Back in '19 Chris helped us choose a dishwasher, range, oven, microwave and we fell in love with the guy. He's honest, no pressure (though he talks really fast) and really, really knowledgeable. So when we needed a new fridge, we knew right where to go. Chris is always there, he's always working, on the phone or with customers, he's worth waiting for. Tall, thin, good looking guy, just so you'll know. Listening to our needs, he directed us to large capacity, side by side Whirlpool fridge. The fridge was delivered and it was malfunctioning. Best Buy replaced it immediately with another one that didn't work right. At that point, i went back to Chris and asked him if i should change brands. He really explained why i should stick with Whirlpool. And he got on the phone with the Geek Squad to make sure that the team they sent out with the 3rd one was really experienced with installing Whirlpools, just in case the first two problems had been installation. The team that came out saw that the fridge was damaged as soon as they opened the box, so they took that one back too. I went to Chris to make sure the 4th one was going to be brought out by the same team as that last one. He said that might not be possible, but he sure did plead my case over the phone and the same team came out and the 4th one was the charm. I went back to Pacific Sales this morning, and when he saw me coming in, i heard him say to one of his partners, "Here comes Carl." But i had only come to thank him. He asked me to write this review. I never write reviews. But Chris deserves all the praise he can get. And kudos to Best Buy, as well, for not flinching in trying to get it right. read more

I was looking for a pair of PSB speakers from an authorized dealer and the closest to me was Pacific Sales. I went in and met with John who heads their Home Theater department and auditioned a bunch of speakers for over a hour. I went home, did some research on the ones I wanted and saw them for about $300 less for the pair. I went back in today, showed it to John and he hooked it up at the same price! Normally PSb's NEVER get discounted. You can check crutchfield and the pacific sales price are exactly the same. So I was surprised when they matched the dealer. It was an awesome experience, super quick from start to finish for the purchase. If you're looking for speakers, definitely go hit up John there. He got me my PSB T6's for almost the same price as people are asking for refurbished ones!!! read more

Microwave saga continues. After waiting since December for my new microwave microwave trim kit, I get a call the day BEFORE the kit was to be delivered (mind you this is April 12 now) that the trim kit has been DISCONTINUED and would I like to come in and order a different trim kit. Not just me but before my own resent horrible experience I sent friends who had just purchased a new home. They walked out of the store because of the poor service. If you want a high end appliance store that does not keep you informed of your delivery status this is the store for you. On February 19th I purchased a Thermador Masterpiece gas cooktop with a delivery date on my receipt of April 5th. That was a great date because we were doing other remodeling work that needed to be completed before we start work on the kitchen. I called Pacific Sales in late March to confirm my April 5th delivery and I was told the unit is scheduled to deliver on June 3rd. If I had not called them they have no interest in calling the customer stating that your order is not arriving on the date on your receipt. I was told it could arrive by Mid May. As we got closer to Mid May the date was pushed out to June 3rd. This delay is costing me money because my contractor had to increase my remodel quote higher because of the increase in materials and his schedule is getting tight because he has other projects he is working on. I called Pirch in Glendale on Sunday, May 16th at 4:30 pm and they had the cooktop in stock and I was told they could deliver it on Tuesday, May 18th. I got the ok to pick-up the cooktop on Monday, May 17th at their warehouse. I had the cooktop in my car at 11:30 am. It took Pirch 19 hours to have the cooktop in my hands and it has taken Pacific Sales two months with nothing to show except for my aggravation. If you want bad customer service this is the store for you. I wish I would have contacted Pirch-Glendale in February for my appliance needs. read more

5 stars for Laura Gerber in the plumbing department specifically; we were so lucky to meet her in store as we began to plan changes to our new home. We wanted the shower head to be higher and we were considering replacing the toilet. And we wanted to replace the tub spout. We came into Pacific Sales by chance after getting coffee on Lake, and after meeting Laura, we knew we could solve our problems that day. She was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately put us at ease. She showed us multiple options in store and pulled up other options on her computer; it was easy to decide with her help and her patience. When I found I needed something changed after, and in response to other questions I had later on, she was very responsive by email. On the day of the toilet was delivered, she even called me to make sure everything went smoothly! We are now enjoying a toilet that is strangely beautiful and a very nice shower. We are doing a big renovation/add-on: A new kitchen, a new master bedroom/bathroom, etc. We've gone to many different stores, but the Pacific Sales in Pasadena is the one we've come to buy from repeatedly for our project. Our experience has been with both the appliance team and the plumbing team. I'm giving 5-stars because the service we received was awesome! Initially, I did not plan on buying from Pacific Sales. I thought I'd come check out the appliances and then look elsewhere for better deals, etc. However, after all our research and shopping around, Pacific Sales in Pasadena was the best option. To begin, Franz in the bathroom department was SUPER! My wife and I didn't know how to decide on bathroom fixtures, bath tub, shower hardware, etc. We were frazzled just by the choices and the number of different brands and models. But, Franz explained the differences in the name brands and helped us make the right decisions. He really seemed like he was looking out after our interest, rather than trying to sell us higher priced items, etc. In addition, he always followed through on his word to email us updates, etc. Because of Franz, my wife and I have settled on and have purchased all of our new bathroom needs, including bath tub, all the faucets and hardware. In the appliance department, we met some good staff. In particular, Emanuel (Manny), the store manager, has been great, along with Nancy (the behind the desk person), Sevak, and Eric. We had to call-in many times to reschedule delivery, pickup items, add items, etc., and they were all very professional and courtesy to help us with our needs. One one occasion, they stayed late, after closing time, to help us get our order resolved. I'd highly recommend this place over other appliance stores because we received the best service and best advise here. read more

