Tucked away in what appears to be an industrial complex is a food court. Tucked away in this food court is PACIFIC NOODLE HOUSE. I've been to many Pho restaurants in my lifetime, and although I'm neither Vietnamese or a Pho-specialist, this restaurant is my favorite Pho restaurant. First of all, it's CLEAN! Secondly, the staff/waiters are great. Thirdly, the prices are very reasonable. Fourthly, if you go in a group, they bill you separately (for those of you who has short-changers in a group (and there's always 1), this is good news). Fifthly, service is quick. Yuuuuummmmm, my second favorite next to the Blue Lotus!! The customer service is friendly and very accommodating!!! I went a couple of times and they had free drinks. The egg rolls were delicious and the sauce was just as good as the pinkish red sauce you would normally receive with egg rolls!!! this place gets two stars only because the thai iced tea was AMAZING! but i didn't get whipped cream on top... i'm trying to eat healthy.. well... healthier lol i decided to come here after reading all the great reviews of this place. i was soooo disa-freakin-pointed!! first of all, jimmy's cup had lipstick on it and when he called the lady over and asked for a different cup, she gave him this look like "are you kidding? you use a straw anyways so why do you care?" she didn't say sorry... she just walked away with the cup and brought back another one. the pho had this sweet taste which i wasn't too fond of and they're sandwich tasted pretty dry. plus it was in a really odd area and the building was a bright purple. ick. i don't think i'll be making a trip back. read more

It was good, not super but good. portion was HUGE! I had the shrimp pho, was tasty but i wish it had more shrimp but that could just be me being a fat ass. lol . We always come for lunch must say the food is good but today I experienced the worst service, we ordered a spring roll and it had a hair when they brought another one (with no hair) we ate a piece but were grossed out and the owner with an attitude stated that if we ate a piece we must buy the whole role. My second time eating Pho and I have to say this place is MUCH better than the Pho I had in La Jolla. It is a small family owned restaurant and its reflected in the quality of the food and the quality of the service. (Their son was our waiter and he was realllly cute). But cute boys aside, the food was excellent and the service was rapid. I recommend the Thai iced tea, spring rolls with peanut sauce, egg rolls with fish sauce, and the combination Pho. All were excellent beyond compare. One of the chefs even made us some special fried rice of his own creation. Not on the menu, but wanted us to try it anyway. Too good to pass up. I ordered pho to go and it came in a foam container as usual, but when I opened up the container of broth there were little white chunks floating around and as I started to drink the broth I noticed that the walls of the foam container had been disintegrating, probably due to the heat of the broth placed inside the container. The Pacific Noodle House would know that you can't put boiling broth inside of a foam container as it will degrade and end up as particles in you soup. Styrene the polymer that makes up foam is not good for you health (look it up) when it is consumed, especially in larger quantities due to being degrading by putting too hot material in contact with it. i as soon as I saw this, i stopped drinking it and threw it away. Someone should call the health department on places like this. I think it's just that they don't know better. Also my order came out to $7.92 and I wanted to pay with a debit card and the lady looks me in the eye and say that there is a minimum $8.00 purchase in order to use a debit card. My bill needed to be $0.08, more if I wanted to use my card. F'in ridiculous, First Visa and MasterCard should be called because it is against the contract between the credit card company and merchant to force card users to make a minimum purchase. Places like this should be reported so that they don't pull the wool over consumers eyes. I am not trying to be a jerk but the customer service in this place is questionable. And in my opinion, it doesn't matter how good your food is, if the service sucks, I won't come back. I'll spend my money at the overcrowded Pho-King before I will ever come here again. So be warned, if you are going to eat in at this place by all means enjoy, but if you are taking food out, please inspect you containers, they may be trying to poison you without them even knowing it. read more

I had the combination pho for lunch. Didn't have much expectation due to its location but was pleasantly surprised. The pho was actually pretty damn good. It came out nice and hot with just enough flavoring in the soup. It came with a plate of condiment typical of what you'll find in most vietnamese restaurants. Their viet coffee was good and legit even though I didn't get to see the actual dripping process(it came already prepared in a glass). Probably more of a 3.5 star but I tend to round down. read more

pho- it was ok !! its clean and edible but i have had alot of places that tasted better. eggrolls- loved the egg rolls. grilled pork - . i was actually upset with the fact that they charge almost $9 for tiny little portion of pork and some rice. Pork isn't an expensive meat especially if its pork shoulder.wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been to at least 50 different pho shops all over los angeles county. never in my 20 years of eating pho have i ever seen sooo little meat on a plate. a 2 year old child wouldnt even get full off the amount of pork they put on there. it was embarrassing.. i dont know if ill ever come back here because the portion of the pork actually made me feel like i got ripped off. i work literally 2 blocks from there but i would rather get on the freeway drive down to carson and pick up my food 20 min away then get food from here again. read more

