This is my third painting with Theresa and it's always a lot of fun and a great time with friends. In the South Bay, this is my favorite painting place to go. We did two sessions via zoom prior to this one, which was in person. It's not overcrowded which is nice, and more comfortable with the pandemic precautions. I have been to Paint 'n Pour many times in the past but they've done a cheerful facelift both inside and out. Theresa is a pro at leading the sessions, giving tips and pointers as she paints along with you. She has a helper who keeps both your paint palettes and wine glasses full. . read more

A great experience overall. I've been wanting to do a paint-and-drink-wine event ever since I first walked by one while walking on State street in Santa Barbara a few years ago. Of course, I never followed up on it until recently. I first contacted Marie, who set up a private event on a weekday during lunch time. She was very informative on the phone, explaining what the event entailed, how long it would be, what I could do about food and wine, and how much the fees are. 1. You pay per head usually, but if you arrange a private event, you pay a flat fee. 2. It lasts about 2- 2 1/2 hours. 3. You pick a painting and everyone draws the same painting. I assume if you're attending a class and not a private event, you have a painting picked for you. 4. You can bring your own wine, $5 corkage fee. 5. You can also bring your own food, but bring (paper) plates and utensils. 6. You can buy soda/water/beer there. 7. Everything such as paint, canvas, apron, and brushes are provided. 8. No artistic talent or experience necessary!! Marie instructed us on how to do our painting, step by step. You end up with a beautiful piece of art! I've only been to this place, so I have nowhere else to compare it to, but we had fun, I felt like I learned a skill, and I left with a piece of artwork with me. What more could I ask for? Actually, one thing I wish they would change is that although they let you bring your own wine, they did not have real wine glasses, and they poured wine into plastic cups. I understand providing wine glasses might cause some breakage while people are wielding their paintbrushes around, but it would've made the experience A LOT better. Heck, I would've even brought my own had I known. As any wine drinker knows, nothing like drinking wine out of a plastic cup that puts a damper on drinking good wine! read more

It's a Friday night, Jamie A, Jennifer N, Geraldine N and I are off channeling our inner Picasso's to create a masterpiece! The concept of Paint N' Pour is awesome! Their motto is "You come. You paint. You drink wine (or beer or soft drinks)." It's a little studio with a stage where an instructor walks you through how to create your own art! Everything is supplied! They give a 16 x 20 canvas, acrylic paint, easel, apron and brushes. The folks at Paint N' Pour made this experience so much fun! They had great music playing in the background and a couple times folks in the room were singing along to the music! *Sweet Caroline...." Ooh it's like karaoke! I love it!! For our painting session, we were painting the "Sailboat Silhouette" and so some of the song choices that night had the word "ocean" in it (done on purpose) and Rich, the instructor told us when we would hear the word "ocean" in a song, it was an indication to cheers with our drinks (I just had soda but it was still fun lol). At the end of the night, I loved seeing everyone's creations! They were all unique and different! Each one catered to one's personality and it was awesome! As everyone knows, I am a big hello kitty fan and so my special touch for my painting was naming my sailboat "Hello Kitty." This is is a great place to hang out with friends and have a fun, stress free night out! I'm the first to admit that I am not that artistic but I loved my experience here so much that I cannot wait to Paint (and pour lol) again! read more

I have been here twice and had a great time at both events. Some people think only art pros come here and make the newbies look bad, but that isn't true at all. Although people of all skill levels attend, everyone is too busy (drinking & painting) to focus on what you are painting, lol. So don't be embarrassed at all. I would say my artistic ability is in the low range, but I still enjoy this place! Have a good attitude and you'll be ok! Paint N Pour is great for dates, girl's night, an office event, Mother's Day... I took my husband here for Valentine's day. He said he hadn't painted since elementary school, but his scene looked greattt and more importantly-- he had a fun time. As long as you are a friendly person and don't mind following some paint instructions, then you enjoy some hands on art. So great!! I've done 3 classes with these guys. The last one was a paint your dog class and it was amazing! The instructors are so nice and helpful, the facility is fun and clean, and the little wine bar they have set up is awesome! One suggestion: an option for venmo/Zelle etc. for leaving tips! Paint 'n Pour is AWESOME!! My bf and I used the Groupon deal and we had a fantastic time! We were the first ones to arrive and was greeted by Marie and Rich. They are married, owners, instructor, facilitator, and bartenders of the place! They are amazing and laid back with a great sense of humor. You can bring your own drinks, a small fee applies (beer $1 and bottle of wine $5) which is not bad at all. They sell drinks and snacks for a really good deal too! The place were very clean, restrooms were well maintained! The canvases were high quality and durable! My bf and I didn't want to take home similar paintings so instead we decided to work together and mesh our painting together! I am so glad we did because it turned out great and we now have a painting we can actually put up without it costing too much $$ ! Rich was the instructor that night and we explained very well and easy to follow. He cracked a few jokes and Marie and Rich came around often to help if you needed it. Painters went on their own speed. No one felt rushed during the time and I noticed people were still painting when the class was "over" but they didn't rush or kick people out. Definialty a GREAT time and I will be sure to return. The location is so convenient too, easy parking (free) and it beats driving to LA, valeting your car, and ordering from a menu!! I did this yesterday afternoon and I can't stop talking about it! Let's preface this review with the fact that I am no Picasso. What is better than a mini-bar where you can purchase wine and snacks, 90s music, and instruction on how to paint? I got a Groupon and took my friend for her birthday and she loved it. We painted "Four Sisters" (I uploaded the picture) and it's cool because you can totally customize everything from colors, to items in your picture, etc. I painted mine for my friend (and it's pretty large). I took tons of pics and sent them to everyone to brag how cool the activity was. The parking lot has a lot of parking as well. I'm definitely coming back! read more

So fun and cute! I've done three of these wine and paint nights to date and this was the best experience by far. They don't rent space at a restaurant and instead have their own standalone shop, which is nice. The instructor and the "bartender" were both very friendly and helpful and our paintings ended up looking like what's on the website, which isn't always the case. Highly recommend. I had the most fun I had in a while. Our group of friends were celebrating friends with birthdays. most of us have never painted before, so we were nervous about this event. Daisy, you should be more specific. Don't understand why you are on Groupon if you are not going to be treating all your potential customers equally. I called her because my friend had try calling and she was told she was going to get back at her for available spaces if anyone cancelled. This happen a few times and she never got a call back. When I called she told me she had available spaces but when I told her I was going to pay with Groupon she said she needed to get back to me. I am very understanding person I said ok. I understand is her business and her priority is to make the most money but if that's the case she should specify that only a specific number of people can use Groupon deals per night. The best thing to do is probably not even do Groupon. She never call back neither one of us that we ended up getting a refund. What a headache ... read more

We had a wonderful time tonight. Daisy is a lot of fun and gives great instruction. The class pace is perfect. You sit at tables with others so you can meet other people. We got a ticket for a free drink (beer/wine/soft drinks/water). A very relaxed atmosphere which was great after having a hectic week. I have never painted anything in my life and was surprised to find how easy and fun this was. The best part was at the end when you saw everyone else's work. I bought a Groupon for this because I always wanted to go, and it's usually pricey, so I figured I'd try it out with that discounted price. I took my mom while she was in town, and we had a BLAST! I've always been a very artistic person, and I love to paint, draw, design, etc. My mom... not so much lol, but she was excited to spend time with me doing something different, while also being able to drink wine. :) Overall, we had a great experience, and plan to get our family members together for a private group session one of these days!
