Is there such a thing as healthy pizza? Probably not, but Palio's comes pretty close. I recently tried one of their pizzas since I live near their restaurant and have yet to break away from my Nizza Pizza fix. I ordered a large Meditteranean on whole wheat crust. Damn, was that pizza good - loaded with artichokes, tomato, onions, spinch, etc... It was not drowned with either cheese or sauce, so all the ingredients blended in perfectly. The crust was thin and flavorful. I also ordered a small King which had pepperoni, sausage, olives, peppers, etc.. and that was also very good. One thing I noticed was the absence of any grease on top of the pizza - I guess that makes it healthy pizza - just make sure you don't overdo on the beer and wine. read more

We have been here for dinner and lunch now. The first time we came it was a bit slow but the speed has picked up (as we expected). The first time I got a fettucini alfredo and my wife got a pizza. They were both delicious. For lunch, we both got a lunch special. She got a pizza and salad and I got a calzone and salad. For $8.99, this is the best lunch special in Midlothian. The calzone was delicious. The crust was brushed with butter, garlic and Parmesan and the marinara dipping sauce was a good addition. The salad is average. I'm not a big fan of the house dressing (balsamic) but I do like the creamy Italian. read more

Beyond that, their pizza in general is great. The ingredients always taste fresh and the size of the pizza is always more than you can eat. Palios pizza is so good, it's not easy to explain! The price however..... I'm all in for good pizza, heck, if I could, I'd mainline pizza, so we will absolutely be returning. What a cute place! This is how a mom & pop should run. Good food, quality and timely. Hubby loves their sandwiches and kids love the pizza pie. My only complaint is the grease puddles on the pizza. I love them all I always order a managers special which gets you one specialty pizza and then another smaller pizza at a reduced price. We were planning on going to another pizza restaurant that was BYOB, but they are closed on Mondays. I looked on Yelp for another BYOB place to drink our wine and found Palio's. We had never been there, but were extremely glad we found it. We ordered cheese bread and a Caesar salad and both were delicious. For pizzas we ordered The King ( this pizza was loaded with everything) and the Meat and Cheese. Both pizzas were delicious and the wines we brought were good. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good pizza. Service was fast and courteous. read more

This place is seriously so good. I've been twice with my boyfriend once during lunch time, once during dinner time, and each time I was allowed to have the lunch special. There are so many pizza places in this area. This place uses fresh ingredients and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the wait time for the pizza. I have called in a couple of pick up orders and they always tell me at least 45 minutes. This place is never busy so I am not sure why it takes that long to make a cheese pizza. read more

We opted for Palio's because they have Gluten Free Pizza Crust. Which my son , who is a Gluten Free, approved and enjoyed. We got two other pizzas: one a large Cade & Blake with extra chicken on whole wheat crust. Which we also enjoyed. However, on looking at our bill ( and I didn't have any coupons unfortunately) the prices were very high. It seems to be $4-5 extra for Gluten Free crust?!? Plus on the Cade & Blake pizza is supposed to have chicken in their description, but with "extra" chicken there was a very skimpy total amount! And again it seemed to be an extra $ 5 from the menu price. ( from the Online website I couldn't find what extra fees were for " extra" chicken... or for Gluten Free crust.. That being said they have excellent phone service people to take orders, the pizza is good, and the delivery was more prompt than they said it would be. But we felt that the toppings are fairly light, for the price, especially if you ask for extra. read more

As a family of six with multiple food allergies--including gluten--it can be pretty tough for us to eat out at restaurants. Several months ago, we heard that Palio's was offering gluten-free pizza, so we went to try it out. BINGO! We finally found pizza that tastes like REAL pizza. The owner created the recipe herself, and it has a nice flavor and texture. It's thin, but not too thin, and if you want a thicker crust, just ask! All of the employees are careful about food prep areas and are familiar with which toppings do/don't contain gluten. I am highly sensitive to gluten, and I have never gotten sick eating at Palio's. We love this restaurant and eat there at least 2-3 times per month. It's our favorite place in town! read more

Everyone we share Palio's with absolutely falls in love with this place! They cater to celiac (gluten-free) and vegetarian needs while giving your carnivore friends a bunch of meat-lovers options. The crust is seasoned to really bring out the flavors of the toppings and the thin crust style helps keep the calorie count down. My son, who has Celiac, loves it because Palio's isn't like most pizza places only offering tiny, personal sized pizzas as the only gluten-free option. Instead, Palio's offers their full size range to choose from for their gluten-free crust and will happily create your crust to be whatever size you choose. This is the only place he can get a large gluten-free crust.... and we totally take advantage of that ability! If you've never been to Palio's, you NEED to go! read more
