Since moving to San Diego 5 years ago from the Midwest I have been looking for a pizza place that tasted as good as my hometown. Thankfully, I found Pacific Pizza and they know how to make a pie that rises to the challenge. The chain pizzas don't even come close. If you want a taste of perfection go no further than this fine establishment. Pacific Pizza is my default go to place. As far as I'm concerned there is no better in the San Diego area. Had my first order yesterday and let's just say started off rocky. Some how wrong home address was issued (my fault) and food was delivered to wrong house. With in minutes of texting driver the store called me and all they wanted to do was to get me my food. In this time of shut down and Restaurants losing business all they wanted was to make it right. Got pizza by the slice, not bad but not amazing, 3-4 stars for that. However, their COVID precautions were very off-putting during a mask-mandated time. The girl at the register wore a mask at the register but pulled it down under her chin every time she walked into the kitchen area, and also had gloves and was handling my credit card, the register and machines, and immediately went back and was handling our food (after pulling her mask down) with her gloved hands without washing or changing gloves. They also didn't have any sanitizer anywhere on-site (neither for customer or employee use). The guy cooking in back wore a mask over his mouth but left nose uncovered, went into a back area and was eating while our pizza cooked, and went back and worked with the pizza again without any hand washing or sanitizing, and they were talking over the food as they prepared. In normal times, I would question the sanitation, in COVID times under indoor mask mandate, it is just irresponsible for food industry service. I probably won't go back. read more

We ordered a meal (pizza, salad, chicken with garlic bread) through a delivery service. We were notified by the delivery service that the restaurant was behind. The ETA was 40-50 minutes. It didn't come until over 1.5 hours (we live about 10 minutes away so distance wasn't the issu. Not fun when there's a hungry toddler. And then the order was missing food. I tried to call several times to see how we could remedy the situation. But no one answered. Very frustrated. The pizza was good but not sure it's worth the missing food and super delayed arrival. UPDATE: John contacted me to apologize and explain how difficult it has been to maintain the number of orders on weekends with limited staff. He was very kind and humble. Walked in casually with wife and baby just because I saw this new place in the neighborhood and asked how long it would take for a nice large san diegan pizza (extra crispy). The pizza chef told me he could get me in and make it in 10 mins. The pizza came out perfectly with a good amount of toppings and perfectly crisp all the way around. The dough and especially the crust was very good. I like to dip my crust in habanero hot sauce from trader joes just as a pro-tip haha. Will definitely order again. We ordered from here for the first time tonight and both agree it's the best pizza we've had in San Diego! Got a half bacon/half pepperoni pizza which arrived hot and was super delicious. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings, and the crust was bomb- crispy and chewy. Being from the east coast, we have high expectations for good pizza, and we were very impressed by this place. We will definitely be ordering from Pacific Pizza again! read more

We were so excited for this place to open and we were not disappointed!! This will be our new go to for pizza and salads. The crust is absolutely perfect! Thin and foldable with a good taste. Love the cheese and sauce. Have not found any pizza in San Diego that has reminded me so much of the stuff I grew up with. The greek salad is perfect! Sizes are good. I think my only gripe is that they offer only one beverage size and a large option would be nice. Glad to see something other than a big name chain open up in this area. I was excited to try this as it had good reviews. I just want to make a comment on major health concerns. While waiting at the cash register, I witnessed a young girl (wearing Cheetah Vans) making Caesars salad's. She used her BARE HANDS to get lettuce out of bin and make the rest of the salad. From there she helped customers, worked the register, brought food out to customers, put pizza's in boxes, adjust her mask, rubbed her nose, etc. without washing her hands before making the salads, after making the salad's or doing various tasks in between. I thought maybe I was mistaken but than I saw her make another Caesar salad WITHOUT wearing gloves or washing her hands! They were busy however this is a major health risk on so many levels, especially with Covid pandemic going on. Customer health and safety should be of upmost concern. Eat at your own risk read more

Came by for a quick bite before taking my dog to the vet a couple of doors down. We were warmly greeted into the restaurant where we placed our order with a very sweet cashier. The wife and I were craving pizza yesterday but wanted something different from the usual crap you get from the franchise cookie cutter joints. So after looking on Yelp we came across this new place. We decided to place a take out order for the medium San Diegan Pie. I gotta tell you, John the owner and staff knocked it outta the park. The pizza was real tasty with all the right ingredients. The only problem was we should've dined in to get that fresh from the oven hot to the table mouth watering taste. Next time we're dining in. They also have lots of other items on the menu as well. Overall not great pizza. Undercooked despite being ordered lightly well done. One item of note, if you add spinach as a topping, they don't put it on top, they bury it under the cheese and cover the entire thing about 8 leaves deep. The result is a pizza that tastes only like spinach, no matter what else is on it. read more

Their pizza reminds me of Costco Pizza. Only Costco pizza is much larger and fills you up. Don't go on a Friday night. They might mix your orders up or possibly forget about your order. We had the San Diegan and it was just okay. We order our pizza at 7 pm and we were told it would take 15 minutes before it was ready. 45 minutes later we got our pizza. We used to love this place. Tonight, we ordered a pizza and a sandwich. Their website said 45 mins for delivery. It took almost 2 hours to get the order, which was cold AND WRONG!!! The entire pizza had black olives on it, which nobody in my family likes. Even if you pick them off, the pizza tastes like nasty olives. So we called (a few times, my husband was livid) to get a refund and we had to call another company to get a refund! This place is not worth $45 for a pizza we wouldn't eat and a very cold sandwich and a ridiculous headache at 8 pm, and my family still hasn't eaten dinner. read more

Great prices, great food, awesome service! My kids and I went in for the first time and Chase took the time to explain the menu and deals to us. We ordered a full spaghetti and meatballs as well as the two big slices of pizza which we all shared and still had leftovers. Chase double cut the pizza and divided the pasta for us- he definitely went above and beyond. My teenage daughter said, "I feel so welcome!" and I couldn't agree more. All around awful! Was told the pizza would be ready in 25 minutes. Showed up and entered to what was the end of what seemed like a pretty heated argument between the manager and another person. Then had to wait an additional 25 minutes for the pizza. After all of that, the pizza was very bland, skimpy on toppings, extremely burnt on the bottom yet undercooked on top. The manager should concentrate on making pizza instead of arguing in front of customers. Will certainly not be returning. read more
