house Pico de Gallo, even if you only have potatoes and eggs to put it on.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good. For the omelette, the hero was the avocado. The rich and creaminess texture from the avocado made the omelette that much more enjoyable. The toast was crunchy and buttery. The coffee was a nice medium roast. The home-fried potatoes were good. However, I prefer mine a little more crispier. Seating is available at the counter, booths and in the small patio area. Service was very friendly and prompt. There is a very small parking area. I opted to park in the residential area. It's a classic diner type restaurant that serves good quality food at a reasonable price. It took me a minute to select an omelette since there were so many options on the menu. But I ultimately settled on the avocado, bacon, and cheese omelette. It came with home fried potatoes. The omelette, on its own, was pretty good. It was hearty and filling. However, when paired with their slightly spicy salsa (which doesn't come with the dish, but you can ask for), it was fantastic. Seriously, ask for the salsa. You'll thank me later. Can't say much about the home fried potatoes. The potatoes were good, but nothing special. The same can be said about the service. I don't have anything good or bad to say about it. The server did everything you would expect from a server, nothing more, nothing less. One note about this establishment before I conclude this review. They prefer cash. If you pay with a card, they will charge you an extra $1.50.

I've tried many of the other restaurants in the area and for some reason had missed this one because I don't live close by. This past weekend I gave it a try and thought it was terrific. There is a free parking lot attached on the side of the building so parking is very easy and inside is pretty large with booth seating as well as regular table seating. They also have outdoor seating as well, but it was a bit windy on the day we stopped in. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. They also had a very large amount of limited time specials so I had to take them up on one of those options. We started off with the coffee cake and I thought it was pretty good although it was gigantic. I'm a bit more of a fan of the gooier coffee cake and this was a bit cake ear but still it was enjoyable. I also tried the spicy turkey chili and thought that was a 10 out of 10. I absolutely loved the amount of spice and it had some really great flavors. For my breakfast, I chose one of the specials, which was the Carne Asada Chilaquiles and thought it was terrific. It was a ton of meat and it was honestly more than I could finish, but I really enjoyed trying to. I would definitely recommend and would stop again next time I'm in the area.
