Cute and nice local place. We went for dinner to celebrate. We ordered chowder, crab cakes, salmon, shrimp scampi. Food was great with the exception of the chowder. Chowder tasted like straight heavy cream, and no other flavors... not sure why the reviews are so great for the chowder, maybe it was an off batch? We ordered bread pudding to go and the server assistant walked us through how to heat it up at home, which was great. Place is nice but there could be closer attention to detail (random stuff around), just not appealing for the 'fancy' restaurant in town. We spent about $100 on dinner for two. Dear Ms Seratista, My wife and I had dinner on Saturday, October 3rd. We were disappointed. We started with the Crispy Calamari and a drink. The Calamari was outstanding. For our dinner selection we both ordered the Hawaiian Mahi-Mahi Ala Dieppoise. After about a 45 minute wait, both dinners were delivered. My dinner did not have the fingerling potatoes, seasonal veggies or the prawns! My wife's dinner did not have the fingerling potatoes. Our waitress, Jessica (excellent), did eventually bring the prawns; however, there were no potatoes. As a substitute she did bring roasted potatoes, which were not not roasted well. Overall, the service was excellent. Our first visit to Pacific was September 10, 2012, which was my wife's birthday. We loved the place! The food, service etc was excellent. Subsequently, we went back when on the coast for the next several years. This was our first time back since your relocation and open since the COVID restrictions were lifted. We were excited. We're hoping this was a one time anomaly. (Note: as of October 27th I have not received a response. This represents my 1 star review. Unacceptable.) read more

First off, please note that Tillamook is not a town noted for fine dining. We've all been aware of problems getting good servers, Pacific has a particularly small pool to pull from. Folks who've worked at the local Mexican restaurants or Pelican Brewing. Pelican doesn't even do table service. I know this because I've been to both of those other restaurants and Pacific is definitely in another class. So to start, they're at a disadvantage. We sat at the bar and got food from the amazing $5 happy hour menu. A great $5 burger, say what? The mozzarella and tomato dish was fantastic as well, kind of like a caprese with pesto subbed in for basil. Delicious. I felt the fresh chicharrones were slightly overcooked. The bartender asked my opinion and took it off the check even though we said not to bother. She was fire, always working and did a great job. We did notice another server floundering and asking for help from the competent bartender. So it's possible other diners were not as pleased as we were. Hopefully they fix their service issues. Possibly food complaints from other reviews means they've had issues with getting reliable workers in the kitchen as well. But after all is said, it was the best meal I've had in the area. We celebrated our 15th anniversary here last night. What a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations so we sat at the bar and had a great time. They were very busy and for a restaurant of that size seemed to have less staff than they may be used to but no one was complaining and we never felt neglected. They worked so well together and even the manager was chipping in. We had the absolute best calamari we've ever had. Cooked perfectly, juicy and with a yummy aoli with a kick. I had the scampi pasta. Again, the best I ever had. Herby, perfect pasta, the sauce was velvety and the prawns were also perfect. I thought there was 4 but after tossing it realized there were many more. 4 would have been plenty because they were huge! My husband had the Ceasar with prawns and devoured the whole thing. The bartender was a sweetheart, a excellent mixologist and just a really nice person all around. What a gem for such a small town with little to no fine dining. Pacific Restaurant was the ideal place for our wedding dinner. They did an excellent job with communicating as we were coming from out of state for our wedding. From fresh local items across the entire menu we were able to select plates that would suite our guests. We were able to have a wonderful 4 course meal seamlessly as an entire party. With our very own specially created menus for our party there was zero menu confusion. Driving down the Oregon coast on a week long driving vacation we arrived at this beautiful restaurant, excited for their lovely menu. Husband & I ordered 2 meals & I asked for hot tea. Inquired about the whereabouts of our meals & my hot tea after 40 mins. Tea was brought over 5 mins later, lukewarm & the teenager waiting on us spilled the cream container all over the table. 5 mins later caught his eye and asked for more hot water & re-inquired about our food. He told us that it would be another 10 minutes as they had to go to the store to buy the seafood for my husband's seafood linguine! NEVER have we done this in our lives, but after the hour+ we found a waiter told them to cancel our order and left. read more

Fantastic find in little Tillamook! We were looking for a nice restaurant to have an enjoyable dinner while on vacation. There were many diners and such, but not much for choices in the more upscale options. We selected this restaurant after being able to see the menu in some pictures. We liked the fact that they used local seafood and produce! Located in the heart of downtown, this adorable restaurant was a fantastic find! We called the day before to arrange reservations just in case they were busy. We arrived and they had misters going by the front door which was nice on a warm day (my toddler loved it!). We walked in and immediately felt like we were in a big city. The decor was upscale and beautiful. We were sat immediately and attended to by a fantastic waiter. Wine selection is adequate for where we were. Dinner was AMAZING! I ordered scallops which were prepared perfectly, buttery and delicious. Another dish ordered was shrimp and chips, which the shrimp were huge and fried properly. Also ordered a salmon entree, which I was told was also delicious. We indulged in desserts, Creme brûlée, brownie ala mode & 4 layer carrot cake. All were decadent and delicious! When we were leaving the waiter said goodbye to my son and even used his name, which showed the care the puts into his job and how observant he was If you are looking for an upscale great experience this is the place to try! read more

