This is the closest pizza place that delivers to our house, which to be fair, is a bit of a ways in the woods. But we are on navigation systems. When we order we always get a 60 minute timeframe... always. Ok, I order earlier than usual... except Padrino's is always late. Very late and the pizza is always cold. We keep giving them chances, but at this point we're better off making our own, and it's cheaper. I do NOT recommend this place. The food is ok. Nothing special. We stopped off in Stafford for an overnight stay on our way home . My kids were begging for pizza. Coming from Jersey I was extremely skeptical. We took the plunge and ordered from here and let me just say, it's not New Jersey/New York best but for the area this did the job! My kids are pizza snobs lol and they had no complaints ! We also ordered a cheesesteak with some fries made it an "Italian cheesesteak" and a little touch of home was right in my hotel room ! lol In addition the staff was really sweet. As we sat there on a Saturday night they were nothing short of busy. Delivery guys were in and out and the phone was ringing constantly. Solid pizza in Stafford. Been here 6 months and this is my go to. The pizza is loads better than anything a chain like Pizza Hut, dominoes, or papa John's puts out. Also one of only pizza places I've seen have roasted red peppers as a topping option lol. Stromboli taste is okay, definitely not worthy of above 3 stars for that. Marinara sauce is watery so there's no point in using that. My food is now room temperature. Service was awful! I had to wait 2 hours for my food and my delivery drive had me stand out in the rain to get my food while he stayed in the vehicle and passed me the food through the window. If I'm paying for delivery service, the food should be brought to my door. I had called 3 times to get an update on my order (after about an hour and 45 minutes) and I got placed on hold 3 times and each time was hung up on. After working all day and then driving two hours to get to our hotel, picking up pizza sounded like the best plan. They were very friendly when we placed our order over the phone. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that it had a very NY feel. The bathroom is clean, the floors and tables are clean. Yes, the booths are cracked and old, but the kitchen area (that you can see clearly behind the counter) is shiny and clean. The people that work there care about their craft not hiding boxes. You can tell by the amazing flavor they produce. The hookah is new since I moved away and honestly, it's not my thing so I have no opinion on that. But seriously...TRY THE PIZZA!!! You won't find another one like it...I promise. Following down the lines of Pizza King and Aladin's, Padrino's II is also a restaurant/hookah cafe. The food inside the restaurant smelled delicious. However, the place still looks kind of dumpy. It isn't necessarily dirty, but it just looks so casual that there's no wow factor for those people looking for a night out on the town. Then again, that might be because their location is a double-edged sword. It's great for those of you who live in Stafford and feeling like being out with some friends but don't feel like driving south to Fredericksburg or north to Prince William. The hookahs here are actually not bad - they're pretty good. They also just renovated their smoking side and while it's not mind-blowing, it adds for a relaxing atmosphere along with some music. I don't know if I can come up with the words to adequately describe how gross this place was. First, it smelled bad. Like smoke/grease/unclean kind of bad. WHAT A DUMP. Then, after ordering, I went to sit down in the room with the pool tables. I had to sit there because the few booths in the front room were full of lunchers. The back room stank of smoke. I had to clean off the table because it was clearly dirty - looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. When I went to get a ketchup dispenser, it was so sticky from what had to be months and months of dirt and ick that I had to go wash my hands. That pretty much caused me to lose my appetite. When the philly cheesesteak finally arrived - I was not impressed. There were these green/yellow translucent things in my sandwich that I guess were fried green peppers? They were tasteless, slimy, and generally gross. The rest of the sandwich was equally unpleasant. I've eaten at other Padrinos so I know what they're capable of. I grew up in North Jersey, so I consider myself a pizza snob. Rated from worst to best in Stafford - Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Sam's, Tony's and finally Padrino's. Padrino's uses quality cheese and is generous with their toppings. There is no special dipping sauce or wierd oil plastered all over the crust. It is a simple and delicious pizza. My wife and three kids all agree that this is the best pizza in town. Plus, it's cheaper than most of the chains. Give it a shot. read more

I agree with Devin M. & Laura J.in the prveious reviews....... I just ordered a medium stromboli with light pizza sauce (this was my first time ordering from this place - and will be my last!). After waiting for 1 hr. the driver showed up with my food. I opened the box and the stromboli looked so dry on the outside. As I sliced it with the knife it looked awful. It even tasted awful, they even put too much mozzarella cheese inside of it that it leaked so much oil that it made my heart hurt immediately just be looking at all the oil just leaking from it.