I must say this was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had buying appliances. Ricardo the salesperson who helped me was incredible he was knowledgeable and extremely patient. The showroom was nice and it looks like they will adding more showpieces. I was in and out in 45 minutes with my new dishwasher and the customer service people were friendly and courteous, the guy (I think his name was Robby, I'm not sure... sorry) who checked me out was great! He explained the installation process and time frame which usually ends up being all day and kind of a pain but he made sound simple and efficient. We chose Pacific Sales because our contractor recommended it, and we worked with their sales associate Gale, who was a great assistance and advocate for getting the pieces we were looking for and helping us create the look we envisioned. Gale was amazing with detail, updates on orders and returns, and made the experience/process easier. Some of the items took longer to arrive and came damaged- due to the manufactures, not Pacific Sales. (This delayed our completion and we suggest that you account for shipping time and/or manufacturing damage to your projects.) Over $300 for a refrigerator delivery fee! We thought this was outrageous, but as explained to us by the sales rep., the Pacific Sales delivery service does not take off the refrigerator doors when the home doorways are not wide enough. However, they do contract with a private delivery company that would charge extra for the dismantling of the refrigerator doors to go through our 1926 doorways. A delivery cost of $300 for an $1800 appliance or a 17% increase to the price is shocking. What were we to do? Though we never have bought appliances at The Home Depot, we found out that their delivery contractor would dismantle and reassemble the refrigerator doors to fit through our 90 year old house's doorways at no cost. The delivery men were quick and efficient in getting the refrigerator doors dismantled, setting the doorless appliance, and reassembling the doors. And at no extra charge! We were so please we gave the two delivery guys a big tip. We recommend The Home Depot. Thank goodness for good old American competition. read more

I recently purchased the full suite of kitchen appliances for a remodel project, and have also purchased a washer / dryer from PS Lake. The truly exceptional customer service and responsiveness I experienced with Michael, Nancy and Emanuel are the basis for this review. My sales consultant Michael Meyer is a real pro with years of appliance experience and in depth product knowledge coupled with refreshing honesty and a sincere passion for his customers' best interests. He will tell you what you need to know and not what the typical sales person tells you to make the sale. His interest in you doesn't stop with the sale. In the course of my kitchen remodel project, he proactively took the lead on supporting me through my numerous project delays, changing product needs and even getting a replacement when my new built in refrigerator turned out to be defective after installation. Throughout the delivery and installation process, Michael called and texted me numerous times to check in and make sure all was well - even on his day off! My customer service rep Nancy was a pleasure to work with and is proactively responsive. She always took care of issues before they became a problem for the customer. She is knows all the navigation details of PS / Best Buy system, warehouse stock, truck deliveries, and coordinating installation crews. She cheerfully supported me through my product decision changes, remodel / delivery delays and proactively coordinated a product replacement when my new refrigerator turned out to be defective. Unlike my experience with other vendors, I could count on Nancy to take care of the details without the usual need for follow up. A customer oriented culture and investment in customer satisfaction starts with leadership and this was evident in my experience with the store manager, Emanuel who was readily accessible and hands on when needed. He initially worked out a great deal on my purchase and proactively authorized replacing my new built in refrigerator which stopped working shortly after installation. It would have been a lot easier and less expensive for PS to step back and let me go through who knows how many warranty service calls to fix the refrigerator before making the replacement decision. The true test of any vendor isn't when everything goes right, but how they support the customer when things don't go as planned. In my experience, you can trust Pacific Sales on Lake to have your back. We should've read these reviews before heading over to buy all our new major kitchen appliances. There was a Thermador promotion going on where we can buy a fridge and a cooktop, and get a dishwasher and a ventilator hood for free. This promotion was perfect for us since we needed all those appliances for remodeling our kitchen. 2 major things that happened that made me dislike this place. 1. We needed everything to arrive on 3/24, but the hood was problematic since they were not in stock. They assured us that everything else will arrive on the 24th but they will call us in the next few days to update us on the hood. They call us a few days later, we choose a different size so that it will come on the 24th. Service was good until this point. THE DAY OF DELIVERY: everything came but the hood. Delivery guy calls HQ and they say it's scheduled to arrive on the 29th. No one notified me. I say okay, and accept the delivery. ON THE 29TH: I have a feeling the hood will not come, I call PS and they say that it's already been delivered. I tell them it's not and I need it by the next day. They say they'll call me back after they figure things out, they don't. I call them again and they say they're working on it and will call me back. They don't. I call them again after 4 hours or so when I get an email that says it will arrive on April 1 when I already told them I need it by the next day. I'm super pissed at this point since we needed everything on the 24th, which we clearly emphasized, and amended construction plans for the hood to come on the 29th so that we can finalize construction and make sure everything fits. Not to mention their lack of "calling me back." Decided to go with a different hood from another provider and I rejected their offer of free installation. Since it's free I can't even get the satisfaction of returning the product. They pay me $150 as an inconvenience fee. 2. We ended up having to take up on their offer of "free installation for refrigerator purchases" and I call them. They say they don't do Thermador fridge installation. They have never told me at the day of purchase that "they do refrigerator installations for free... except the one we're selling you right now." Granted, we said we'll try asking our contractor to install it, but shouldn't they have disclosed from the beginning that we would have to install the fridge ourselves anyways? And the fact that they don't install Thermador fridges for free when they have been ADVERTISING to us that they install fridges for free? I think it's pretty relevant information as we were buying the brand that was the exception. They told us they have phone numbers for installation services, one of which I called that charges $250 for installation and the nearest available date was in a week and a half. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. The frustrations and annoyances I've experienced are enough for me to never trust them again, let alone let anyone I know bring their business here. read more