Only reason I'm giving 4 is due to the I'm assuming manager that saved our dinner. To start of we were seated fairly promptly but in a corner and told they were cramped for space. Could be true but my wife saw plenty of other open tables we could have been seated at. We looked at the menu and weren't helped for quite a bit of time eventually somebody took our order. I ordered seafood linguini, clam chowder and I pointed to the non fish and chip item on the menu and said"and the halibut" Then we waited... And waited.. Waited some more.. Then waited longer. Just before I was about to flag smbdy a woman with food came and asked if we ordered (rattles of two of the dishes we ordered) and I finished the sentence and halibut. She puts seafood linguini down and fish and chips? Said under her breath.. finally! there was no table #on the ticket. I asked uh is the halibut deep fried she says yes then thinks and says wait did you want the halibut del(smth can't remember the name) but yes not fish and chips. She apologized and asked if our server clarified what we wanted and we said no I asked for halibut and she wrote it down and left. She apologized and went to expedite the correct order. It came fairly quickly and all of our food tasted wonderful. It seemed that only this manager was the only one that cared about customer's as I don't think before she came we had anybody visit us except a guy that would fill our water every now and then.. And he seemed like a higher up staff as well but busy tending to others. The regular wait staff always seemed to.. Not be working very hard. On my trip to the restroom I accidentally knocked my chair over. I think patrons thought I was angry which I wasn't. Anyhow the manager lady comped my beer. Which was nice. For her I gave a 20%tip on the meal. I hope it's not shared cuz the wait staff did absolutey nothing. If not for her actions my rating would be 2 stars. read more

As new residents of Tillamook, we were really excited to try Pacific Restaurant. Our friends recommended the restaurant highly, and we couldn't wait to visit, so we decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with a nice lunch. Reading the Yelp reviews, others seemed to have mixed experiences BUT WE LOVED IT!!! First off, we visited in the mid afternoon between lunch & dinner. Even though it was an off hour, the restaurant was still busy and they did everything they could to get us seated promptly. Everyone was hustling and making sure we were acknowledged while we waited for service. What a nice surprise when the owner, Nelia, even came by to say hello and take our order!!! We started with clam chowder and crab cakes for an appetizer, along with a delicious and generous portion of an oaky chardonnay Nelia recommended. We have sampled clam chowder up and down the West Coast, and this was one of the best!!! VERY rich and creamy, lots of fresh clams, and very satisfying. The crab cakes were presented with a very complex and flavorful relish/chutney of berries, herbs and balsamic vinegar that made each bite a flavor explosion. Of course the crab cake was packed with delicious fresh lump crab with a nice sear all around. Then, for entrees we had their seafood linguine, and my daughter ordered the mac & cheese with kalua pork. The seafood linguine was delicious, with perfectly cooked portions of fresh shrimp, clams, ling cod, salmon, and seared scallops in a very rich wine sauce. Every bite contained a delicious nugget of perfectly cooked seafood. My daughter's mac & cheese was amazing! This was definitely in the "fancy adult" realm of mac & cheese, with rich and cheesy pasta and generous portion of Hawaiian pulled pork...such an awesome combination. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and creme brulee. Both were very good, the creme brulee even came with a few fresh berries and large snicker doodle cookie. The bread pudding had a nice caramel sauce, but a bit "egg-y" on the bottom. Next time I'm looking forward to trying some of their chocolate desserts. During the meal, we did ask for some bread, which was just ok..a little plain. We did see that they have an entire bakery section and folks coming in to pick up goodies...we'll have to ask about that next time. Also, next time we want to come in during their Aloha Fridays, and share some Hawaiian ukulele with the crowd...but that story will be for another day. The Good: - Friendly service - Delicious appetizers and entrees - Generous wine portions - Beautiful open ambiance - The lunch menu prices were very fair for such a high quality meal (all that food for 3 people was under $100) The Bad: Nothing really, we had a great time! Considerations: - Bread - just ok - Portions - perfect for us, especially if you're ordering multiple dishes, but might be considered on the smaller size if you're comparing against some of the massive Italian restaurant portions at chain restaurants. This place is more about quality than quantity, and for us it was just right. (it could also be that we ordered lunch items and not dinner) - We didn't have any problems with service, but we could see they were very busy even with a light crowd...not sure what it would be like when busy. - Parking - we felt lucky when we parked out front, but then realized the street is super busy since it's a main drag....park in back next time. Verdict: My family thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and dining at Pacific Restaurant and plan to return often. Hoping that every visit is as good as our first. A hui hou! Aloha! read more

