Horrible food for the price. High volume restaurant that is in a strip mall with overpriced clothing stores. Staff and managers are very sterile and fast paced and appear to be worried about everything; it must be easy to get fired here if you make a mistake. Very rushed service, French fries, sandwiches etc. everything one could get at a deli or a franchise restaurant like Chili's or Bennigans. Unless you want to throw money away, I'd skip and go spend where the service isn't neurotically fast and food quality is average and extremely over priced. read more

We visited this restaurant, first impression all the blinds were closed at 3pm in the afternoon extremely dark as if they don't want you to see the cleanliness of the restaurant. We get to are table/high top & there were crumbs all over the floor. Ordered the Ahi tuna "BURGER" that comes with only a bottom bun because the waitress told us they don't give top and bottom because most people discard the bun??? Really? LOL cutting cost & corners sounds more like it. The Ahi Tuna "open faced sandwich" (not burger) was over cooked and something you'd expect at an Ale house chain. French fries are so thinly cut and hard and stale. I called to give feedback and expected to be offered refund after sending back food with no manger coming to our table to check on our meals. Spoke to some very nasty man Alberto or Alfonso... explained the poor experience & he's answer was "leave a bad review then" so that exactly what I'm doing. Update: Whoa the noise! It was hard to have a conversation at the table. We were reduced to lip reading at times. If you want cozy or have a conversation at the table, you'll want to go elsewhere. Very average food at very steep prices. Not sure why it took a half hour to get served drinks. Shrimp cocktail was rubbery and nothing spectacular. Roasted salmon as you can see is rather unimaginatively plated and served without a lemon wedge. The burger was good but @ 26 bucks? The best thing were the French fries, so much better than McDonald's. A very popular WPB chain spot apparently but I don't see why. read more

We were in town for a weekend and came to this well-heeled but semi-casual restaurant for dinner. I really enjoyed the prime rib. The excellent marbling and crusting set this dish apart from your typical steakhouse steaks. The au jus is also great. The key lime pie is rich and almost as thick as cheesecake here. The staff is super attentive and the bartender was happy to mix the random bourbon/rum concoction that I asked for. Just putting your name on the bar waitlist is a good hour faster than getting a reservation online. read more

I've eaten here twice and both times were great. The oyster appetizer is off the hook awesome, I had a rib steak which was a special and it was perfectly prepared as to temperature and seasoning. The wine list is adequate nothing special, try the California ZD Cabernet great wine. The key lime pie was good. Be prepared to wait even with a reservation. Although PB Grill is a part of a chain, I would not have guessed so by the flavor and presentation of their food. This was another Concierge work dinner and previously, when looking at their menu, it didn't come off as appealing, however, the food in person doesn't not match that. I was blown away at how they presented basic everyday menu items but, what really impressed me, was the Cajun flavors of their menu items. It wasn't something I expected for the PB Island tase. I will keep going back and recommend PBG to guests and friends. I wish I had pictures from when I went (if I find some I'll post it). Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Friendly service and delicious Cabernet by the glass. We ordered salmon with coleslaw and french fries . They ask how you would like your salmon cooked. I have never been asked this before but apparently they cook it medium rare so it's still a bit soft/raw in the center. I got it medium and to me it was perfect. Still soft but not raw. The "fries" were a wee bit disappointing. They are more like crispy potato strings. We also had the roasted chicken that came with a very interesting and delicious nutty, veggie wild rice side. Being from California , it was nice to dress up again and sit in a restaurant with tablecloths after not being able to for so long. Tonight, we ate at the Palm Beach Grill located in the Royal Poinciana Way. We had heard good things about this place earlier in the day. Believe it or not, their hot dog and ribs were supposed to be outstanding. We ordered drinks and my first pet peeve was triggered. They gave me a bottle of 6 ¾ ounce Diet Coke for $5. I know it's only $5 but I hate when places rip you off like this. We ordered the deviled eggs. They brought over 3 halves...c'mon, eggs are reasonably priced again. They had celery and relish in them but I couldn't taste the deviled part. Funny thing is that this was the only dish not overly spiced with black and red pepper. Both plate presentations came with a good amount of food arranged nicely. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures because I wasn't expecting issue's with the manager. I heard the hot dog had a natural casing. I heard wrong. The foot long kosher dog was laying in a soft poppy seeded bun which was brushed with a thin layer of somewhat spicy chili, onions and yellow mustard. It came with hot shoestring fries, a lot of Cole slaw and 1 half deviled egg. The slaw was tasty and the meal was OK. It would have been much better with a natural casing dog. Spicy Mayo and ketchup came with the meal. They specifically said the mustard was French's yellow mustard. That's not something I would brag about. My wife ordered the ribs. She loves ribs...but not these. They brag about them falling off the bone. That is actually overcooked but not a big deal. The rub or sauce they use is very high in black pepper. She barely ate any. After eating a few ribs, my wife said the spicy aroma wafted up into her nasal pasages and she had a hard time breathing. I ate most of her entree and I could feel the black pepper piperine in my mouth a half hour after eating the ribs. We ate at the bar. The bartender asked about the meals and my wife voiced her displeasure with the ribs. The bartender said she would let the manager know. A little over 15 minutes later, the manager came over to confront us. We just wanted her to know the food was spicy. We were not confrontational. She was. Her name is Brook, and she shouldn't be managing a restaurant. She said we should have said something earlier, but the bartenders were busy and didn't come by. My wife agreed but then Brook, in a loud nasty voice said that she heard that my wife didn't like Palm Beach Grills sister restaurant chain, Houstons. My wife said that we heard that this was a step above the rest of the chain. Brook, then snapped rudely that the Palm Beach Grill was just like the others in their chain. I gave her a credit card and she set the card on the table. Nothing was comped and she stormed off after running the card. I worked in the hospitality business longer than this "manager" has been alive. She really pissed me off . I could have punished the bartenders but that would have made two wrongs. I left a very good tip for them. We departed the Palm Beach Grill, never to return. I like being able to write a review even though I know I will be reprimanded by those who think the customer is always wrong and I'm pretty sure that the restaurant won't care or change the way they deal with unhappy customers. read more