I dont ever take the time to write reviews unless something is terribly wrong and worthy of a negative review. I am happy to say that this my first positive review of an establishment. My Wife and I recently purchased a home in the area of which was in need of some upgrades. Given that I am the cook in my family spending nearly 70% of my time in the kitchen when home, I only wanted the best (Wolf / Subzero). Did the research of all the various dealers of the brands within my area and visited them all; Snyder diamond being the least helpful and snoodiest. Maybe I appear a bit young and they didnt take me serious but their $70k loss (we decided to buy our bathroom fixtures as well with PacSales). Erick Romero; thats all I got to say. The guy went above and beyond making sure that we were taken care of each step of the way. He knew his stuff down to complete part numbers after only giving him the first three digits as well as all of the specs lol some things that not any of the sales reps at the Subzero / Wolf showroom cared to mention. I do a lot of work in the Pasadena area for home and commercial remodels and have placed orders here for my clients' appliances, but after my last experience I will be taking my business elsewhere. How are you not able to tell me when a product that has been paid for will arrive?! I was waiting for over a month for an item with no follow up from anyone. I was told to call every Friday to see if it arrived. That's only one incident from one of my clients. Home Depot offers better service than this store. I have had them install a washer and dryer started out in January 1 and this is now February 1 they come out three times and each time they came out with a different problem! Vent for the dryer is in the cabinet should be changed a pan for downstairs should be installed and third but not least the damage to the drawers in the washer and dryer I have asked these questions before I ordered the washer and dryer. And the sales person said no problem everything is OK! Installers will not install something from upstairs without a pan and the drain this is called lack of communication between the sales person installer! I went in specifically looking for a stackable washer dryer pair, but generally to start getting some ideas for a whole kitchen/bath remodel. I was disappointed that there was only one option for my laundry room; and that all of the appliances were displayed in the stainless steel finish (I'm not a fan of the industrial look and felt the displays were redundant and boring) I was most struck that there wasn't a single female sales person on the floor (I counted 8 men) Certainly women use appliances as much, and perhaps more than men? I left, feeling that Pacific Sales likely wasn't a good place for me to find the help I needed to put together a new kitchen. Hire some women. read more

pacific sales is a great place for appliances. we went all over the place to find a oven that fit our kitchen last year since the 1960s one was taken out. found what we wanted and ordered it. delivery was great!! they came when they said they would...and at the BEGINNING of the time frame specified, not the end. i hate it when delivery gives you several hours to be home and come at the last half hour. sometimes there are coupons in the mail for discounts on appliances too. just got a coupon...so going back again... yay!! =) read more