Was driving up the coast, stopped in Tillamook for dinner. Walked by and saw this beautiful restaurant. Prices looked reasonably sane. Agreed to sit at the bar, as I was told I would have to wait for a table to be cleaned off. Ok fine. Waitress/bartender took forever to get me a drink. No water offered. I ordered a cheeseburger, since as I told her, I was after all in Tillamook, and I needed something with cheese! (My lame attempt at humor, which elicited no expression from her whatsoever). After finishing my drink, I sat there for at least 20 minutes with an empty glass. Finally got her attention and asked for another. She proceeded to pour wines for a couple across from me at the bar, then was talking with coworkers. I was preoccupied on my phone, when I finally looked at the time I couldn't believe how much had gone by! Where was my second drink? How long does it take to cook a cheeseburger? This server was not in the least bit pleasant or welcoming the entire time. I got up, flagged another waiter and told him I was leaving, and would not be paying for that drink. He asked me if I left a tip! I couldn't believe it. I sat back down and waited as he went over to consult with her, then I was given "permission " to leave. Emailed this info to the owners. No response. The staff there (and I assume the owners were among them), all seemed to have a haughty attitude. It's Tillamook, Oregon, not Manhattan! I know that is a snarky thing to say, but seems appropriate. Went around the corner to a very casual restaurant, had a satisfying meal and gave my fantastically friendly and efficient waitress a 50% tip. read more

We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinner at the Pacific Restaurant. They closed the restaurant for our event. House wine, beer, and full bar available for our guests. From the charcuterie board to crab cakes--appetizers were delicious. We had an array of salads, salmon, chicken, mac and cheese, and veggies. For dessert we had cupcakes, creme brûlée, and fruit pies. Owner was easy to work with and present throughout the event. We definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

First off, we were looking for a good seafood restaurant, this isn't it. The service was not good. We had to ask for water and there were only 3 tables. When cleaning after a customer, a table was wiped then an unused plate was put back on the table! They were out of one item we wanted. They messed up one out of two orders. Very meh. It's bright, it looks clean, and the menu posted outside said halibut fish and chips (didn't have halibut) The sirens sang their song and we came in for some dinner. What a mistake. We were seated promptly and then it went to hell. It took 25 minutes for the waiter to come over and then another 20 to get our drinks which weren't what we ordered. The waiter lied about the vodka that they used in the vodka tonic (other waiter acknowledged that they were actually out of Titos) and poured me random Duck Pond pinot because they were out of the wine I ordered. **45 minutes in and we finally have the wrong drinks** All in all we were here for 2 hours and all we ordered were two drinks, clam chowder, a salad, and crab cake app. The chowder was pretty good but the crab cakes were cold and the salad was warm. Who puts salad on a hot plate and then sticks it under the heat lamp? Our waiter spent most of the time we were there hanging out in the kitchen or the little hallway next to it. I finally got up and walked over to him to get the bill, the bill was wrong and then he complained that I would make him give me the right bill before handing over my credit card. If they get a better servers this place has a chance to rebound if not they don't stand a chance. read more

Crab cakes here are in my top 3.....and I'm pretty picky! The clam chowder is definitely the best I've ever had....and it didn't come in a bread bowl. Not sure if it would compliment the chowder or ruin it. Had the crab raviolis tonight, the only complaint I have is the shell pieces I found in multiple bites. 01/10.. I drove around town prior to attending a Bible meeting at the bomber hall. Saw this just as I as driving south on 101. So I'd need some fuel for the road home. I arrived @ 6:15. I HATE the stupid blue/while balls hanging from the ceiling! I had the rib-eye mr........vg. I will be surprised if this is still in business in a year. Tillamook is not a resort destination. The money is in Cannon Beach. Also the fact that there is no signage visible from the road. My server was 'Kate'. Would be much nicer if they had a TV in the bar area. My friends want to know the score.......I will have to go to Rodeo to eat if a game is on.........(I will let you know if they get a TV) read more

Exactly the kind of place Tillamoook needed. Friendly staff, a beautiful atmosphere, delicious Northwest cuisine presented so artistically.... there's also a bakery inside! My favorite dishes are the Miso Yaki, and Furikake Salmon Salad. There's a full bar too, with fresh squeezed citrus for your cocktails and a drink menu that fits the current season. They infuse their own spirits, such as the jalapeño cucumber tequila! This place is a must go. read more

