This was so much fun! I bought a gift card for my husband and I'm so glad I did. The owner was really friendly and did a great job detailing how to get started. They offer a good variety of drinks beforehand so we got to have a beer as we threw paint. We did the Jackson Pollock Experience and did 2 canvases, 1 splatter and 1 pour. It was really fun to don a head to toe suit and paint without a care of making a mess! I really want to come back and try this again sometime. read more

My partner surprised me with a casual Thursday date night here, and it was such a unique experience. We both got a cocktail to start sipping while we dressed in protective plastic gear, and we received an explanation and a short process of how to do things. We had a bear model that we applied a base layer of paint to, and then were instructed to apply dripping layers of paint and use the brushed to splatter or spritz additional colors as effects. It was such a creative experience. I'm told they have other unique painting events, I imagine it's a fun group or team-building activity to do as well. Love this place! I had so much fun splashing paint around. My group had the space to ourselves which was fun as we could jam and enjoy the music and have fun. Some even got a little crazy and started throwing paint at each other. They offer different pricing options so pick the one that's best for you. My group opted for painting with open bar. My girlfriend surprised me with a date night here and it turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable experiences we've had in Santa Monica. From the start the vibe was creative, laid back, and perfect for letting loose and having fun. Splattering paint, creating something together, and laughing the whole way through was already worth the visit but what truly made this place stand out was the owner. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time possible. Not only did he check in often to make sure we were taken care of, but he also surprised us with a round of drinks on the house and the real cherry on top came when we went back to pick up the bears we painted. He surprised us again by taking the leftover paint from our session and turning it into two beautiful canvas pours for us to take home. That extra effort showed how much he cares about his guests and their experience, and it turned a fun date night into something truly special and personal. Let me not forget to mention that his playlist was fire ....The music kept the energy high and added to the creative anything goes atmosphere. It's the kind of detail that makes the whole experience feel curated instead of just another activity spot. Came here with a group of 12 to celebrate my birthday and it was even better than I expected!! The host was so friendly and welcoming - he had snacks available to us and gave us a walkthrough of what to do. We spent the first hour painting our individual canvases and then the last half hour we worked together on a group painting. Everyone had a blast and kept saying what a great event this was. My wife and I visited the Splatter Studio for a Friday night date night (date & create package!). We arrived 30 minutes early, and were kindly brought to the bar to wait, while enjoying a nice drink. We were then suited up from head to toe, brought up to the mezzanine, and the space was ours for an hour. We had TONS of paint available, a variety of brushes and tools for different effects on the canvas. We had SO MUCH fun, not only was this date night unique, it was creative, fun, and intimate. Super fun experience!! The cocktails are great and the black light party was a blast. You get to shoot, splatter, throw and get paint in every imaginable way onto your canvas (and the walls, the ceiling and everywhere else). Where else can you do that?