I am sadly typing this at the airport as I am awaiting to board my JetBlue flight back to the wintry New York. Yesterday night was my fifth and last night in Florida, after staying in Boca Raton for a few days for work and 2 short days in West Palm Beach for leisure. It was quite cold on our last day, even rained during the afternoon unfortunately, but it's not going to stop us from trying out some restaurants! My boyfriend and I decided to take a short 15 minute drive from the Hawthorn Suites in West Palm Beach, where we were staying, to Palm Beach Grill in, yes you guessed right - Palm Beach! We arrived around 9:30pm and the place was jam packed and poppin! Elderly and the young both hang out here apparently and it was surprising to see some wrinkle-free faces for a change! Lol jk (not kidding). They weren't taking anyone at the tables by the time we arrived so we had to sit at the bar, but Rebecca the bartender took care of us with an extremely friendly and welcoming smile and Ivan ensured that everything was okay. We ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna salad for appetizer and although it was a tad pricey it was divine and very worth it! The salad was so fresh and the dressing was exceptionally refreshing and tasty. My bf ordered the pork ribs for his entree, which came with 2 sides of coleslaw and mashed potato and I went for the rotisserie chicken with a side of kale salad. The meal was perfect. The meat on his ribs fell straight off of the bone and my chicken was really moist. I also LOVED the kale salad. It isn't easy making simple dishes tasty and they managed to do that with a kale salad that constituted only kale and peanuts. I'm glad we ended our trip with dinner at Palm Beach Grill. I had gone there for dinner yesterday with friends as it was my husband'a birthday. The hostess promised to make a note of it and present us with a piece of cake and a birthday candle. This was done at the time of making the reservation. When we arrived there, we were asked to wait until our guests arrived despite having no place to sit . After standing for a while. My husband spoke to one of the managers who found our table and allowed us to sit harping on the fact that he was going us a favor. The cocktail that we wanted was not on the menu but unlike many other restaurants they were not willing to mix and match. There food was good and the service was good as well . This is a Hillstone restaurant, they are top notch, beautiful locations, and excellent menus. I was looking forward to this dinner with friends, but it didn't turn out too well for me. First the waitress brought us two appetizers we didn't request, we felt badly, so we kept one but returned the other. And then for our main meal, everybody was very happy with their selection, steak, broccolini, fries, and I ordered shrimp creole with rice. I've ordered shrimp, creole many times, and it looked fantastic, however, when I tasted it, I realized it had cream. I happen to be lactose intolerant. The menu did not say that it had any milk ingredient. I asked the waitress who checked with the kitchen and, indeed, it had milk. The bit that I ate affected me terribly. I thought ordering a focaccia would help my stomach, but it turns out that their focaccia is just three big pieces of bread served with a couple of almonds, a few olives, and a slice of white cheese. I really wanted it to be a great dining experience. I think it was just my bad luck, but I'm going to suggest you check the ingredients if you have any type of allergy. In many restaurants they'll ask you ahead of time to make sure you don't order something that could make you sick. The restaurant is beautiful, the servers are very polite, I hope you have a better experience than me. read more

