We came in and ordered asada fries and mulitas de pastor. Made quickly and had a fresh taste. Both options were really good and the salsas are perfect. The fries were really crispy, which is a personal favorite of mine - todo doradito. Horchata is also good. It's hard to find a spot that has great food, great salsas and great horchata. I was at sushi yesterday and walked by this place and smelled greatness so I had to come back the next day for lunch. Cool interior, pretty open and good amount of seating. No one was in there... too early? Maybe cause they just opened up this week? I don't care I ordered my tacos right away. I went with 2 Carne asada tacos, 1 pastor, 1 pollo and one birria. I got all three sauces just to try them out. The birria taco was moist and flavorful and had that taste that took me back to eating tacos in Zacatecas, Mexico. The asada was nice and tender and hot yiu with all the flavor, including the gucamole slammed on top of the taco. The pollo was a bit on the bland side but not bad. Pastor was good as well. My fav had to be he birria and asada and I like the yellowish sauce. They were all pretty damn hot... but I like heat. Overall it was a cool joint and I'll have to cruise by again. read more

There's so much tacos and meat variety here! I'm always in taco heaven when I get I visit Palapas. They have such great lengua, pastor, asada, carnitas, shrimp, & fish tacos. Because it's so hard to choose, I never know what to get, so I make sure to get them all! I love that they give you a big glop of avocado sauce to top off the tacos. Another favorite of mine here is their shrimp asada fries! The serving is plentiful! The taste is excellent! Fries hot and crispy topped with very tasty plump shrimp, and a very yummy cream. This is a really good Mexican restaurant located conveniently close to downtown Fullerton. I am a big fan of everything but their nachos (they are a little bland in my opinion). They do take a while to cook the food, but it is usually worth it. This place has a nice atmosphere and both indoor and outdoor seating. I also highly recommend their salsas, Birria taco/ramen combo, and their California burrito. This place also has great weekday specials including all you can eat tacos. I had the worst customer experience at this place. It was our first time going here with my family and some friends. We ordered 4 tacos for my kids and told the lady attending i wanted them plain and ordered the rest of our food. We tried asking about their new upcoming location in Corona and where it might be and she responded with an attitude "I dont know i just work here". When our food was ready the 4 tacos we ordered had everything on them. I told her we had ordered them plain and she got super defensive saying that it was our fault and we never told her. Also said she showed us the screen and that we agreed. Yes she showed us the screen but how am i supposed to know how their system works. I told her my kids wont eat them and she said that was our problem. I asked to remake them and she said we would need to pay for them again which i refused. My food got cold because i had to argue about this issue. She blamed the owner saying that he would be upset. If this is the case i feel sorry for them and their lack of training. It was four tacos and they should of just taken care of it. The cook looked at me and my wife with an apologetic look. He remade the tacos and apologized. This was not his fault. Lady even said this happens often and its always the customers resposibility and that the restaurant is not willing to take a loss. All in all this place needs to work on their customer service skills. They have now lost us as customers. There is a lot more to this story and not enough time or space to write. The word that describes this place: mediocre. My boyfriend and I shared the Cali quesadilla, after seeing the video on Instagram. It comes with meat, cheese, and is supposed to come with french fries. We couldn't taste the french fries, and only 6 fries were visible. The meat was seasoned nicely with salt and pepper, but overall not very juicy. The quesadilla was actually very dry, and it felt like it was missing a little something. We put some sauce, lime, and pico de gallo on there, and that helped, but it was still not a memorable meal by any means. Would i come back? Service was okay, not the friendliest. The restaurant could have used a little cleaning too. The asada meat was cold, dry and tasteless. This place has decent tacos for taco tuesday. I liked that when they first opened they had the beans, onions, chiles, and salsa bar up front. Those disappeared with Covid but hopefully they will make a return. I usually only go here for the taco special or the burrito special. The meats can be a bit bland but they prepare the tacos well and it is a good portion for the price so the value is there. They have a taco eating challenge that looks fun if you are a teenager and an AYCE taco deal as well. Cashiers are usually (not always unfortunately) nice and the wait isn't too long. This place has the only dirt parking lot in Fullerton I can think of other than the arboretum and Tri City Park's back lot. Not sure what the story is there but your car will get dirty. read more

Well, looking through the menu, I saw mulitas which I wasn't familiar with, so I ask the cashier and it sounded good, so I tried it. Well, the al pastor mulitas was tasteless. I also ordered the guacamole and that was like plain smashed avocado. It was also tasteless, there's no seasoning at all. I had bought the guacamole separate from the mulitas. I was charged a fee from one of my card purchase. I was never informed that I was being charged a fee. Their site never mentioned a fee for card purchases. Most of the places I go to doesn't charge a fee for purchases including the Fullerton farmers market. Hope the manager fixed this. read more

Really disappointed with the service, slow and couldn't remember our orders. Menudo tasted sour like it was almost rotten really disappointing. The birria tacos were dry bland and very obviously cut and not actually cooked and shredded. Very much so took a short cut to make the food. The actual restaurant was cramped and server was constantly bumping into me cause of how cramped the table space was. Super over priced they ended up taking one of our orders off still paid $60 for 2 plates of birria tacos kids chicken and fries, 1 soda, and a beer. Sadly, I wasn't impressed with that only because I was expecting something completely different. The wait was long with only a few people waiting for food ahead of us. Though, I don't mind a longer wait time for a delicous fare. The redeemers would be the salsa bar and grilled onions & jalapenos readily available for all to enjoy.
