I needed a washer and dryer to fit in a really compact space so I did my research and found that one of the few models that would fit was being showcased at Pacific Sales. I was helped by Michael who directed me to the exact model I already had in mind. We talked about how my wall receptacle didn't match the cord that came standard with the dryer. Michael told that I could easily replace the dryer cord and I'd have no issues. He also made a comment about how women usually don't know any of this stuff and that I must be an engineer. At the time, I was flattered that he found me to be a capable woman and thought nothing of it. Flash forward to three weeks later when I'm FINALLY getting the washer and dryer delivered, the delivery guys say they will not install it for me and that swapping out the dryer cord will void my warranty. I called Pacific Sales to figure out what my options were. I was informed by Michael that the delivery guys were wrong and that I would need to pay for someone to replace the cord out of my own pocket. I said I could do it myself and was told that "sometimes women have a handy husband who can do it for them, but you really shouldn't do it yourself." In the end when I finally threatened to cancel my entire order, he passed the phone to a female associate who offered to take care of the installation for me. The store itself is nice and the delivery guys were nice and efficient, but I don't appreciate the condescending attitude towards customers who are paying a small fortune for appliances. read more

I have never experienced this kind of horrible service as I have here. I ordered a LOT of appliances: a washer, dryer AND a dishwasher from Pacific Sales. But they have to realize that the experience doesn't end once we buy. That appliance actually has to be delivered, installed and the one hauled away and it doesn't seem like they care at all. Nothing about the installation process has worked and several weeks later I STILL have a dishwasher that was delivered and dumped in the middle of my living room still sitting there. Install guy was supposed to come at a certain time (they tried a few days ago and it was wrong so I rescheduled for today and wrong again! They sent the haul away guy and not the install guy!) I am extremely disappointed in Pacific Sales. Just got off the phone regarding a range hood I purchased from them three years ago. I stated the warranty has expired but needed to find a repairman to service the Zephyer Anzio Wall hood as the blower and lights were no longer working. They said they couldn't repair it (despite me knowing I would have to pay for the repair because of the expired warranty) but here's the kicker they would also not recommend someone to repair it. So customer service ends when the warranty ends. It is apparent that they do not care about the repair of the products they sell after the warranty expires. Everyone keep that in mind when purchasing something from pacific sales. Customer Service and a commitment to continue to making a customer that might come back to buy something in the future happy is not part of their business plan. So disappointed. I went into the Pacific Sales in Pasadena looking for a shower drain cover and the "rough" materials that were needed below the drain. I had no idea what I was looking for. Diarra helped me to select what I needed and explained how to choose the most durable parts. She arranged to have them sent to the showroom that was closer to my home and followed up several times to make sure that I had received them. Even when I had to return the items because I measured incorrectly, she was kind and understanding. I've been to this location three times and we were not approached once to be asked for help. We actually asked for help and put our names in but no one beckoned for us. They are now closed on Sundays and Mondays. If you're looking to check out products, this is the place. My husband and I walked in to Pacific Sales on Lake on a Friday night, (not realizing they closed in less than one hour). Jesse was happy to help us order a replacement refrigerator, and matching range, microwave, and dishwasher. The refrigerator was delivered and installed within 5 days by Arturo & Ivan at Acosta Transport. We just moved in to a split level condo, with three sets of stairs to the kitchen, boxes still unpacked in kitchen, and they didn't miss a beat, nor did they complain one bit; even after the handle fell of the cold water valve under the sink when they were hooking up ice maker. All around great experience so far. Our other three appliances are on back order, and I am confident that delivery go well also. We also had exceptional help from office staff (I'm afraid I forgot her name ) to create two separate orders, so that we could have our refrigerator ASAP and wait the two weeks that the other appliances are expected back in stock read more