Came here with such high hopes, highly recommended by friends and yelp reviews. Made a reservation a month in advance, we waited almost 45 min after our reservation time, they recommended we sit by the bar to wait but it was packed and there wasn't even waiting room inside. Inside is nice, lighting is dark, noticed lots of people using their cell phones flashlights. We ordered a couple of appetizers and for the main course I had the ribs. The staff was amazing, our waiter was attentive and efficient. Food was good, maybe we had a really high expectation? Food, Service, Decor top notch 5 stars. Shrimp Cocktail best ever. Hillstone Group best restaurant chain in the country. My concern though is the night we were there 75% of waiters weren't wearing masks and every table was full. The restaurant is set-up with nice spacing between tables and is comfortable but restaurant didn't seem to reduce the capacity. Virus Cases in FL have been spiking for last few weeks so surprised restaurant wasn't following suggested or required guidelines. I go to Hillstone restaurants because I always thought they would be the safest environments as they are so well run. The restaurants themselves are so consistently excellent for Food, Service and comfortable seating that I will still frequent PBG, Honor Bar and Houstons but I hope they will be more careful until things get back to normal as I am such a big fan. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to spend a few days in Palm Beach, and because we saw great reviews for Palm Beach Grill online, we decided to give it a try. Long story short: we were not disappointed! The ambience is romantic, fun, and great for dates. At the same time it's not TOO quiet and maintains a fun atmosphere. The food was great! We had fried oysters to start and they were probably the best fried oysters I've ever had. The batter was light and not too oily, the oysters didn't taste bad / slimy, but still maintained their oyster flavor, and the creamed spinach on the bottom of the shell was a great complement. My girlfriend got the red snapper with rock shrimp which was fantastic. I got the pork ribs with peanuts and it was good too. Service was great - our waitress was very attentive, quick, and helpful. Service highlight: Although it can be perceived as relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things, when our waitress made an error on our credit cards by charging the wrong amount, my date and I very much appreciated the executive chef come out and apologize on behalf of the restaurant. We felt that messing up credit card charges happen sometimes and we did not fault them for it, but the chef coming out to apologize was above and beyond normal restaurant service. For a Palm Beach eatery, very reasonable and tasty. We went for Valentines and were actually able to order off the menu, which was amazing. The menu selection is not huge, but they serve GOOD food. Plus you can buy a bottle of GOOD wine for a reasonable price ($60- this brand usually retails for $40+ in a wine shop). However...mixed drinks were disappointing. The old fashioned looked like a Shirley Temple with bourbon. Not classy PBG (aka Houston's as Palm Beach couldn't possibly allow a chain on their island). A restaurant with cloth napkins with a full mixed drinks bar- should know how to properly make an old fashioned with craft ice cubes & Luxor cherries. read more

Oh my goodness is all I have to say about this place. It is SO good. Now, there aren't a lot of spots to eat at in Palm Beach. Granted, that number has seemed to grow over the last few years, but still, there's not a ton of restaurants to choose from. My whole family was in town so we decided to go out to dinner together since we don't get to do it that often. Here's where Palm Beach Grill came in. We made reservations and were seated immediately when we came in. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but several tables were full. I am pretty sure we were the biggest party at the place at the time. Anyway, so we started with a few items. We got the hot dog as an appetizer and wow, who would have thought that you could actually be super impressed by a hot dog? Well, I was surprised. The hot dog was massive and it came with perfectly fried French fries. Sometimes fries are too crispy or too soggy, but these were just right. I got chicken as my meal and really liked it. It was seasoned really well and was pretty juicy. Ultimately I really think the hot dog was the winner for me, but PB Grill has a little something for everybody and also has a really relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to dine in PB but not feel like they were at a restaurant that was too hoity toity. read more

