I've been here several times to catch up with friends and it is always a delight! The Kumar's Desire pizza is definitely my all time favorite item on their menu, it's an Indian fusion style pizza with tandoori chicken and drizzled with cucumber raita The Nonbinary pizza was lovely as well, we substituted the pork for vegetables and it was still so flavorful. I also tried the Bollywood Deviled Egg, which is another fusion dish, a deviled egg with the flavor profile of Indian street food. From the first bite that exquisite tangy flavor of lime pickle and chaat masala just smacks your tastebuds in the best way. The desserts I've had here are also fabulous, they're not too sweet (which is a good thing!). A lot of American desserts are loaded with so much sugar that they give me a headache after two bites, whereas the desserts here are the perfect level of sweetness that doesn't overpower the taste of the other ingredients. I don't drink much, but they have a great selection of craft beers and ciders (my friend had the most delicious mango cider when we went last). On occasion Pairfield has seasonal menu items for different holidays--this past year for Cinco de Mayo they had a limited birria style pizza that came with a consommé to dip it in. I truly look forward to the creative fusion dishes they release in the future! This is a family business and the service is very warm. Every time I eat here I feel so valued as a customer and seeing how the family and staff treat their other customers you can tell that they have a strong rapport with their clientele. They have a cozy sports-bar type vibe going on with two (possibly more, don't quote me on that) TVs that are always playing some games, but it's definitely still family friendly. Glad we met my girlfriend for dinner here last night! Everything was delicious, I can't wait to try a different pizza next time as pizza is filling, could only eat so much. We ordered different beers and a glass of wine, a calamari appetizer and two pizzas, we also have leftovers now.. Truly the best part of our evening was the awsome service from Melody. We had to tell her how amazing she was and that we admired her patience and calmness. Open...open...open. For weeks I would stop by and peak inside, my nose pressed upon the glass windows. Finally, they've opened. First, lovely people. Led by Melody (aka "Debra") the front of house manager, so very nice. Second, good brews. Lots of craft draft selections, you'll be bound to find something you like. Third, good grub. I tried a pizza with pep, mush, and ricotta [$24, 4.5 stars] -- a 14" pie with a wonderful medium crust, ample super fresh and quality toppings, and super cheesy. Also, got an order of the Rolling Stones [$17, 4.0 stars] -- 3 pork balls, well seasoned, with a creamy red pepper sauce over polenta cakes. I felt a little pricey for the portion, very tasty though, and balls could have been lighter (with a little more bread crumbs) -- they were dense. Fourth, they're in the soft opening stage, with the grand opening Thursday. Menu and beer selections will be slightly changing. It didn't have a vibe, yet. While I sat there for a couple of hours, 10 other people came in. This place could be something, and I believe it will. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Hands down, this is the best pizza in the east bay. Great selection of beers as well. Service is good and they are always pretty fast. They have a few TVs, so you can watch the game(s) while you have a beer and eat some pizza. Oh...their Korean wings are also awesome. read more

Great food and service! They have nice booths to enjoy your food and they have a large open room in the back to hang out with friends and family. We ordered the pan frito sourdough bites with ranch and chipotle ranch. They were really tasty with a nice chewy texture. I highly recommend the chicken wings, the ginger sweet chili sauce is so good you really do not need the dipping sauce they come with. We ordered the Italian job pizza. It has a nice crisp crust and the toppings were delicious. My only problem was for $29 the pizza was too small and it was a bit stingy on the toppings. Jeff, Thanks for your response and owning up to it. On the other hand, I am not sure what you mean by many checks. There were 1 or 2 other tables and 2 people at the bar. Also, I was honest and let you know multiple times that I closed my tab at the table, but since you insisted a couple times that it was still open I took your word for it. I understand that we are all human and we make mistakes, I know this is probably not something you do often as I have been to Pairfield a few times before and this has not happened in the past. The reason why I was unhappy was because you tried to run my card again the next day without letting me know. I also worked at restaurants and if I made a mistake and let someone leave without paying for a drink then it would be on me. I would own up to it or pay for it out of my own pocket. I would not expect the customer to drive back and pay for it, (which I did) but if they did, due to inconveniencing them I would offer them something on the house. I'm not saying this is something you have to do but it is a kind gesture and it helps encourage the customer to continue to come back and maintain a good faith relationship. Honestly I don't normally write reviews but I was very unhappy with this experience and hope that other customers have a better experience. read more

