Recently, I took my daughter and her friend out to lunch at Palio Pizza Cafe in The FireWheel. They have pasta, pizza, sandwiches and appetizers. They also had some packaged desserts to go. My daughter's friend ordered pizza rolls. My daughter ordered chicken Alfredo minus the chicken. I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni, cheese and olives. All of our food was very good. The service was friendly and the food was timely. They were able to accommodate any food requests which was very nice. Orders are placed at the counter and then the food is brought out. The thing I tend to judge strictly is the cleanliness of a restaurant. While it is a pizza restaurant and kids can get handprints on the windows there were handprints all over the door, window and display case. When we went to go sit down there were three tables that were not bussed. We took the last clean table that could accommodate 3 or more. A family with two kids came in after us and they actually cleaned their own table to be able to sit down including doing their best to wipe down the table. There was lots of wear and tear on the furniture and lots of missing paint from the walls. My daughter's friend used the restroom on our way out and reported that the restroom had no toilet paper. While the food was good the cleanliness of the restaurant would keep me from coming back. read more

I'm still loving this place! I come by every couple of weeks and try a different specialty pizza on cauliflower crust (it tastes just like thin crust but with way fewer calories). So far I've tried the "King", "Scorcher", "Luke's Hot Italian", "Hawaiian Sunrise", "The Jimmy", "The Club", "The Prestino", "Cade & Blake with Pesto". My favorites have been "Luke's Hot Italian", "Hawaiian Sunrise", "The Jimmy" & "The Cade & Blake". My goal is to to try them all! I also appreciate that they are kind enough to bring the pizza out to me on the patio, where I can enjoy the fresh air. read more

We had a Father's Day gathering here today. We come here often, as the food is excellent. The prices are reasonable, and the service is good. Our favorite is the small King Pizza, and a dinner salad, both of which we share. Give them a try! I think you'll like them. read more

This place was kind of nasty. There were no napkins in the holder on the table and no paper towels in the ladies' room. The men's room was gross. Paper towels all over the floor and an unflushed, nauseating toilet. We ordered a pizza and a gyro with no lettuce. While waiting, we saw 2 tables that came in after us get their orders. Finally, our pizza arrived but still no gyro. I finally went back to the counter and asked about it. When the gyro arrived, it had lettuce on it mixed with the crumbled feta cheese. We tried to remove the lettuce but unfortunately most of the feta went with it. It had taken so long to get it we didn't want to re-order but my companion didn't want it like it was either. We had them box the pizza and we left the mess of a sandwich uneaten and we left. We will never go back. read more

It was Saturday and just spending some time with my lady, we drove through Firewheel and stopped in for some pizza. The food was fresh, hot and good, made to order. Place was a little busy so the guy at the counter was doing a few different things at once. Nice vibe in the restaurant but it was needing some attention in some areas. Clean the fans, paint the walls, take some time to make it a little nicer. I'll be back at some point. I'll be looking for improvements. Would love to give 5 stars next visit. If you want to run in and out for some good food, then get here soon as you can. read more

I'm really disappointed in this place I order from them for my company every now and again but now they will truly never get my business again, they're a a dishonest bunch I ordered from this place on Uber eats, they canceled my order and input that I called and asked them to cancel, Uber refused to refund me because they put in that I asked them to cancel, and the boy that answered the phone said they canceled it because they didn't have enough drivers. Then they tried to give me a hard time about it, I'll never support this business again Business owners should really watch the style of people they hire read more

Zero stars. I should have read the reviews first. I placed a delivery order for work. A small order 3 medium pizzas. It's only a 10 minute 3 mile drive and it took almost 2 hours!!! I called and asked for an update. I was told there is only one driver and I placed my order very early. I know I placed my order early but that is not an excuse for the order to take almost 2 hours. A lack of staff is not my problem. read more

First time ordering and I don't understand the great reviews. First of all the pizza arrived cold (not lukewarm) and undercooked with no stops or traffic along the way and we live 8 minutes from the restaurant. We had to reheat it in the toaster oven prior to eating. Our pizza didn't look anything like the ones in the recent reviews either. No big, chunky toppings. Due to the almost complete lack of sauce, it looked like a white sauce pie which it wasn't supposed to be. Secondly we found it extremely bland and under-seasoned overall, even the meats themselves were bland and we got the all meat gourmet. We had to add garlic, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Even the person who doesn't eat anything spicy at all commented on how bland it was. Additionally we asked for extra sauce, but there was practically none whatsoever, let alone extra. The bright spot of the meal was the vanilla cannelloni which was delicious. As much as I hate leaving a negative review, there just really wasn't much to say about the experience that was positive. We stopped in after a doc apt. I should have read the reviews. I ordered a kid/lunch calzone buffalo chicken with a Caesar salad and husband got a small made his own. 46$ Then the lady came to our table and said she didn't charge me for my salad so i went and paid for it. another 8$ Salad came in plastic bowls. silverware was plastic in packages. pizza came out and it didn't have any buffalo sauce on it. so i walked up to ask if i could have a side to dip she told me it was on there. Then she stood there doing something on the check out and told me .81$ i kind of looked at her and told her i ordered a buffalo chicken and it didn't have any on it. she argued with me and told me it was on there. I walked away from her. i ate my salad. someone walked up dropped a side of buffalo at my table i didn't look to see who it was. i pushed it and the pizza away and we left. It was also 6:30 and we were the only customers in the restaurant. That should have been my first sign. Just do better. We wont go back. read more

