We made a reservation and no one mentioned a dress code. We got there for our 7pm reservation and they finally went to seat us at 7:30. Sidney the manager said I couldn't eat there because I had flip flops. I most certainly did not have flip flops and showed her my dress sandals. She said it's on their website and it says Flip Floos! Well if you have a dress code it should be on the front page. You have to go to contacts to see their dress code. She was very rude and condescending and I will never eat there. Palm Beach grill is part of the Houston's/Hillstone restaurant group and does not fail to deliver on their great reputation. We have been to this location 3 times now and it has been fantastic each time. This trip, my girlfriend and I ordered the kale salads -delicious and maybe our favorite salad ever - to start before sharing the Cajun shrimp for dinner. The Cajun shrimp dish comes out in a pan over rice and the flavors are phenomenal. I wish they delivered more triangles of toasted bread to soak up all the broth afterwards. To finish, we shared the banana cream pie which was good but not great. The portion was large and look beautiful but the dish itself left something to be desired. In the past we have ordered the sundae which gets more favorable reviews. We were able to call the day of our dinner to secure a reservation but this was during the 'off season'. During the winter, be prepared to call many weeks in advance to secure a table. The wait staff is always kind and pleasant. We look forward to eating here again. read more

There is an ambiance in this place that is so comforting and inviting. The food is a little expensive but not overly so. I just love this place. My husband and I discovered it by accident and what a pleasant surprise. We ate at the bar and it was so casual. Had lovely conversation with the couple next to us. There is no pretension but yet it is an upscale place. The shrimp creole is delicious. I love going there. We live in Hobe Sound so it's a little bit of a drive but it's worth it. Excellent service. I have only good things to say about this restaurant. It was just as good as when I visited 2 years ago. The Ahi Tuna Salad was fantastic- especially the mango, avocado, and tuna. Salmon is the best I've had in my life- and it is my favorite food. Cooked perfectly. Stopped in here after an auto show on Sunday around 12:30. This grill has some of the Best Food on the island..!! The place was very busy so I walked into the Honor Bar and found a few open bar seats. The bartender was very friendly and she recommended the chicken sandwich. It really hit the spot.!! The huge delicious sandwich had the perfect ingredients and sauce cut into 3 large slices.. A Chimay beer on tap was a perfect match with this sandwich. When I first sat down at the bar, next to a young uptight Palm Beacher, she didn't respond when I greeted her with a good afternoon. Her cell phone texting was so important to her...LOL. Picked this place at random and glad we did Small cozy place dark very romantic type place Get sat and ordered wine which was well priced Ordered Caesar's and wife ordered the Dover and I had the prime rib Over all the food was excellent my wife raved about the Dover being pan seared nicely. I was looking forward to this restaurant given the good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not up to par in comparison to others. Service- the waitress was extremely pleasant and meant well but was unsure of the specials and struggled to interject with check-ins. Drinks- Our drink was brought out incorrectly twice. The second time we gave in and just drank it. Food- My salmon was raw in the middle and shoestrings fries were served cold. We're staying about 20 minutes away, and we were told reservations were impossible. This area has a lot of older folks, so we figure by 830 we're golden. We got here around 8, had a few drinks and watched the open kitchen do there thing. And they are killing it. We were told this was a Houstons, but it was much better. Shrimp cocktail had 5 nice size pieces with cocktail sauce and it was the sauce that usually comes with stone crab. We also had the smoked salmon app. This was killer. For dinner we shared the chicken, really good, moist good glaze, but not over powering. We also got the ribs, they were really good, I just prefer a drier rub ( Kansas City style) No desert, we were too full. The service was top notch, the bartenders full of energy, great martini. This has gotta be the best spot in Palm Beach, not just for the food (which is truly excellent) but also for the experience. It's always full of hip, well-heeled and/or well-dressed folks...true, it skews toward an older crowd, but the ambiance is on point, and the lively bar is invariably a "scene". Both times we visited, we didn't have a reservation. We just showed up and asked what was available. The first time, we were told we could put our names on the bar/high-top waiting list. Which we did, and stood drinking around the bar while we waited. We wound up eating at one of the three high-tops, which was actually awesome because you have a full view of the restaurant, including the lively bar. The second time (in low season) we were actually offered a table right off the gun, but opted instead to wait for a high-top since we enjoyed it so much the first time. We didn't mind having to wait around the bar again while we enjoyed fabulous cocktails. There are a variety of yummies to choose from (including unusual options such as an omelette for dinner, and a hot dog) but here is my suggestion for a fabulous meal: *Wedge salad...perfectly executed with bacon, tomatoes and blue cheese *Filet mignon served with mashed potatoes and bearnaise sauce *Hot fudge sundae! Don't slip & fall on the greasy floor between the open kitchen & the tables! And don't expect the staff to care! I fell so hard my leg & hip were bruised along with a giant bump when I smacked my head. The person seating us put the menus down & walked off, no acknowledgment and no apologies. My friend was on the floor trying to help me and kept asking all through dinner if I was ok. Nothing from the staff. When I called the next day after seeing all my bruises, only to say "they should be careful there are older people dining there that could be permanently affected with a shattered hip". This restaurant has some of my favorite foods in the area! We normally order take out from here because it tastes and looks just as good as eating in house, however they don't offer seafood to go so keep that in mind. Decided to dine in on a Saturday night with a reservation because it can get busy. Waited at the bar for drinks until our table was ready, which was nice because we got to see inside the kitchen as they prepared meals. Once at our table, we ordered our favorites which include: Oysters St. Charles, Grilled Artichoke and Caesar/PBG dinner salad. These fried oysters are the best I've EVER had...truly amazing, I highly recommend. For dinner we tried the Creole Jumbo Shrimp, Hot Dog, Filet and Dover Sole with a side of creamed corn (but we normally order the French Dip which is also incredible). Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Nothing on the menu disappoints because you're definitely paying for it! read more

