I purchased a four-panel folding door as a room separator from Pacific Doorcraft in Sept, 2025. I am not a professional contractor but have acted as General on several remodels and new builds. This was one of the most problematic experiences I have been through. It caused me many days' worth of wasted time and in the end, I was left with a substandard product and installation. The folks I worked with were nice and seemed to care, but in the end were not knowledgeable or capable enough to accomplish what needed to get done. 5 months after initiating dialogue with Pacific Doorcraft, the real problems started at installation in March, 2025. We might have been able to work through many of the mistakes and oversights by Pacific Doorcraft such as: * Not enough hinge screws provided * Top and bottom hardware rails too long and need to be shortened * Trim facia too short * Door length too long and needed to be shortened (Pacific Doorcraft came out to the job site and did their own measurements) * Not enough top rollers to support all four panels * Door hardware screws too short (this required more trips to several hardware stores before I found the specialty screws needed) * Bottom rail hardware not functional so we abandoned the bottom door guide under the advice from Pacific Doorcraft and were told the doors did not need it... ...but when we went to mount the third swinging panel, we realized that the doors were hinged incorrectly, after several hours of trying to make things work it was clear we could not complete the installation. To his credit, the owner came out to assess and agreed that the doors needed to be hinged differently. He took the doors back to the shop for rework and offered to come out and help me finish the installation. When he came back, the installation was partially successful, but the doors don't fold flat against the wall and pull awkwardly against the hardware. He admitted that was the best he could do and told me it should be OK. He then measured for the correct trim length and offered to redo the trim pieces. After several days, I went to pick up the trim and drove back to the job site to install it. The trim pieces were each 3 inches too short! I then had to make another trip to the lumber yard, purchase more trim, cut it to the correct size and install it. What should have taken me 30 min, took me half a day. It was the straw that broke the camel's back and led me to write this review. Could I have double checked the trim length before I picked it up...yes, could I have double checked every piece of work along the way to make sure they did everything correct, maybe? Is that what I expect from a vendor and who I want to work with, NO! Engage this company with caution. read more

I highly recommend working with Pacific Doorcraft! I worked with Andrew and Daniel for a storage builtin in my new house. I wanted a modern and look, and they completely understood the aesthetic. I got to choose a stain from several choices. They were great to work with and very responsive. The overall process was very quick. The installers worked hard to make sure that the cabinetry lined up perfectly with the wall and dropped ceiling for that custom builtin look. There are so many beautiful details like how the grain aligns vertically across the cabinet and drawers and the neat installation of the outlet covers inside the cabinet. It took my wife and me quite some time to figure out what we were looking for, and the team there was super helpful and patient. Eventually, we ordered and once ready, I wanted to safe some money and pick it up myself, to which the team was ready to load into my van. They gave us a few recommendations for installers, but with the help of my neighbor (a carpenter by trade) we were able to do this ourselves. There were a couple of lose ends (some screws and a touch up kit we needed) and the team there took care of us. read more

They have professional connections in the bay so it's a value to me even if I ultimately didn't buy from them directly. I'll be looking to get a wood door from these folks in the future. I needed to replace some interior doors but couldn't find a place that will cut and drill them for me. I was referred to Andrew and upon reaching out, he helped me immensely. Daniel helped me with my remodel needs, though it is a small order, and went above and beyond; gave me excellent alternatives and suggestions, came out to the property to measure and followed up after the installation to make sure everything went fine. We've had to keep chasing the staff (Andrew), and when we finally got a hold of him, he said he would process our order. We waited weeks and found out our order was never processed. Pacific Doorcraft has been amazing to work with. I reached out to them because I had exhausted my search for a prefabricated pocket door with a mirror on one side. Ivan responded to my inquiry and was immediately helpful with options that fit my timeframe and budget. They made a semi-custom door to my specs that included a quality wooden door (primed), mirror on one side, cutouts for my selected hardware, and groove for the sliding mechanism. During the process, it was very easy to communicate with Ivan, and he always made sure to clarify my needs/wants for the door. When my husband I and finally decided to tackle some repairs to the façade of our home, we decided to get a new front door, as well. I started to look at Google images for what I wanted and promptly found the most obscure mid-century modern "diamond door" of my dreams. Luckily, our most excellent contractor (Ted Tamone) pointed us in the direction of Pacific Doorcraft. When I entered the showroom, I was greeted by Andrew (owner), who quickly became as excited about my vision as I was, and quickly gave me some options for pulling everything together. When I returned to the showroom with my husband to hammer out the details, we met with Ivan, who very patiently explained what would be needed in terms of the type of wood, glass, staining options, and of course, hardware. Ivan was always available for questions and replied to our emails, texts, and phone calls promptly. He even found a way to have the fluted glass cut on the bias, so that it would be vertical, to fit the diamond shape, rather than installed on an angle to fit the square shape, for which I thought we would have to settle. This 5-star review is mostly for Ivan Palomares. We went to multiple other door places, and in-stock doors availability is basically the same lead time for most places. Unfortunately, custom door lead times are too long right now. What really set Pacific Doorcraft apart was the service. Ivan was ultra responsive by email from the beginning. He was happy to research things with us and was very helpful in his guidance. I appreciate that he was not pushy - he didn't try to upsell things excessively, and he was honest with his experience with specific door types and recommendations. We ultimately got a Simpson wood door and a Thermatru fiberglass door. After our order was placed, his communication was excellent in keeping us updated. On the other hand, multiple other door places we visited never responded back at all to multiple emails and often didn't even pick up their phones (despite being helpful in person). Pricing was competitive, delivery was reasonable, and most importantly, customer service was stellar. Even after the doors were delivered, Ivan remained impressively responsive and helpful with additional requests. Again, ask for Ivan! read more

