Great for lunch, Avoid for dinner! When the folks at Mez decided to branch out and create PRG, I was a bit meh at the prospect. While the food at Mez is decent, it's by no means top-quality Mexican food - so their opening of PRG didn't really thrill me. But then it opened... ...and I went there for lunch ...and I went there for lunch again ...and I went there for lunch again ...and - you get the idea. Their lunch menu was great - a cool collection of sandwiches, and some nice veggie entrees make up a really good lunch menu. As long as you avoid the burgers, it's hard to go wrong! But then I went there with my family for dinner - twice; and was totally disappointed. From ultra-slow service tonight (which partially precipitated this review) to a lackluster menu, to the horrible burgers (tip to the chef - a little seasoning on a burger goes a long way!) The reality is that PRG is a good place to go to for lunch, but I'd avoid it for dinner - head over to Tribeca Tavern (or even Mez) - for a much better meal (and probably cheaper too!) Also, avoid the onion rings here - they are super-oily, and their house made "batter" seems to not "stick" to the ring (so you get a bunch of batter pieces and some oily fried onions.) The burgers are a disappointment (the beef ones..) - every time I've had one it's lacked any kind of seasoning, which makes the meat pretty bland - and not overly appetizing. read more

Quality a a good price with a good draft beer selection. I had the grain salad and added avocado and salmon. I wanted to delete the couscous from the salad but they couldn't do that. The salad was delicious but probably bumped my carb count higher than I wanted. The avocado was perfect and the salmon was cooked to my liking. I would highly recommend Page Road Grill read more

Super cute lunch spot! This was my first time coming here so I'm extremely hopeful about returning and trying more items. First, the layout is adorable and there's ample seating. I went during lunch and the parking lot was super packed but there was still seating inside. , I had Vodka and Coke for my drink and Simply fish for my meal. The drink was all that I expected, left me with a huge grin over lunch :). Before I comment on the food I will say that I'm a little on the picky side and before arriving I'd looked at the menu to try and decide what I would order so that the person I went with wouldn't be like "Omg Tiffany I'll never take you to lunch again!" So I couldn't find anything I'd be crazy about before i got there so I was stuck when the waitress came to ask what I wanted. At the suggestion of my friend I order the Simply fish. I think its some NC white fish served with garlic chili sauce on Asian slaw. I will say the garlic chili sauce was yummy. If the flavor would have been infused into the fist a little more it would have been love on a plate. Instead, it was kinda like PLAIN fish with sauce on top. Maybe that's why they call it simply fish?? Anyway I'm not big on slaw but it was pretty yummy with the chili sauce seeping all over it! Great place for happy hour and dinner. There is a terrific and lively bar area that we headed to after dining in the main part of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were unable to extend the good times to the patio area as the weather didn't cooperate. While the outside of the building looks very unassuming, it's very trendy and spacious in the interior. The service was terrific with an attentive waiter. Both me and my partner ordered the ribs with fried potato salad and cole slaw. The ribs were meaty and tasty and I loved the crunch of the fried potato salad. Great parking. read more

Went there for the first time today for lunch. They were busy but not overwhelmingly. We were seated within 10 minutes. Even though we waited another 5 to 10 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us, once they had it was a great experience. She was polite, very apologetic and sent a manager right over. The food was great. We had the baked brie as an appetizer. The combo of flavors were incredible and complimentary of each other. My husband had the chop salad which looked fresh. I had the Melted Beer Burger which was flavored nicely and the mustard they used was not over powering at all. We enjoyed the Pecan Pie empanadas (given to us for free for the initial issue with service). The atmosphere is also quite cute and cozy. Good for single or big groups. I met a friend for lunch. Even though the restaurant was packed, our reservation was honored and we were seated right away. We both had the Seasonal Grain Farro and Quinoa salad, she with chicken, me with shrimp. The combination of flavors - from cinnamon to parmesan - created an experience that stimulated the tastebuds and made for such interesting eating. The food is great and the environment is top notch for a non business attire lunch spot. However, it is a little pricey for a non business attire lunch/dinner spot. Customer service and is great but Page road grill is always busy so at times you will have to practice patience. The bathrooms are clean and up to date. Squash not bad needed a little more time in oven and was expecting a little more fragrant spice, still recommend worth a try. Dinner: field of greens full size with chicken and pork chop with spinach and mashed sweet potatoes....Save room for dessert YOLO! We plan to come back and hope to get 5 star service and update this review.... Had to deduct as we are party of two not twelve how could you not know correct order to give to each of us? Happened with both dinner and dessert... This would be common restaurant training 101. Luckily food was good so only one star deducted; otherwise 3.5 stars. The main issue in one member of party ordered gluten free and only waiter was paying attention and hopefully the chef. Two other people brought entrees and desserts and were going to deliver wrong food to the 2 us! Hopefully a little training can remedy this for a future visit and other guests/diners. read more

