The food is good, but the customer service is quite poor. My husband came back to our table and said one particular worker was rude. She passed by us and he asked her for some chili's, and she just tossed them on the table without looking and didn't respond to him when he said thank you. I look behind the glass where the pastries are and another worker is crying. Horrible customer service and huge disappointment. Went out of our way to drive to Padua Pasta from Corona as we love(d) the deli. We were craving a sandwich and when we got there on a Friday by 12:35pm they were out of bread...okay, we were told about 20mins wait time. As we waited in the car, we chose to call in so we would have our sandwich order in line for when the bread was ready. The rude young girl who answered the phone stated "We don't have any more bread." Interestingly enough that was all she said and provided no more information other than coming across like....sorry for your luck. I had to fish for more info, such as were they not making more or what was going on since we were just told about 20 more mins. This girl informed us maybe in another HOUR they "might" have more bread....not sure how her assumption was so off when the other girl was telling us there would definitely be more bread in 40 minutes less time. I walked in again as we decided not to wait on the mystery bread but to get some pasta salad to go, which they of course (with our luck) were completely out of as well. Funny thing, when I was in there to try to get pasta salad, I overheard a young lady at the deli counter gladly taking a sandwich order from another customer and informing them it would be ready in 20-30mins....unsure why the rude (I call her rude as she was not pleasant to speak with and sounded annoyed that I called) who works in the same deli had no clue what was going on and had no problem losing customers with her incorrect information and no desire to go out of her way to simply confirm if they were accepting any orders for sandwiches. Today was my 3rd visit to Padua. My husband and I walked in at 4:10. They close at 5:00. We walked up to the deli counter and were completely ignored by 2 employees behind the counter that looked right at us. We were the only customers there. Finally one lady that was cleaning off the deli cases said she'd be right with us. After ordering we were told to step aside and wait. We waited over 10 minutes for 1lb of deli meat to be sliced. Did I mention we were the only customers at the counter? The overall feeling was we were interrupting them while they were trying to close the store. Although I really enjoy their food, their customer service needs a serious attitude adjustment. Maybe a bit of customer service 101 would do them all some good. I just love this place!! Fresh meats, cheeses, along with fun items like bakery goods and oils and vinegars. The sandwiches and deli are soooo goood!! The service is so friendly and warm I love going to little places like this. Came in today and as I was waiting for food to be made the girl behind the counter was taking bites of her food and going back to make sandwiches, WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. DISGUSTING. She did this about four times and I stood there and watched. Padua is by far one of the best Italian diners I have ever been too. Everything my wife and I have ever had there have been amazing, especially their pastas and sandwiches. The pasta and their pasta sauces are far better than most Italian restaurants I ever been to. Also their bakery is amazing as well, the cannoli is the best you ever try. Also the staff is extremely friendly my wife and I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 17 month old. This place isn't what it appears on the outside. The building is old and plain, but the inside is beautiful, bright, with white marble everywhere. The biggest problem I had with the place is how small it was. We went in around lunch time, our first mistake, and it was incredibly busy. We ordered our food, and while waiting for it we attempted to find an out of the way place to stand. All the tables were occupied and there were people everywhere, also trying to find a place to stand. The sandwiches were very good, although a bit dry, I recommend getting oil and vinegar on the sandwich. The pasta salads they have to offer are incredibly unique and very tasty. Padua Pasta is a good Italian deli with good customer service. Not as good as Claro's or Old World Deli, of coarse, but good. My family has been here a few times and although I like the food and the service I have one problem. They are way too expensive! I paid $20 for 2 average sized cesar salads. Way to expensive for my budget as far as buying salads go. Yes the lettuce was fresh & the dressing was good but $10 for a medium sized salad, it better be the best salad I ever had. And it just wasn't. I like Padua and I have nothing bad to say about the place except the price. If you want to have good Italian deli for lunch but you don't want to pay $10 for salad, there are 2 other places in Upland that are just as good, if not better, and are much more affordable. read more

Well this is my second visit here. My Genoa Sandwich was good but not worth coming back again to see and get the attitude from the very miserable looking girls behind the counter! I was so disappointed with their guest services. I came in about two weeks ago to check the place out on July 3, 2020. Since I heard of their rave reviews I was needless to say excited. Sadly, the lady who took our sandwich order was extremely rude even though we told her it was our first time. I should mention that they were not flooded with guests when we got there. It took a half hour for our two sandwich order and slice of pizza to be ready for us. While we waited we watched people come in place their order and recieve their order before ours. We also heard the same rude lady be pleasant with many of her regulars who come in. She asked if they'd like their pizza warmed up. Which wasn't asked of us. She asked another if he would like mayo on his sandwich. Which of course they didn't ask of us. Having said that, we actually requested for one of the sandwiches to not have any mustard on it. Well they put mustard on it. I really wish I could give you this person's name who was so rude, but none of them had a name tag. Each person after us walked out with white bags for their sandwiches and ours were just left on the counter with our name said wrong for the pick up. I don't know how someone gets Danielle from Danny. My husband speaks with a deep loud voice and he is 6'4". On top of it, because our bag that wasn't given to us, we left with no pizza. We just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible so we forgot. When we got there only 4 guest were in the store and we were asked to wait outside. As we waited for our order there was barely any room to stand safely and comfortably, because they let so many people in. So I don't understand why that was. While we waited we went over to the bakery side and there was the only sweet person there who greeted us with kindness and talked with us about the items offered and what they were. I really wish I knew of her name. She was short and could barely see over the counter. The sandwiches were tasty, but I wouldn't say it was worth it having the poor experience that we did. The girls here are very nice and very helpful. Great customer service. The atmosphere is very nice; much more than you expect from an average deli. The baked goods are always fresh and taste AMAZING!! The mini bread loaf you can buy at the counter for $0.75 is to die for! I have yet to try any of the wide selection of pasta noodles they offer but the next time I plan a special dinner I WILL be purchasing my pasta here. There's so many different types they offer that I would love to try. I am a vegetarian so sadly I cannot comment on the selection of deli meats, but my boyfriend is IN LOVE with the prosciutto sandwich. We will be back here often. read more
