Stopped by here yesterday, as we were starving and in the area. We had the egg salad sandwich and the tuna sandwich and both were outstanding, they hit the spot exactly. Very fresh, just the right size and not too expensive. We chose the Cheese Jalapeno Bread and it was amazing. Not sure if it is worth getting the "box" for 3 dollars more, as the salad is microscopic and the sweet treat is only one Bacchi chocolate. Overall, an impressive, chic place, if you can afford it. The food honestly was really good, including the desserts but the customer service was really bad, on of my friends asks is that the roast beef and the lady said with attitude "what does it look like to you?!" Mind you the sandwich is wrapped with small RB initials. Then that same lady came to our table and yelled that we were to loud. Wow. What a pleasant surprise. This place is great. Tried the canolis and they were very good. Also had a sandwich that was just fantastic. I think it was porchetta, not sure though. It was seasoned roasted pork, thinly sliced. The rolls are great and baked in house. Grabbed an arancini too but haven't heated it up and tried it yet. Workers are very nice and helpful. The offer you samples and that's a great move because everything was great. Great fresh homemade pasta options; didn't try any but will soon. We ordered the eggplant stack and the meatball sandwich. The eggplant dish was small but very fairly priced for the portion size. So I would treat it like an appetizer to share and order another item. I liked the eggplant but the sauce was a little bit too acidic for my likes. The piece of garlic bread was really hard but that might be because we got an end piece. The meatball sub was very tasty. We got the large size. Great portion, great price. I used to drive by this place every weekday (before 6 AM) and would always tell myself to visit when they're open (I live within three miles). The place is so clean and bright and there are all kinds of handmade foods being made right there in the kitchen for all to watch. That first visit we got sandwiches, several containers of salads (the meat tortellini is amazing) and box of their handmade cookies (one of each - not kidding). The meal was tasty and fresh and easily convinced us that this place will become a regular stop for us. I walked into your establishment and purchased a antipasto salad with mixed greens. When I got home I was not satisfied with the mixed greens and drove back to your establish to get another salad. I spoke to someone who I later discovered was the owner. She was loud and rude. I asked her why was she so loud since I came in here quietly and discreet. When I explained to her that I was familiar with mixed greens and had never seen so much brown on the greens. She loudly stated, "well this is how mine is", proceeded to walk away and get the lettuce, cut it to show me HER lettuce comes with brown on it. I was hungry and I was looking forward to a fresh salad made at a deli. I ask her to make me a salad with the romaine. She proceeded by slamming the tub of lettuce on the counter and pacing back and forth with much anger. I had never seen such behavior from any of the people before. I decided I did not trust her to make me any food because she could have done something to it because she was so angry. I ask to be refunded. She never apologized for her behavior, she never said is there anything else you would like. She made no attempt to retain me as a customer. That was more disappointing than the issue with the salad. I was one of the first customer to visit this establishment when it first opened. There were young women there who I really liked, who were very professional and who I had grown fond of. I enjoyed the food so I told some of my family members and they began frequenting the establishment driving from Fontana and Eastvale. Prior to this experience I had never been treated so rudely before. Just like I told people about how much I enjoyed the place, I now have the unpleasant responsibility of also telling them how unprofessionally I was treated. Well organized, super clean, and friendly staff. But enough about that, the pasta! I found out a couple months ago that their pasta is made from eggs not flour! We came here for the first time on Friday, December 28. Just hours before we had heard our beloved news anchor Chris Burrous had passed away the day before. Both my BF and I were heartbroken. The four star is because we were both disappointed in the quality of customer service. We arrived about 10:35 am. They open at 10 am. Although no one else was in there we were not greeted when we came in. We walked around and it is a very cool store. Very clean and nice decor but doesn't mean much when you don't feel the love. One worker was taking inventory and offered no acknowledgment to us. We walked up to the order counter and the worker behind the counter was not friendly at all. All business and actually seemed annoyed we were there and didn't know what we wanted to order. I actually felt bummed out since the only reason we were here was for Chris Burrous and the staff was lacking big time. The cashier saved the day however. She was very sweet and personable and we definitely appreciated her great attitude. We decided to order the sandwich to go since the vibe was not at all what we expected. Not sure if we will ever be back but it was just our way to honor Chris Burrous and Burrous Bites. Who knows maybe we came in too early and they're much friendlier after they have woken up! I never feel the need to leave bad reviews for places (because I genuinely feel that complaining doesn't do anyone any good), but the older lady working behind the sandwich counter was so rude. With everything going on in the world right now, my aunt and I figured that it'd be nice to help out local businesses that we enjoy. We stopped by when it wasn't crowded, and the woman helping us get sandwiches had some issue with me, I guess. I asked for a sandwich, which she seemed pissed about, but I just decided to ignore it.