I'm pretty sure I've yet to ever give a pho place bad reviews. I just love my noodles and broth too much. This place was very good, I got the large chicken pho to-go. The inside of the restaurant is nice. Parking can be a bit tight, but not their fault. I was really impressed with the quality of meat. Not real chewy/tough/fatty like a lot of places. I love this place!!!! My co-workers and I eat there for lunch almost every week!!! The to go pho' is soo big, that two can share! The employees are sooo nice, fast, and efficent!! It doesn't matter how busy they are, you never wait, nor are you ever neglected of good service!!!! Their jasmine tea is delicious, and you can get it iced as well! The spicy chicken pho' is my fav, as well as the shrimp pho'!!! The spring rolls are too yummy, the peanut sauce they serve it with is to die!!! I come here often and I'm never disappointed from the food to the service. What I love most is that they do not charge to make "MINOR" adjustments to the order. For instance, whenever I order 19A, i always substitute the pork to chicken. And for the spicy noodle soup, I ask for the normal noodles rather than the thicker noodle it normally comes with. read more

I usually don't venture out to the Compton area but the GF was around the area for job training. Pacific Noodle House is located in what seems to look like a warehouse district and it looks like all the food places here rent out from them. So don't expect anything fancy when you dine in this area. The GF ordered the spring rolls which were good and typical of what you would get elsewhere. I got the large bowl of pho which actually satisfied my tastes for pho without leaving me with that MSG feeling. I would say that it was slightly above average for pho. The place does have a wide variety of selections if you aren't in the mood for pho. The service here was also ok and it wasn't loud and obnoxious in there. This is, hands down, one of my favorite lunch spots to go. They quickly serve a big, hot, tasty, bowl of pho that hits the spot and doesnt leave me feeling sluggish after lunch. This place is good in my book. I didn't come here to eat, but I did step inside to order my to-go. What I had ordered was a Steak & Shrimp Pho To-Go. You might think this is impossible, but trust me... it is. I had to get this to-go, because it literally will have to take 2+ hours to make the broth, etc at home and I have a sick boyfriend at home that neeed this remedy. I came in here today (Monday, lunch time.. 12:30PM) and it was pretty packed (all seats were taken) but I ordered to go, so it was no big deal to me. A man spoke to me as I entered, asking if I was eating there or if it was for take out... I wasn't sure if he was a worker until I asked him to repeat his question. I came up to the counter, ordered the Pho but asked the woman to NOT cook the noodles and meat so I can do that when I get at home. That was no problem. The food came out within I want to say... 3-5 minutes. Probably 3 minutes. The soup came in a styrofoam cup within a styrofoam cup (to keep it hot... or maybe use it as my bowl when I'm done cooking. Either way, works for both). And the meat, onions, herbs, etc. came in a regular take out styrofoam right underneath it, and the uncooked noodles was on the side of that. I thought for such a request like this, they excuted it nicely, and the service was pretty quick and up-beat. For a place like this, it's really nice to have especially when I work in an industrial part of town. I would come here again to get something to-go, or maybe even a solo lunch one day. read more

This place is more Americanized than your traditional vietnamese food but its still pretty good especially considering that its in Compton. My favorite here is the shrimp and pork vermicelli. The shrimp has a butter taste and the pork is grilled. Pretty hard to mess up grilled pork. The fish sauce is more like sweet and sour that is a bit on the salty side but I have love salty foods so no complaints here. This place is a decent place to get Pho or vermicelli but it closes at 5pm. read more

I love this place. The food is good not awesome. I had the pho steak and brisket and it was tasty. They're good with the portions and they'll give you extra basil without being cheapskates. Great pho! I had the brisket and it was as good as any other place I've had it, but what really made it for me was that they use NO MSG! That's hard to find in a good Viet place. I loved the eggrolls, so nice and crunchy, and the spring rolls were really fresh, especially considering how they came out so quickly. Drinks are alright, with the tea being my favorite. Cold brewed from loose leaf. Jenny and Andy are really, really friendly people and they'll remember you if you come back a few times! Good luck finding parking though! read more