Stopped here to meet friends as I was told it was a new business in the area . Ordered some "sticky fingers" chicken wings that had a chilli sauce with sprinkling of sesame seeds and strips of carrots ! They were meaty and juicy . Next I ordered the Tiffany salad that had kale ,chunks of blue cheese and a six minute soft boiled egg ! The salad was loaded with flavor and the colors were fun! I had the Italian job pizza the crust was wafer thin with loads of toppings . I was blown away with the wide variety of local beers and the owner Jeff help me picking out the beer that I would like and gave me samples , I want to come back and try the other fun variety's of artesian pizzas on the menu. These used to be another pizza place a few years ago. I drove by and thought I would give it a shot. I'm going to give it 5 stars because it's a new business and I'm hoping they improve the food. The fried sourdough bites were a unique concept and I like the idea but I feel like they served me undercooked ones. The slice of pizza was a bit of a mess as you can see in the picture. It came out as I asked but it wasn't anything special although the toppings tasted good. I opted to use the online ordering and my interactions with staff were limited as I paid on my phone and I like that option. The staff that brought my food out were very friendly. This is not your average pizza joint. Think about this. It's an artisan pizza crust that's a 2-day process to make. It mimics a chewy, crispy sourdough crust. The sausage is made in house as well as other items. The owner keeps a lot of his concept on the down low, not on purpose but when I listen to him talk about his ingredients, it makes you feel the knowledge and passion for what he is doing. A lot of the information about the ingredients are specific to every dish. He goes to the local farmers market to seek ingredients when needed for more of a seasonal flair to the menu. He simply cares about the product. I love the product. He wants local growers and brewers to showcase these products and display how good they really are. Such as, he found a San Marzano type of tomato for his pizza sauce right here in the north bay! I'm sitting here right now listening to him and he's giving a lesson of his local ingredients, retraining his staff but hopefully it will be expressed a little more in detail on his website and menu, in his own words, and have the employees train off his site. Trust me, what comes out of the owners mouth regarding the ingredients made me a believer of this pizza house because the fact that the menu items are unique and tasty! I'm a 35 year veteran of the industry and it's a gift to listen to his passion and product. Please understand that he's not Superman, he can't make a $100 pizza and charge $28. He does a great job with local ingredients and stretching out what he can do. The rest is thought, care, passion, and palate. I don't see a typical pizza joint doing anything like this. Don't expect Domino's. Even the soda is carefully picked. It's not Coke. It shouldn't be. It's an entire line of designer sodas from a particular brand with nothing artificial or using high fructose corn syrup. All Micro brews are local. Rotating and some seasonal taps. We happened to stop here as it was late on a Friday, leaving Home Depot, and we needed dinner. I found this place on Yelp, and saw they were open and had great reviews... and were just across the street! Cool, we'll check it out. So, we walk inside and see this beautiful tap lineup - all the knockout local beers & cider. And yes, a Fieldwork hazy IPA, which the husband and I both chose. We order quickly, figuring they probably want to close soon, given the time, and the staff was very kind and no one rushed us. We created our own pizza and it was hands down the best pizza we've had in the States together. The entire time we're eating , we each comment on how delicious the pizza is, and how we are making the trip from Walnut Creek regularly. The cheese is nice and melty & hot, the sauce is very tasty and the crust is perfection- crisp bottom, fluffy on the inside, and the right amount of chew. Reminded us of our favorite pizza in Italy. Best pizza in the Bay Area if San Ramon counts as the Bay Area. These are the things I like about this place (in order): The dough: Pizza is all about the dough and their dough is special. It is chewy and light but somehow still crispy and has body. I don't know how they do it but I knew I was eating a good slice from the first bite when they first opened some time in November. Emphasis on small business: they are thoughtfully local and emphasize the small business aspect. They have very local beers on tap and their soda selection is really creative and unique: Pineapple Cream Soda? Who has that? I wish I took a photo of their soda selection because the Force was strong with that fountain drink dispenser. They put a ton of work into the place. I have no doubt they are going to blow up when the right customers/clientele walk through the door. I have had their nonbinary pizza, Ocktoberfest pizza (brussell sprouts and sausage), Italian Job, mushroom pizza, pepperoni pizza, and many more.