Hey guys just wanna give a shout out to Pacific Sales. I was there on Thursday looking for a kitchen. Emanuel came right up to me and asked if I needed help, and proceeded to take care of me from A to Z. I do not mean he hustled me into making a costly purchase; to the contrary, he actually took time to ask questions and figure out what I was looking for and helped me find SEVERAL ways to save where I might be able to. There was not a single question I had about any appliance or any brand that he could not answer. For example, when I asked whether there was a Bosch built-in refrigerator I might be able to compare to the one he was showing me, he immediately explained yes, but not in 42". Bosch only makes built-ins in 36" or larger than 42". He was a complete honor to work with and I left feeling that not only could I have not found a better deal anywhere else on price; but I also would be hard pressed to come away with a higher quality of kitchen. Not to mention he semi-revived my hope that customer service may still exist. The customer service Emanuel showed me was so excellent that I could not stop thinking about it since and was literally left with no choice but to write this review :D Thank you Pacific Sales. Went to Pacific Sales to buy a microwave oven. The sales staff would not come out to talk with us. My husband had to go to the desk until a staff member took the time to acknowledge him. He asked about the microwave oven and staff said just pick it up and take it to the counter. You would think he would have retrieved a cart so he could cart away it to pay. Luckily he wasn't a senior citizen who would not have been unable to carry the big box. I don't think customer service is a priority here. read more

There were a few hiccups, but I am generally happy with the service here; Avril Martin and Laura Gerber (in plumbing) and Chris Dickinson (in appliances) were all very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Terrible! Add me to the list of unhappy customers of PS! Never had service this poor in my life! Saturday started fine enough, delivery man calls me tells me he's on the way. Gets to my place at 1:00 p.m. and tells me I need a 5/8" gas shut off valve installed before they can put in my stove/range. Immediately I call a plumber (as he suggested) who says he can come in an hour. I run out to tell the delivery guy this and ask if they can come back in an hour. He says no and I'll have to reschedule. Plumber shows up at 2:15 and I call PS to make sure I get the right part. Speak to Jean (who sold me the range), who passes me off to Mike, who tells the plumber all I need is a half inch gas line installed (which I'd already paid $29.99 for as part of their "installation kit."), not a shut off valve. So the plumber installs the line as instructed because he didn't want to waste a trip and charges me $50.00 since it's a weekend. Mike tells me there are no more "emergency" deliverymen available to come back because he tried 3 hours ago and none were free. 3 hours ago?! I tell him why don't you check now and get back to me because I do not want to wait until WEDNESDAY. He never calls me back, so I call Jean who tells me she'll check and call me back. She calls back at 6 p.m. to tell me Mike (I guess he was afraid to call me himself since I was so irate.) did try, but Wednesday is still the earliest delivery date. Wonderful... So, let's recap... 1) Wasted a Saturday waiting for delivery. And now I have to take time off from work on Wednesday so they can do the job. 2) Paid $50 for a gas line that I'd already paid $30 for, so I'm out an extra $20. 3) Neither Mike, Jean nor Pacific Sales offered any compensation for my time or money spent. 4) Only dealing with them because my wife really liked the stove/range. After Wednesday never again! 5) If they send the same delivery guy on Wednesday I will be sure the tear him a new one! Oh, yeah, I'm in a townhouse of 7 units so I called my neighbor who had a stove put in from PS a few months ago. He tells me he did not need to replace his shut off valve and everything went fine. I guess he was one of the lucky ones, because I sure wasn't. Follow up: Delivery man shows up at 7:40 a.m. (so I leave work to meet him) and tells me why I need a 5/8" shut off valve put in, it's because my stove has a 5/8" connection. I tell him that Mike at the office said a half inch would be fine and Jean said to call her if there are any problems. One big problem, store isn't open until 10 a.m.! Delivery man tells me half inch will work (just not as strong a flame obviously), but he can't/won't install it. I ask if he can at least help me so I can do the install. I get behind the stove to make the connections and ask if he can push it closer so I can connect the line. He pushes it toward me, pesters me to sign some papers and leaves. In the meantime I am still wedged behind the stove and have to move it out myself to get out! Oh, and he leaves my front door and front gate open all the time I'm stuck behind the stove. (Glad I put my dog was outside and my 2-year old wasn't running around.) Great customer service, huh? To add insult to injury, I get a call at work asking to do a survey about the install. I start to tell the lady about what happened, but she keeps cutting me off and puts me on hold! Incredible! I did call back later and left a message saying if they wanted to continue the survey. Never heard back. Guess they don't want to know how they can improve. NOTE: I forwarded my concerns to their corporate and they extended my warranty and the Pasadena manager did include a 5/8" line for free yesterday for all my trouble, so they did try to make things right. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the half inch line is working just fine for us. read more