Food was good, but service was slow, not focused. We were not sure to go sit at table or wait to be seated. Once we were seated, we were approached by a server and ordered 20 minutes after arriving. It took over 40 minutes for a sandwich and bowl of soup. Diners that had come in and ordered after we arrived were finished with their meal before we received ours. We gave the server 5 minutes or we were walking. It was obvious our order was forgotten. Food was ok....panini was barely cooked, soup was lukewarm. To have complained would have taken more time than I could afford on my limited lunch hour. I hope things get better.....nice location and intentions are there. The crab cake was great! Everything else was terrible. They have a fried oyster salad; the menu says it comes with spinach, Parmesan, and bacon vinaigrette. I ordered it with no oysters, assuming I would get spinach, Parmesan, and bacon vinaigrette. It showed up with fried oysters, arugula, carrots, radishes, and balsamic vinaigrette. I sent it back and asked if they have spinach. The food runner assured me they do. I asked again for a salad of just spinach, Parmesan, and dressing, just as it says on the menu. It showed up again as an arugula salad as mentioned above, albeit with no fried oysters. I also ordered the short rib entree. They were going for Korean style short ribs, but what I got was a pile grizzle and rubbery meat product. Also, the included vegetables on the side did not match the description, which I was looking forward to. Overall, super disappointing and it took forever. PS: before leaving we decided to check out the desserts in the case before we left. They have a small plastic enclosure with pastries, macaroons, etc. my wife noticed a bug flying around in there. The restaurant itself is very pretty and upbeat the service was great the downfall that I have is if they have a limited menu and the food was OK should be better for the price that your paying and the servings portion are small. I've been in Oregon for the last week and it's been so hard trying to find good food out here. This restaurant has been the best find so far! They are a little understaffed, but the food made up for it. Our waitress Heather was amazing! She was the only one who greeted us when we walked in, but from the moment we stepped in, I watched her ability to hustle and stay calm despite how busy they were. She helped out everywhere she could, while others seemed only focused on their assigned tables. Her kindness was genuine and I appreciated her excellent customer service. I highly recommend the pappardelle and the ribeye! The noodles were so fresh and the steak was cooked perfectly. I wish we had room for dessert, but we'll have to try again next time! read more

I had the crispy calamari and the korean style beef short ribs. The calamari was good but the beef short ribs was okay. Some short ribs, you're able to eat it clean off the bone, but my short ribs did not. I had to grind my teeth into it. I wish it came with a side of mac salad or rice at least. The bar was great! The service here was not too bad. I've seen worse. I'm very patient. I would give their customer service 3/5. I felt like other customers had better service than I did, but I'm guessing the other customers were local regulars. My experience here was okay. read more

My family had lunch here today. Service was great, drinks were great....food was meh. The bread was old, stale. The calamari wasn't that great, no flavor and very small serving size. I liked the sauce though. I would not recommend the fish tacos or burger. The fish was dry and over fried. The slaw was excessive and overpowering. The burger was dry and flavorless. Holy mackerel this was a disaster. First off, I made a reservation and the made it for the next day. No biggie, they were able to seat us. We both had the French onion soup. It was burnt on top. Charcoal is not the flavour profile I was looking for. Our cocktails came and they were fine. We ordered or meals, and that's where it all went down hill. After 45 minutes the waitress asked if we wanted our check, and I said I'd like my meal first. She apologised, and said it would be "just a few more minutes". After an hour we left, without a meal. Pretty sad for a new restaurant in this small town. Maybe they shouldn't have opened if they weren't ready. They seemed short staffed and trying too hard to be "fancy" How about you serve oil and vinegar in a very shallow dish so you can taste the vinegar and not just the oil. HOOFA... This was a very surprising spur of the moment choice for dinner. We were greeted with a very pleasant host who directed us to a table that was perfect for our group of seven with three toddlers. Our waitress was new but extremely courteous and eager to assist us to the best of her ability. If there was something that she was not knowledgeable of she would go and become so right away. They have a good selection of cocktails but are a bit limited on their beer selection so far. Describing the food is a difficult task. The best I can say is that it's fantastic. And I want to say that for everyone's dish. I walked in because they have a Rueben sandwich on their menu, completely neglecting the fact that it's on their lunch menu and we had entered the restaurant fifteen minutes into the dinner rush. That's all beside the point. The point is however, get in there and the food. Great portions and fresh ingredients. P.S. Get the clam chowder. HORRIBLE AND A RIPOFF! I ordered a medium rare steak with no salt on it. It was done right but so salty I couldn't eat it and sent it back. Came back 25 minutes later when every else at the table was finished eating well done and still salty. Sent it back again and told them to forget it. My brother in law paid $30.00 for 3 overcooked scallops on very small bed of mystery greens. My sister in law was treated to rubber halibut for another ridiculous amount of money. Jim's salmon was ok but for over $30.00 one would expect something a little bigger than a deck of cards. FIND ANOTHER RESTAURANT. read more
