Pajo's two pieces halibut and chips
Kate O.

Pajo's continues to serve spectacular fish and chips! Visited with my granddaughter two days ago who declared the halibut and chips "Best thing I ever ate!" She was over the moon with the flavour, the crisp batter and the fresh (not frozen) chips. The line moved quickly and we were served in just a few minutes on a busy Saturday. Don't know how they do it! Generous portion of delicious, flaky halibut (the very best fish for fish and chips, in my opinion) in a gorgeous light, crisp batter, endless fries and home-made tartar sauce. Served fresh and hot, there's nothing like it. Plus, it was a glorious sunny day on Pajo's wharf at Steveston. Sun glistening on the sea and fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. "If I had to pick a last meal," said the granddaughter, "this would be it!" Thank you, Pajo's, you made our day at Steveston even better! Highly recommended 11/10!

Fish and chips were delicious. Breading is light and crispy. Fish was perfect. Fries are good.

Saw PAJOs after my 9 hour flight landed, had to eat it since I loved the other location. It was at 10am and the cashier was sitting there. I asked nicely if they were open and he sounds so impatient and rude "yeah u can see the menu ofc we r open". I ordered just cod and it came after a while, it didn't taste fresh, the batter literally couldn't stick to the fish. And the amount of tartar sauce was pathetic. Glad the other location is still good, but I wouldn't come to this location again

I am glad they open early here because I was pretty hungry! We ordered a medium size fish and chips. I believe the portion is smaller than the one at Steveston and priced around the same. The fish pieces are smaller. The batter is not crispy but at least the fish is not dry. It was definitely not meant to be shared. The fries are pretty good. It's not salty. Overall, you can't expect too much for airport food.

A relatively new addition to YVR airport, Pajo's Fish and Chips was initially a nice surprise. I was happy to see a fish and chips shop as one of the options at the food court since I thought BC's reputation for seafood would resonate with travellers. Unfortunately, the fish and chips however are definitely overpriced, the portion is super small and really does enforce the stereotype of expensive airport food. One tiny piece of halibut with fries will set you back $10. In a no-frills food court, I don't think people should expect much, but if i wanted to load up on french fries, I could easily go elsewhere. Overall, I would advise people to avoid and try something else that will fill you up and at least give you something that's worth your value. Greater Vancouver definitely does have good fish and chips, but you won't find them here.

They took away the Asian food I loved, but this place is great, too. Really good fish and all the chips you care to eat. Service was slower than expected, but only because they cooked the food fresh and didn't let it sit under heat lamps. Terrific tartar sauce, crispy filet perfectly cooked. Friendly service.

Cod burger is not worth the money at all. The "patty" is one short strip of fish. I included my finger in the photo for comparison. It might as well be a kid's meal.

I'm not really into deep fried greasy food but I was really hungry and decided to have fish taco and fries. It's a great meal deal $6 combo that includes your taco, fries and a drink. Fast service and the cashier up at the front is a great representative of customer service.

Be prepared to wait, and wait you will. Especially if it's a sunny day. 30 min to order your food, and then another 20-30 min to get it, depending on how busy they are. Outdoor seating only with a bunch of benches and a few tables. I already knew I was going to do take away, so I didn't need to jostle for a seat. Almost everyone else had to do the jostleing. Two piece cod and a salmon tacone. The cod was overcooked. The tacone was good. Fries were crispy and unevenly fried. Meaning some pieces were burnt a little. Still acceptable tho. Hence the 3 ***'s It was decent, but it didn't wow me. Maybe it was an off order day. I like my fish. You can smell the ocean near the pier. Makes me feel I'm surrounded by fish and everything fishy.

One of the OG restaurants (if not THE OG) in Horseshoe Bay. Been around since 1946…read more Parking is available behind the building, as well on the various village side streets. The building is definitely on the older side. Lots of wood trim. Reminds me of an old dock. The seating area is L shaped, and largely fits around the outer edge of the building (the restaurant is on a corner lot). Great view of the park and water. Staff are friendly and cheerful. As my friends and I were only here for a beer, I can't comment on the food. Pricing looked pretty reasonable, and I've heard good things about this place from friends. Guess I'm coming back at some point.

But, still accurate. Ok..... The House Salad with Chicken. The Chicken was tasty. There was just not enough of it. Especially considering added chicken was $8. Not an Entree size and certainly not filling. The rest of the ingredients were so underwhelming. Barely any beats, a few tomatoes and just a heap of shredded carrots over a bed of greens. So very basic for an $18 salad without the chicken. The 2-piece Cod and Chips. The actual battered fish was nice. Fresh delicious seafood in a lively restaurant!…read more Had an amazing experience here. Took a solo vacay trip to Vancouver and this was on my bookmarks. Did not disappoint!! Was seated front row to all the action. Watched as the employees shucked the oysters at the oyster bar while enjoying my delicious meal. The ambiance is loud, fun, and open. Service was friendly and helpful. My water was refilled often and the men working the oyster bar had great communication. I ordered the Manila clams and many oysters. Delicious. Amazing. Everything I wanted and blew me away. Presentation was immaculate and taste was phenomenal. Incredible meal that left me smiling the rest of the day. Filling and sooo so delicious. Since the host ordered everything I don't quite remember everything we got. What we had was generally good, but also I thought to myself that each item was quite small, and hard to share evenly among the 7 people there. I remember looking at the menu after and thought to myself that it was quite expensive for very small portions. A number of guests were disappointed the restaurant only served beer and wine, and couldn't mix drinks. Service was good enough - friendly and interactive but nothing outstanding. I didn't pay for this meal, so it was fine. But I don't think I would be rushing back because it's quite expensive for small portions.