Went to PS with my 18 month old to get several appliances for a kitchen remodel. Was hoping I'd get good service as I had always seen it busy and a lot of people being helped when I've walked by. What a mistake! I walked the entire store looking at each of the displays and ALL the products. Not a single salesperson asked if I needed any help. That's fine, I'll browse & make notes. When I asked to speak to someone to answer a few questions I was told that they were very busy and to put my name on the list. Ok. Did that. Still no one came to help after 30 more minutes. I saw a lot of employees talking to each other just ignoring customers. When I finally did get someone to help me he didn't really answer any of my questions and didn't seem very knowledgeable. By then my son had started to lose interest and became cranky. The salesperson asked if some popcorn would help. I said sure, but was getting VERY irritated by this time. He went to the back and I waited for 20 more minutes wondering where he was. Finally I went back there to check. He was back there helping 2 female customers! That was the breaking point. Anyone with a child knows you only get a certain window before a toddler loses it completely. There were other employees that could have helped these customers but I was just left waiting. Needless to say I just left. If they treat their customers like that before a purchase is even made how are the going to be after they get your money? Although I love Pacific Sales and their attention to detail and customer service I would caution anyone from buying an extended warranty for your high end appliances or TVs from these folks. They do business with Warrantech. This is a financial services that counts among its products, extended warranties for a number of products including: * Consumer Electronics * Computers, Peripherals and Accessories * Power Tools * Lawn and Garden Equipment * Fitness Equipment * Jewelry * Appliances * Home Office Equipment * Furniture * Optics and Eyewear * Telecommunications The company Based in Bedford Texas and offers warranty products and administrative services for manufacturers, retailers, dealers and distributors seeking to increase profitability, enhance market differentiation and long-term customer loyalty. In California they do work on behalf of Pacific Sales, a leading retailer of high end appliances and TVs. Based on two experiences with them I would strongly urge you not to buy the extended warranty if offered to you by Pacific Sales. They contract with A&E Factory Services, one of the lousiest repair companies I have ever been forced to deal with. They will cancel appointments without telling you on you on the day they are supposed to show up despite taking time off from work and losing money and/or will order the wrong parts for you thereby causing you to have to take more time of from work just to accommodate their mistakes. When prompted to answer why they canceled they'll just tell you that no one bothered to schedule a repairman to go to your house and that was just too bad. They'll even reschedule you without confirming with you or checking to see if there is an on an appropriate date when you are available. REALLY! Finally when demanding a tech show up immediately or the next day to make up for their mistake and your loss of financial income they'll tell you it's just too bad and you'll have to choke on whatever day they give you. There is no attempt to try to make it up to you or accommodate you at a time that is convenient for you. I would caution anyone who is thinking about buying an extended warranty from Warrantech from Pacific Sales to rethink and go elsewhere where they really care about customer service and don't treat you like this you don't matter. I would highly recommend that Pacific Sales dump Warrantech and do business with a company that cares about Pacific Sales' customers. It's your reputation on the line Pacific Sales. I started shopping here about 2 years ago when we started our home remodel. Of course it went from a small project and grew into re-doing the whole house. We feel very fortunate that we met some really great people at this location! I've been to other locations years ago and found the sales people to be unhelpful, almost snobby. But the sales people at this Pasadena location have been very helpful and respectful. Everyone from the manager Mike with the kitchen appliances, to Rose and Damien in the bathroom department, to John in the Audio-Video department, they have all been excellent. What businesses need to understand is that with the right people, they will keep their customers coming back, and the Pasadena Pacific Sales has it right. It's always been a great experience when we go back in there for the next item we needed in the remodel. Pacific Sales was the perfect place for us during the remodel, because it was our one-stop shop. We purchased all new Viking appliances for the new kitchen, all