Pizza is usually very good. Tonight we ordered a Classic, which comes with fresh basil. Ours had no basil.

Went in to pick up an order that was already supposed to be ready. Was told they had not started it and would take ten minutes. I waited fifteen minutes later and went back in the store and was told they still had not put the order in the oven. The guy at the front said he's not the one making the pizza. FILTHY RESTAURANT!! I had came in and WASNT greeted, wasn't given a table to sit at (every single table was dirty I'm not exaggerating ) I had to clean MY OWN TABLE because none of the workers had done it in what seemed like DAYS! While I was cleaning the table one of the workers a young Hispanic women just watched as I did it AND PROCEEDED TO TAKE A VIDEO OF ME!? And when I had confronted her she didn't deny it and seemed like she was under the influence. And after going through all that and ordering food it was very disappointing and I felt like they had made the food in a certain way because of the interaction. Wanted some pizza so we came in to try this place while shopping in the Firewheel Center and stopped in midweek. Place was busy and their pizza was good. Reminded me of the thin east coast style pizza. Tasty and delicious, we finished the whole box. Wasn't expecting the pizza to be so thin. They offer lots of other things and take out is available. Come in for lunch or dinner. You can also take something home, you won't regret it. read more

We lost our Palio's in my little town a few years back and decided to catch up on some long lost pizza favs at the Firewheel location after an airport run to pick up family. The location in mall is a short hop off the toll road. I found it easily and met our group for pie. We ordered our old standby the Hawaiian Sunrise and everyone in our group ordered to their individual taste buds. The large order of cheesy bread came out in what seemed like two minutes. The rest of the meals arrived very shortly after. The Hawaiian was perfect and the thin crust crispy but not overly. Everyone liked their meals as well. The service was very cordial even with the order a counter upon entry. Our on duty waitstaff was superb! I ended the meal chatting with family and friends while watching my grandson finish off a chocolate cannoli! We closed down the place for the evening and never felt rushed. We'll be back! read more

This location was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious. The place was very clean, including the restroom. My mom and I enjoyed splitting a large pizza on gluten free crust. We also appreciate hoe the atmosphere is conducive to conversation- they had televisions, but there was a secluded corner by the front window where we could talk and look at the firewheel town center fountain across the square. read more

Absolutely awful service. We ordered online and went to the restaurant 40 min after ordering and they had not even seen or started our order. They said to wait 10 more minutes and we sat waiting 45 min and they still had not started it till we had to ask what was going on then they started our order and said 10 more minutes. Went here with my mom as she was in the mood for some pizza. We ordered Grace's Alfredo without chicken and mushroom and a Philly Steak sandwich. The waiting was pretty decent and was happy to see that they made these meals to order and not like it was already frozen and then reheat. So I didn't mind the waiting time. I added some chili flakes and it was a slice of heaven. Very cheesy and garlicky I just love it so much and the crust was cooked to perfection and delicious. My mom thought the sandwich was okay but really loved the pizza a lot so she went ahead and order a small one for herself for dinner and for my brother. Great staff and great place! read more

I will NOT be returning. We went in on 8/9/24. The service was horrible. There seemed to be teenagers working that need adult supervision and more training on customer service. We ordered our food of kids pasta and bbq pizza pie to go, but we changed to eat at the place because we were hungry. We waited 45 minutes. We asked twice in that time if the food was ready. The employees said it wasn't. We went in not expecting that long of a wait. Meanwhile we had a hungry, screaming toddler. We gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe the food was made fresh. Come to find out that our food was sitting inside the kitchen. The employees didn't notify us and gave the food to us warm. No apologies for the wait or inconvenience. Horrible experience that my family rather eat just right outside instead of the restaurant because of the lack of customer service and carelessness. The menu on line is very misleading. The price for a medium Stromboli is shown to be 11.99. The staff asks what you want on the Stromboli and suddenly the price is 18.00 plus change. Delivery fee and tax is less than 4.00. Where is the other 4.00 coming from. I assume the menu price is for the dough only. What a joke. read more