Was there for a birthday celebration last night (8/20/22) at 7:00pm, looked forward to it as I had been there only once 4 years ago and had a great time; this year...not so much. The venue and location is appealing although as soon as we entered the minuscule greeting area we were assaulted by a cacophony of ear-splitting, headache invoking, noise resulting from the place being jammed; I hate that although, to my thinking it portended a great dining experience to come; I was wrong. We were seated in a location where the setting sun coming through the slotted blinds on the window was annoying, we were told nothing could be done about it - strike one. The menu, at best, was uninspiring! Deviled Eggs? Cheeseburger (made from ground chuck)? A COSTCO style hot dog? Ugh! Such plebeian fare in, of all places PALM BEACH?? Very disappointing - strike 2. To their credit the shrimp were excellent and the biggest I've seen since dining in Taiwan. The Cedar Plank Salmon and the French Dip Au Jus were all very well done...although at exceedingly lofty pricing; well, it's Palm Beach, don't forget; if ya wants to mix and mingle you gots to pay; however, if you want better value for the big bucks this is not the place; I mean $18 for a hot dog and $26 for a ground chuck cheeseburger? C'mon man! The deserts were good, I had a very nice banana cream pie and wanted decaf coffee, they did not have decaf coffee!!! Huh? What upscale restaurant, as PBG purports to be, does not have decaf coffee; huh? Big disappointment. Strike 3. If you are not a "regular" reconsider... The "Ghost" is back for a LONG sabbatical (thanks all my fans for your continued support). There is nothing that motivates a review more than crappy food that horrible service. The Ghost has always been a reserved "Palm Beach Grill" fan. The food is "uninspired" (not terribly creative) but always prepared well with good service. The prices are actually "reasonable" of Palm Beach Island. The days of "no corkage" are a thing of the past (at one time the BEST deal on the Island - bar none). The Ghost was at a business meeting on the Island and stopped for a drink before heading home. The bar was half filled (not a large bar). Three bartenders (it looked like) for about 10 people. The Ghost took a seat at the bar. Passed a couple dozen time over 10 minutes (no water, no smile, not even a single look from the bartenders). The worst thing... no reason. The Ghost picked up, and at the reception desk ask for the manager. The manager seemed "clueless" (I guess that makes sense). Upon explaining the absence of service, the manage offered a "gift certificate" that the Ghost perfunctorily refused (the Ghost NEVER takes comps for bad service). This was a "classy" place at one point. It seems like they are no longer trying. Too bad. The Ghost never says "don't go there". Things change... people change... bartenders change... managers change. My advice "wait a year". Maybe they will get it and retrain their staff. If you are a regular it might be better. If you are a visitor... well take your chance. The Ghost is back and will be writing a series on the best "happy hours" on the Island. Stay tuned. read more

A new experience at this otherwise great restaurant - they now ask you to leave.. We had a reservation for 4 people at 6.15pm and by 8.20pm we had just had our lovely desserts and coffee and had paid the check - and the manager appeared at our table and notified us that the restaurant allows 1.5 hours for a table for dining and that they needed the table... This is a downer and it would be much better if this restaurant would do their bookings a little less aggressively in order to leave a table or two for diners that are used to dine in comfort and without time pressure.. I am sure that many people may eat in an hour or an hour and a half but there are surely others that don't. read more

So I went for my birthday a few months ago and let me tell you after going to the "best" steak house in Fort Lauderdale which was the worst. I ended up here and it was the best steak I've had in a long while. The gentleman Nelson was five stars from start to finish. Took my wife to Palm Beach Grill a couple of weeks ago on a long weekend. It was her first time. Her response, "This redefines for me what a good restaurant is." Now this is a woman who has eaten in many excellent restaurants all over the United States and abroad. High praise. The environment is upscale, but relaxed. Service exceptional. Very good wine list with reasonable prices. The food is all exceptional. We started by sharing the Classic Caesar Salad which was perfectly presented with just the right amount of dressing. Our main course was the Florida Red Snapper with Rock Shrimp and the Filet cooked rare. Perfection. We finished with the Hot Fudge Sundae which was recommended by our waiter. My wife was hesitant because she doesn't like hot fudge sundaes but she went with it because when we first arrived she ran into some kitchen staff on the way to the restroom and they told her, "Dessert" when she asked what's a can't miss on the menu. Turns out they were the pastry chefs--but they weren't wrong! Everything about our experience was exceptional. Highly recommend! read more

I genuinely like the food but there are some issues to note. 1. Parties of 5 will be seated at a table for 4. It is appalling and unworkable effectively ruining dinner. Do not go as a party of 5!!! 2. Prices are very high and even higher than other Hillstone locations. For example, corkage in Boca Raton at Houston's is $15 in Palm Beach it is $25. Every dish is bit more compared to the same dish in Boca. 3. Items and wines can be out of stock. I like the place but think they are really taking advantage any chance they get. read more
