Pacific Ranch Market is a nice grocery store to shop at! Like the midway point between a Ralph's/Vons and Whole Foods. Their deli is pretty good too - you can get a meal with choice of entree and 2 sides (one from the glass case with things such as Italian pasta salad, Macaroni salad, etc...). And most of the staff are cool, personable people. I had to deduct 1 point though cuz the benches to eat at in front of the store are filthy, covered in bird poop. My family and I have been shopping here for over 25 years. I have always been willing to pay the higher price for their amazing meat and deli selections because they are top notch. However, I am horrified at the lack of concern and lackadaisical handling to the Covid pandemic by customers strolling in without masks and actually making a big deal that they aren't wearing one. Other stores in the area are making a commitment to follow the guidelines. When management has been called they say they "recommend masks" and will not mandate. This has become our favorite local market! My husband loves their wine selection and I love their special promotion of fruits and their deli! Sometimes when we are too lazy to cook; we came and pick up some ready to heat and eat pasta, chicken and salad. Or cheese and meats and some breads! I live in Anaheim Hills/Villa Park area since 1985 and have been shopping with you for 30 years. While I usually have shopped with our local Ralph's for regular items, you have always been my family's go to for special produce, deli and meat items. Our local businesses including Ralph's have abided by the required mandate for masks along with social distancing within the store. Sanitized carts, signage and people directing within to send a message. My husband is on staff at UCI Medical Center and the messaging needs to be loud and clear if we are to get through this anytime soon. This is real and I suggest that you make it clear to your patrons that you mean business and if they don't like it? Where else can they go to shop because the state mandated certain protocols for our safety. I know this is difficult for but it is for all us. 7/14/20. I received a response from the owner and have been reassured that extra safety precautions have been put into place. We really love this market, we get great meat, produce and other items that some grocery stores don't carry. They also do absolutely amazing holiday meals. This year I decided I didn't want to cook and it's the first time in my life myself or my family did not cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We decided to try what Pacific Ranch had to offer, the price was great and they pretty much provided everything I would have cooked on my own. I was extremely nervous that this would not go well, I've never ordered a meal like this for holiday or another occasion - and on Thanksgiving I was blown away. Turkey - amazing, stuffing - amazing, mashed potatoes - amazing, gravy- freaking phenomenal. You can really screw a turkey up, it can be over done, dry, flavorless or even undercooked but this 18 lb bird was perfect. The only thing we didn't care for were the yams, but I grew up with them a certain way so next year I'll just go back to making my own. I can honestly say I may never cook a Thanksgiving meal again as long as I can order one from Pacific Ranch. Thanks guys, you knocked it out of the park! read more

Such an awesome little market! We were in this shopping center having lunch today, so BF and I went in to check it out. I was totally impressed! While I didn't buy all that much, everything looked great and I think I will come back over here for some groceries. Their meat and seafood looked amazing, but was a little pricey. I honestly don't care though if it is good quality, I don't mind paying a bit more. They had a very nice cheese selection, and we all know I love my cheese! The produce was amazing. All of it looked so fresh, and I didn't see anything with bruising or anything like that. The prices of the produce were good. They had Chanterelle Mushrooms that I pay $8 for at Ralphs for only $3! They also had a great selection of pasta, and their bakery looked so delicious. The wine/hard alcohol selection was good. One of the best supermarkets in the area, including Tustin and Irvine. Exceptionally good selection on cold cuts, meat and Port wine. Cheese selection is quite good as well. Price point between Whole Foods and Bristol Farm. I found this supermarket because of the best frozen puff pastry was discontinued at Sprouts - it's called 'Dufour'. It's produced from the East Coast and it's seriously THE BEST frozen puff pastry there is. I have tried them all. They are the only supermarket carry 'Dufour' frozen puff pastry in this area. I went in to get the pastry but was pleasantly surprised at how well this supermarket stocked some of the finest foods around. So I ended up with a whole basket of goodies ! This grocery market is the best in Orange County, California. The lead people managing the different departments in the grocery store are all knowledgeable and pleasant. The butcher shop is tops in OC and the fish selection is always fresh. Their wine selection seems hand-picked in that there are both great deals and unusual finds for sale. Lastly, I have never had anything but exceptional quality, house-made delicatessen items from this store. I cannot say that about any other grocery store that I've been to in Orange County. This review is purely for Taylor's customer service at Pacific Ranch. She was extremely rude. I was having trouble pulling my ID out of my wallet and she got rude and impatient and was like just give it to me in the wallet. Then the system when I was paying some how exited out of the signature screen when I picked up the pen to sign and she scolded me. And I said I'm sorry I don't know what happened and she said "it went thru but you must have hit something, just WHATEVER" and rolled her eyes. Her attitude really got to me. Silvia and Alex said the folks who do that custom work would be in the next day. I told them it did not have to be perfect. They found the frostings in your fridge and Alex made a pastry bag out of a food bag. He said "I have never done this before" and then proceeded. It came out perfectly. Just upgraded to north Tustin area after many years in Newport. We were missing Irvine Ranch market and it's a pain to drive all the way there now from here. Pacific Ranch is very similar to Irvine Ranch except bigger and better lit. I would not be surprised if you told me they were under same ownership or else started out that way. Alright. I have lived up the street from this place for 25 years. I dearly love this place forever and will frequent it for all of my random last minute grocery needs. They have an excellent selection of deli items and ready made food, the salad