Andrew and Gonzalo came to my rescue when I needed a new front door asap!!! I had gone to Home Depot and a few other door companies who told me they didn't want or couldn't do the job. I guess we have a weird front door set up. I made an appointment with Andrew and Gonzalo and they came to check out my old door and said they could make it happen. On delivery day, they took my old door and machined the new door so it matched the dimensions of the old one. The new door is beautiful! read more

We were going to settle for a big box door to replace all the doors in the house but the doors were hollow and low quality. I purchased mirror closet door and they had a manufacturing defect (imperfect reflection). I had earlier given low stars as the previous management did not revert back to check upon on the issue. Last year Andrew took over the business and immediately engaged customers like me. I was pleasantly surprised to see him drop by personally at my home and check the problem. They had the manufacturer come over and validate the issue. To make up for the delay he got the new doors pre cut and delivered to me (amazing). Mistakes, very long delays, no upfront communications. No ownership on issues: Either blaming suppliers or the customers! When asked what is son with the door supplier, they respond they sent an email... what abo it picking up the phone? No sense of urgency whatsoever, long turn around on quotes. He refused to accept responsibility for many blunders (which ended up in us receiving doors we did not order) He would type-in my invoice in email, with wrong numbers. I note that Amal K. is displeased and regrets buying doors from me. Certainly she is welcome to have any opinion. One exterior door was not the style that she really wanted which was her original selection. But she was looking for cost saving options. So on the second of 5 additional quotes the door design was changed to a lower priced product. This was clearly indicated on the written quote which we always provide. She did not take the time to read the quote yet finally said "let's proceed, here is my deposit" She further states that " I refused to accept responsibility for many blunders" Many, really? one door was wrong but clearly stipulated on the quote. I wish I would have read the other reviews about horrible customer service and people's experience with Gary. He was who helped me, unfortunately. I would not recommend anyone to go with them. We ended up paying 40% more to fix things on the door we ordered. I'm not sure if Gary is the owner so he gets away with a sale, then not being helpful and charging customers more to fix mistakes or what but it is disheartening. Steer clear of this shop. As a contractor I have had a very bad experience. The level of detail and precision in taking and detailing an order leaves much to be desired. This shop cost me thousands of dollars when they did not order the correct quantity of doors. Then they refused to take responsibility for their mistake knowing I had no choice but to pay to get the doors I needed to finish the job. Ordering and paying for door was fine. HOWEVER, we have the following problems with our door: 1) ordered prehung doors and they were delivered not hung, 2) ordered double doors, and only expected 1 side to have pre-drilled holes, but both doors were drilled for door handles, 3) jam and door quality was poor. There were scuff marks and chips around the jam. The doors and jam will need to be finished. Gary refused to take any responsibility or do anything about it. He claimed they don't deliver prehung doors hung on the jam. Really? Stay far away as individuals. If you do order, make your contractor order and take responsibility. Our contractor referred us here and was with us when we ordered, so needless to say that contractor is no longer installing the doors for us. read more