I did want to write a review for them. I just moved to Pasadena and in need of fridge and walked in on a Saturday and kindly was greeted by the sales staff at Pacific Sales. I was on a budget since i just bought a condo in Pasadena so was looking for a fridge that was inexpensive and they were able to sell me a floor model that was in pristine condition. The only item that was broken was the butter box on the inside which I can live with. I asked for an early delivery (8 am - 9 am) on Wednesday since i already had the day off and was heading to Disneyland for my daughters birthday. However i got a call the day before that the delivery would be around 4-5 so i cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday delivery no problem. Fast forward to Saturday i got the call from the delivery company that they were coming in an hour ok no problem. So when they arrive they open the fridge prior to bringing it in the house so the owner can inspect the fridge. I don't know what happened but there was 5 dents the size of my head on the fridge. So i did not accept the delivery. Granted Pacific Sales closes on Sunday and Monday so i had to wait until Tuesday to make the call and see what Pacific Sales can do for me. Spoke with the manager Emanuel told him what happened and he said he was going to walk around and see if there was something equivalent that was a floor model that he can sell to me. He noted he was going to call me back in an hour. Granted that i called them exactly when they opened at 10 am. 12:30 rolls around i don't hear from him so i decide to give him a call back. He did apologize and said he didn't have a chance since they closed Sunday and Monday that there was a slew of customers that came in. Ok acceptable. He said he would walk around the store and send me pictures of fridges since it was hard for me to come over to Pacific Sales since i work in Pasadena and they close at 6 pm which is the time I get off. Anyways 3:30 rolls around no call from Emanuel so i call the store they told me he went to lunch. I"m like ok but Emmanuel was the one who stated he would call back in an hr. I never asked for him to call me an hour he was the one. At this point i was already annoyed as i was the customer who had to keep calling back and following up. So finally he sends the pictures and I just was not happy with the fridge as there was a dent on the bottom as the prior fridge had no dents. So I decide ok it's best to go to the store and take a look which i advised Emanuel that. So the next day I have an hour lunch which I rush over to Pasadena to take a look at fridges (floor models) since I am on a budget. Nothing so I find a new fridge and google the shit out of the pricing and Pacific Sales matched what a competitor was doing and also gave me $100 off for just the bad luck I was having and pain and suffering. Ok great! So delivery is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) which I am ok with and they call an hour so i can rush home from work. Come home and they inspect the fridge outside my home before carrying it in. Looks great. They bring it in to set up and when the put the water line in the fridge it was not working. The set up guy advise it was a DEFECTIVE fridge. Nothing on Pacific Sales part that the fridge was defective. I call Pacific Sales back and now was just annoyed and I get it that it was nothing on Pacific Sales part that the fridge is defective. Anyways call them back and told them I'm just not happy with my overall experience (delivery of a dented fridge and also a delivery a defective fridge). She advised the earliest they can get me a fridge would be Saturday which now puts me out of a fridge for a week. So now I'm just annoyed and speak with one of the sales rep and advised how dumb this is but she worked with me and was able to get me a fridge delivered for Friday. Finally after 3 delivery attempts we finally got a fridge into my condo. read more

I am currently remodeling my house and I am in need of new kitchen appliances. I was referred to Pacific Sales by my good friend who claimed that Mike F. offers the best prices in town. Yes, prices are indeed the best, but they are terrible at returning phone calls. After several calls and messages, I finally got a call back from Mike. He sounded friendly and took down my contact information. He also promised to put together an awesome package and will email me the info no later than the next day. I waited through the weekend and did not receive anything. I called him back on Tuesday and with another two more messages, I finally got through him. He said he had asked someone else to email me and will look into it and call me back in an hour. It's been one week and I still have not heard back from him. I am definitely not buying anything from them even if they offer the lowest prices. If they can't even get the initial sale going, how awful will they be after the purchase is done? Being owned by Best Buy is not a good thing. Having spent $10,329.84 on appliances, sinks, faucets and a flat panel TV in the last six months, when the TV burned out I called about exercising my warranty and was summarily given the Geek Squad phone number to call. The Geek Squad cancelled the first appointment because someone called in sick so I had to buy a replacement since the TV was in a rental unit 2 hours from home. I was then told by the Geek Squad to take the TV back to a Best Buy for a refund. Went to Best Buy and was referred back to Pacific Sales since their "systems" don't talk to each other. Went to Pacific Sales and returned the TV but they couldn't do anything for me until the Geek Squad updated their information. Waited a week, called the store and left a message. No return call. Called the Geek Squad who said all was fine and to go to Best Buy for a refund. I confirmed twice that they meant Best Buy and not Pacific Sales. They said yes. Went to Best Buy and was told to go to Pacific Sales because they couldn't do it for me there. I'm going to wait now. No more trips until someone who knows what they are doing sends me my money. Never again Pacific Sales or Best Buy. Too many other choices. This is ridiculous. read more