We were the youngest thing in there without a legal guardian. The food. The food is spot on. I had the pork chop and the fudge Sunday. I can't describe my delight. Just so you are aware, this is a dress up type of restaurant. My coworker and I came as is and felt very underdressed but extremely comfortable. My family and I have always loved coming to Palm Beach Grill when we come to Palm Beach for vacation. However, our experience tonight was not so great. The food was excellent but the service was substandard. Our waitress did not follow certain requests and was very inattentive. It took over 30 minutes to get a caesar salad that was meant to be an appetizer and it came out with the dinner even though we specifically requested it to come out before dinner. We asked for melted butter and were given two unmelted slabs of butter on a plate. Then, when we were asked about dessert she only took one of our orders and proceeded to walk away without asking the rest of us if we wanted anything. Very disappointed. read more

We had an excellent experience here on a recent Saturday night, our last stop after drinking and "snacking" at a couple of other places. We started with wonderful drinks and the grilled/roasted artichoke served with a dipping sauce. Different and tasty too. We ordered three different entrees; Crab cake salad served with citrus and avocado, very tasty ribs, and a cheeseburger medium with grilled onions. No need to discuss each item as they were all delivered exactly as ordered and perfectly prepared. Some may consider this place "pricey" but actually for the quality of food prep and service it's actually a fabulous value. My top quality large cheeseburger was served with a very ample portion of fries and two red ripe tomato slices, perfect lettuce and two different dipping sauces at $17.00 is a bargain. Notable perks; hot hand towels between each course and my wife's half finished Martini poured into a new chilled glass! That was an impressive touch. This place has a wonderful vibe going on. Palm Beach Grill does not disappoint. As a first timer, I wasn't sure if I should go with a dish that I'm familiar with, or try something new. I've never had seared ahi tuna before... so i decided to go with the seared ahi tuna salad. It was delicious and satisfying. My boyfriend got the salmon dish which was also amazing and cooked to perfection. We went for dinner and it was dimly lit with a romantic feel.
