I usually come here to buy some fried fish and honestly it's such a great deal!!! service is always wonderful! Definitely a place where you could take your family here as well to shop! It's super clean inside.

Food is always good here. Service here is a hit or miss. The ambience here can get noisy just depending what time what time you come. Came and try the different food and shopping here.

Dropped by the hot food section to supplement healthier dinner options along with the jollibee fried chicken I got next store. Got my favorites, palabok and pancit. The items were extremely affordable at 5.99 per container and container was of good quality with a breathable lid. The palabok noodles were a little hard to digest, not sure if the noodles are suppose to be of that texture. The pacit was light but had hard chunks of dark meat chicken. Preferred to have no meat but it good overall. After I ordered, there were several ATES (Filipino Aunties) getting noodles after me.

This place has been hit or miss. Craving pinakbet, I tried to buy the prepackaged cut vegetables to add for the dish. The date indicated they were packaged 5 days prior. But going through ALL the packages, I found varying degrees of MOLD on them. There was moisture in all of them. Needless to say, I bypassed these and bought each veggie separately.

Black Strip on back of Shrimps were not cleaned at all.

Grill City: The Shrimps in their Shrimp Sinigang were not appropriately cleaned. They did not take out the black strip At the back to the Shrimps!

I was on hold for over 20 minutes, only to be told by another staff member that the young coconut for $9.99 is no longer available. She asked who was i talking to at first. Yeah they forgot about me. Then she mentioned they'll have deliveries tomorrow and suggested I call before coming in but the promo is only on weekends. Does she even know that? Wow... just wow. Great customer service, huh?

I didn't realize there was a Seafood City in Hayward on the Hesperian side of Southland Mall until recently when friends set-up a meetup here for lunch. There's parking on the Hesperian St side as well as the back side of the building facing Southland Mall. The supermarket is good sized, clean and bright with a seafood/meat department, produce section, some hot foods, and a large selection of Filipino/Asian groceries. If you're 55, get your Suki card and get 12% off on your purchase on Tuesdays. I've been getting my 3 Ladies jasmine rice here and the suki discount makes it a great price. Though Seafood City supermarket is the main business in the building, there's a Grill City, Ima's, Valerio's, Red Ribbon Bakery and Jollibee. Seafood City will be a regular stop for me now.

BBQ teriyaki salmon, steamed rice, chayote and pork.

I like this store. Great variety of food. Sometimes I shop here although pretty pricy like most stores these day. Today I had lunch in the dining area. A good selection of freshly made philipino food. I had the teriyaki bbq salmon with steamed rice and a side of sliced chayote and pork. All dishes were delicious.

This place itself has everything you need, because it has Jollibee,Red Ribbon,Grill City,a Bakery that i don't remember the name, and a Balikbayan store. But some the items doesn't have a price tag for some reason. Although the checkout line was long it is fine tho. But the inside of the store was spacious and nice. The items are a bit unorganized and some of them weren't belong in some aisle. Overall great experience

Fresh meat and fresh produce. The prices seem to be less expensive than major grocery chains. I picked up a few pounds of chicken legs. On sale for $0.89 lb. They were the size of baby dinosaur legs. Lol

    Receipt! Proof!!!

Ask the Community - Seafood City Supermarket

Hello, do you ubod ng niyog?

They probably have it in can and at the frozen section near the fish and meat area isles. If they are sold out then go to your nearest grocery store and they always have them in cans only.

    Do you take Apple Pay?

Hi , Ren. Sorry but Apple pay is not available as a payment option right now. Thank you!

Do you have premade Korean banchan?

Hello, sorry but we don't currently have this. Thank you

Are you guys open today New Years?

Yes, we are open until 6pm.

Are dungeness crabs (whole or clusters) sold here?

Yes, we do have them, but subject to availability.

Do you guys have Balikbayan Box shipping?

Hello, there is an Atlas Shippers inside Seafood City. You can try to contact them. :)

    Do they carry dry ice?

    I'm sorry, we don't.

Do they have boba you can prepare at home?

If you are looking for raw tapioca, we do, but not a boba mix.

Is it me or no one answers the phone when you call?

It's not just you, they don't seem to answer their phones there. I've called a couple times.

Do they have any Chinese sauces, like spicy broad bean paste or black bean sauce?

Yes you can get the sauce or canned black beans. Not sure about broad bean paste but they do carry various sauces and pastes for most Asian recipes.

Yelp says the store closes at 10 pm, however when I got there it was 9:15 pm and I wasn't allowed to come in... could someone please clarify your correct stores hours?

Nope....they officially closes @ 9:00pm everyday. Whoever told you that they close @10:00 pm LIED TO YOU!. They open up @ 8:00 am everyday so make a note of it!

Do they sell fish that is labeled "sashimi grade" or "sushi grade"?

Honestly? I wouldn't trust this market to carry High Grade Sashimi fish even though they carry a lot of fish other fish farms like Thailand and From Mainland China. You're better off going to Japan Town where you're surely get very high grade fish.…

    They have oysters?

    Yes they do

Parking can be hard to find especially since it is located in a busy area but once you find a spot it takes less than 15mins to pick and choose your food. I got a couple of rolls but the California roll is a bit pricy compared to other stores. Usually Cali rolls are about half the cost of the regular sushi rolls like cherry blossoms. Overall quality is great, price is reasonable. I loved the mango salmon. Def will be back!

There aren't many Japanese markets in the East Bay, so finding one compared to the markets in San Jose was a blessing. The workers were friendly as well. The shop was small but well maintained. The onigiri tasted even fresher than the ones I've had from Mitsuwa and Nijiya. They were generous with the fillings. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and quite affordable too. I had a nice drink to go with my snack and it was refreshing! I'm quite impressed with this grocery and will be back when I am visiting Castro Valley.

No biggie, I know how to use my phone to scan images. The produce section also has a freezer section with frozen dumplings, buns, and other stuff. The selection was amazing. The meat department had plenty of options from poultry to beef to seafood. They also had frozen meat and poultry in ice chests. I did come for loose leaf teas and found just what I needed. Everything is really great quality and they have different jujube options. I also loved their frozen ice cream and sweets.