the various master and guest bath hardware, sinks, toilets, steam shower, etc. and the latest were the new 3D LED TVs, in-wall speakers, amplifiers, sound processors, etc. For one of the items I thought I would just buy a cheaper one at the local Home Depot, but found that Pacific Sales was actually cheaper, and they were able to get the special order item much faster than Home Depot. This location in Pasadena has a very large selection in all their departments. This again is in contrast to other locations that were limited in their selection to see. They also gave us the best prices that couldn't be beat. It's ideal to go in and explore all the items you will need, and have them give you a quote on everything. If you have several items and they know you will be purchasing a lot from them, they will try to find a way to give you an additional discount if possible! Also, they often have great "floor model" items that are still new, but you can buy it for a significant discount. read more

Back in '19 Chris helped us choose a dishwasher, range, oven, microwave and we fell in love with the guy. He's honest, no pressure (though he talks really fast) and really, really knowledgeable. So when we needed a new fridge, we knew right where to go. Chris is always there, he's always working, on the phone or with customers, he's worth waiting for. Tall, thin, good looking guy, just so you'll know. Listening to our needs, he directed us to large capacity, side by side Whirlpool fridge. The fridge was delivered and it was malfunctioning. Best Buy replaced it immediately with another one that didn't work right. At that point, i went back to Chris and asked him if i should change brands. He really explained why i should stick with Whirlpool. And he got on the phone with the Geek Squad to make sure that the team they sent out with the 3rd one was really experienced with installing Whirlpools, just in case the first two problems had been installation. The team that came out saw that the fridge was damaged as soon as they opened the box, so they took that one back too. I went to Chris to make sure the 4th one was going to be brought out by the same team as that last one. He said that might not be possible, but he sure did plead my case over the phone and the same team came out and the 4th one was the charm. I went back to Pacific Sales this morning, and when he saw me coming in, i heard him say to one of his partners, "Here comes Carl." But i had only come to thank him. He asked me to write this review. I never write reviews. But Chris deserves all the praise he can get. And kudos to Best Buy, as well, for not flinching in trying to get it right. read more

I have never experienced such horrible customer service from a retail company. Pacific Sales can do nothing right. I recently ordered a new refrigerator to replace the last one I purchased there four years ago. Luckily, I had horrendous service when I bought a refrigerator there. At that time, they had ordered the wrong color and tried to blame it on me. When the salesman realized the mistake he made, there was no forthcoming apology. I complained to management and received a complimentary insurance policy. Thank God. After numerous service calls, I was supposedly getting a replacement today due to a malfunctioning ice maker. Installation was a complete mess. The installer had me running in circles from start to finish. I was supposed to get an hour warning before their arrival to empty the fridge. I had a ten minute warning. The installer was in a tremendous rush and moved the refrigerator out before I finished emptying it. He then asked me to verify something with the salesman. While I was on hold for a very long time with the store, he discovered a problem with the previous installation (which Pacific Sales had done) and said that they couldn't complete the new installation due to copper tubing. Apparently the salesman should have said something about the plumbing, but had not. After much discussion they were going to leave the new fridge behind, which was fine, but then he tells me he would take away the working fridge. That's when I lost it. Why would he even suggest that he'd take away a working fridge without installing the new one? Did he expect me to throw out all of my food? No judgment whatsoever. He was also in a complete and total rush, having me run around in circles doing this and that, and basically blaming me for using too much of his time. We could have rectified everything before they left, but he called his scheduler and said that he had already spent too long on the job and I had to reschedule the installation. I was left with putting everything back in my current fridge and with a very bad feeling, once again, about the horrible organization called Pacific Sales. After waiting since December for my new microwave microwave trim kit, I get a call the day BEFORE the kit was to be delivered (mind you this is April 12 now) that the trim kit has been DISCONTINUED and would I like to come in and order a different trim kit. Not just me but before my own resent horrible experience I sent friends who had just purchased a new home. They walked out of the store because of the poor service.