bar is awesome, wine selection is great, and it has a lot of family business based products in the store. I love it. Customer service is severely lacking. I grew up with many of the employees and they were always so nice to me and my family, so gracious and friendly. After the change in ownership, they hired a lot of people that don't care at all about their jobs and go out of their way to be rude. One in particular is Sylvia, who is so horrendous that I will deliberately wait in a longer line at checkout just to avoid her. She is so rude to the customers and really makes it a point to be angry at her co workers in front of us customers, I feel bad for the poor register people who have to endure her. My mom has been insulted by this woman and made numerous complaints about her in particular that have clearly not been addressed because she refuses to have a better attitude at work. It's so sad. The deli people continually make my sandwiches overpriced. My family and I order the same exact sandwich order every Saturday for lunch, three sandwiches. Two are turkey, and one is a vegetarian. The vegetarian has the same items in the sandwich as the turkey, but with no meat. I order this meatless sandwich with no cheese. It has all of the same items in this sandwich except for no meat and no cheese, but they deliberately charge me a dollar more. I've started ordering this specific sandwich every Saturday since August of this year. Every. Single. Saturday. I've made multiple complaints to the deli and to managers but it still continues to be a problem. Why are they charging me more to TAKE OFF two of the most expensive items in a sandwich? Clearly, the only way I can get any manager to address a real problem is to make a yelp review. I have two pictures of the sandwiches I order, one with meat and one without. Pacific Ranch market is my go-to stop after hiking at Peters Canyon. The only reason I go here is for their bran muffins. The four bran muffin and the honey bran with cream cheese are the best bran muffins I've ever had. BUT... I have never been impressed with the service here. The bakery workers getting our muffins each time seem like they don't want to be there. We have actually had the same cashier ring us up numerous times, and she is curt and not friendly at all. Everything in this store is overpriced. I was looking at their Israeli couscous for a recipe, and it is twice the price I pay at "normal" grocery stores...for the exact same product! This review is purely for the bakery. It was not a typical request of a grocery store bakery, but we had them do our wedding cake. The thing was a masterpiece with white chocolate curls adorning the outside. It was a white cake with strawberry and custard filling with a whipped topping. Wasn't only pretty but it was the best tasting wedding cake I have ever tasted. We tried the caterer's cakes, but were sorely disappointed as they were pretty dry and not that delicious. This cake was moist, flavorful, and we couldn't get enough. Hopefully I'll upload a picture for you guys. AMAZING. Strange place for me, as a non native santa anan, to get a wedding cake, but I would go here again and again, because they absolutely delivered. They source best local bakeries' products, like Sun Bakery, as well. *Deli cases* around the store offer great cheeses, in-store made dips(try their addictive creamy onion dip), freshly made salsas, takeaway portions, sushi and sashimi. *Everything* is a cut above. So helpful to be able to eat this well, consistently. Never fails to delight in terms of taste and freshness. This is a friendly, helpful, hands on store. Owners have changed during the past decades just a few times, and that's actually managed to increase an already high quality. Feel fortunate to have Pacific Ranch close enough to shop regularly. This is a tough review to do because I really love this market. They have a lot of variety of ingredients as well as ready made food. It's a hem gem. The reason why I only gave it a 2 stars is I brought 15 oysters from the place. I was planning to have some raw oysters for a gathering but to find 6 out of the 15 I purchased had parasites in them. I dont know if thy were old and been sitting there for sometime. Of course they had to be trashed. I was really bummed as I was shucking these bc I had a mini Oyster Bar theme menu except not enough oysters for my friends. Be careful ordering the pre-made chicken salad behind the deli counter. I bought 1/2 lb and made sandwiches for my lunches and loved it, so went back and bought a pound a few days after Christmas. Regrettably this time I ended up very sick for 3 days, just now getting better. I was the only one in my household to eat this chicken salad and was the only one sick. I've been going to the store for at least 15 years. Early on, it was very rare to find a "high-end" grocery store like PRM. Now, we have plenty of Whole Foods, Gelson's and Trader Joe's. PRM, it's not a very large store but somehow they always seem to carry what I am seeking. They have a terrific meat department (it's more like a butcher department). Prime grade beef with lots of different cuts. If they don't have what you want they are more than happy to get it in for you. I once ordered some cow femurs (for the dogs). The deli department has a rather ordinary selection on cold cuts, but their custom dishes are very good. They also make terrific sandwiches. Phil, who runs the wine department has a superb palate. I have bought more than a few bottles based on his recommendation and I've never regretted it. Produce department is also notable. Like the fact they carry some items from local farms. Bakery is small, but the stuff they have will keep you on the treadmill longer so you can justify the indulgence. Prices are not cheap, but you want too quality, it does come at a price. read more

I should have done a review earlier on this strange situation involving management. On a very dark and rainy night, I happened to find a large amount of cash in the parking lot (shared by many businesses). Being that I thought this was a trustworthy store, I took it in and notified the only manager on duty, Jorge. He gladly accepted the cash agreeing to hold it for 3 days and then return to me if unclaimed. This was Jorge's idea but I was hoping whoever lost it would go into this store and ask. The cash was never claimed per head manager Steve Moore. Instead it was taken from the store safe and donated to "the manager's fund" according to Mr. Moore. He also gave absurd excuses like "Managers often drop money." I am a resident of Orange Park Acres and work in the legal field. I was a customer along with my family. This is not your friendly neighborhood market as I thought. I would not trust this management team and question their ethics and cash handling in general. read more