I also thought the service was extremely good with our waitress being very sweet and knowledgeable of the menu and recommendations. I'm giving 4 stars only because of price/performance. I've never had anything bad here, but for the prices, I expect more. Basic sandwich with fries comes to 15 bucks. They have a nicely equipped bar, many craft/local beers, with friendly bartenders. The food is very good. It's just all a little overpriced for what it is, IMHO. The same people who own Mez Mexican restaurant in Durham also own Page Road Grille. The food is pretty good here. I'm gluten free so am always somewhat limited in my food choices. I usually get the grilled salmon and ask for it over vegetables or sweet potatoes. My one complaint is that their parking lot is terrible! So small. But the food here is pretty decent for the small few restaurants in RTP. read more

I went here for a working lunch and sat in the bar area. We had 7 people - and the variety of the menu satisfied everyone. The portion sizes were large. I had the BB-Q pork sandwich with potato chips (on GF bun). The BB-Q was yummy southern BB-Q. And the GF bun was edible - a little better than most - not great. Everyone else was happy with their meal - the staff was friendly, competent, and was kind enough to give us separate checks. Their potato chips - to die for! This place is a little "restaurant-chain-esque", but a solid 3.5 - you get what you pay for and what you would expect. - I had to bump it up to 4 because they carried the GF buns. Bar staff was pretty rude and uninterested. I had the crab cake club sandwich for lunch. It wasn't very good and was just thrown together. Crab cake was very loose and almost soupy. I've been here for after work drinks a couple times. I also came here for lunch once. It has a nice atmosphere to hangout and enjoy a few drinks. For lunch I ordered the BLT (minus bacon as I'm a vegetarian) and got the house chips. The sandwich was good but nothing impressive. The house chips were perfect (thin and crispy!). The service was great, too. I just haven't had a chance to come here for lunch again, even though it's only half a mile from work. In the sprawled out, anti-pedestrian bigot wormhole that is Durham RTP/Morrisville, this is place is a real gem. Featuring a very slick decor and intimate ambiance (the place is nice and quiet towards the end of their lunch period), my brother and I really enjoyed lunch here. The waitstaff were professional and courteous, and there's a fair amount of variety (although no substitutions or extra sides are available). The hushpuppies here are a delicious appetizer and I am not even big fan of hushpuppies. The grain salad is to die for and we even tried the pecan pie bites and those were a treat as well. A great place for casual dining in my opinion. I've been for both lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both. I am going to make it a point to go back for happy hour as they have a pretty cool bar space. My husband has gone with some co-workers and was pleased. I'm also looking forward to checking out the patio space when the weather turns nice again. Two things stand out to me about this place - service and food. Two very good things for a restaurant I think. On occasion I've had slightly slow service, but understandably so, as lunch was very busy on those occasions. The servers have always been very friendly and demonstrated an intimate knowledge and liking of the menu. All of the recommendations I've received have been stellar! I'm slightly obsessed with their grain salad. It has dried cherries in it and makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I'd also recommend the burger and the ribs. EXCELLENT ribs! My last recommendation is to make a reservation. This place has been pretty busy the times I've been and after the first long wait without a reservation, I have not had any trouble being seated promptly with reservations made in advance. read more

Special is a "petite tenderloin" which it turns out is more of a par cooked entire tenderloin that they slice off and over sear. I want to kiss the cow my ribeye came from and the chef who prepared it. This was my first time at Page Road grill and it was a great time. Came here for a staff dinner. They have a large private room in the bar that can accommodate small private parties. There were probably about 30 of us. Okay back to the food. I ordered the Prime Ribeye with twice cooked cheddar grits and Brussel sprouts. That ribeye was huge, bot sure how many ounces ,but it did may for a great breakfast the next morning. The grits were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned. I'm a southern girl and I know my grits and these were great. The Brussel sprouts were great too. We also had the shrimp and corn hushpuppies which were could. I could use a bit more shrimp in them. I'm not a fan of pimento cheese but the warm pimento cheese dip that accompanies the hushpuppies is delicious. It does have a little kick to it if you're not a fan of heat like me. Overall the food is great here and I will definitely be back! read more

5/15/2015 4pm'ish. Really disappointed. We ordered two burgers -one well done , one medium well. Both were raw and cold in the center. One was bleeding. The female bartender was very unfriendly from the start. We only got one menu to share, we asked about possible sides of veggies and she told us "its whatevers' on the menu, you'll have to read through the other entrees". She came back as soon as we took the first bite but not again so we weren't able to show her how undercooked it was until the meal was over. In her defense, she was handling the entire bar and bar room on her own. When we tried to show her the raw meat she quickly cut me off and said " yeah, yeah, I get it -do you want me to have them cook you another?". She brought our bill down to half price -which was still pricey for two small side salads but we happily paid it and tipped her just to get out of there. read more

Page road grill deserves 5 stars. From the hush puppies with cheese infused Inside, to the yes mam beer that was one of the best ale's I have had in a long time.
