Palm Construction replaced my 40+ year old shingle roof. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Avi my project manager was thorough and paid attention to detail. He even looked for ways to save on the cost. I now have a new roof, brought up to current standards. Every person who assisted on this job was professional and exemplary. It was especially nice to have teams to do their specific jobs ie, roofers, solar engineers etc. When everything was finished they cleaned up well and checked to make sure everything was in place. I couldn't be more pleased. Avi oversaw it all and made sure it was all done properly. They were prompt and had my roof finished in 4 days, including removal of the solar panels and replacing them. I originally requested a quote for stucco work. Since the price seemed reasonable I went with Palm. As the work was being done, I was talked into have the entire exterior of my house painted, including the eaves. This tripled the price. I negotiated a couple of extra things since I thought that price was too high, and they would not budge on the price. Long story short, the paint is already peeling. The quality of the work was horrible. It has only been about 6 months. There are gaps in the trim work. Whenever they return to repair it, they do the bare minimum, and it ends up looking horrible again after a couple weeks. I paid a premium price for this work that is low quality. I will not be hiring this company again. I would add photos if I could. read more

I usually use Yelp to celebrate small businesses (no 1 stars), but I'm pretty frustrated and I see I'm not the only one who has given them this feedback. A representative form this company knocked on my door unsolicited and asked if he could give me a quote for my driveway. I told him I had several other companies already give me quotes in the past few years, so I knew what the cost would be, but if his company could give me a better deal, we could talk. He asks for my name and if I'm single or married. I ask why that is relevant for a quote. "It's just on the form." Then the company calls me to confirm the estimate appointment and tells me that me and my spouse need to be home for the estimate appointment. I own a primary and rental home, have remodeled both, and dealt with likely 60-80 contractors / home workers in the last 15 years. I've never had a company tell me I need my husband present for a quote. On top of that, you are sending out a male representative unannounced to basically ask a female at the door if she lives alone or not, which is a wild thing to be doing for safety reasons when the homeowner has no idea if this is a legitimate company or not, just because someone knocked on their door with a logo'd shirt on. read more

Don't enter your phone number on the website when requesting a quote or info. You will receive multiple sales calls a day for weeks despite requesting removal from sales lists. Sooooo annoying. If they can't handle removing a number from the sales department, I won't trust them my home. read more

It is good enough. I had a gas fireplace and wall removed, flooring redone, and wanted to have a closet/pantry built-in. I'm impressed with Palm Construction and Liel (Lee) Trabelsi. The project was a R & R, Remove and Replace, front staircase and upper deck. They reused the staircase Trex, along with the handrail on the staircase and upper deck, replaced the Spanish tile on the upper deck and entryway with new 1x6 Trex. Replaced all wood structure with PT lumber. Lee stated the project would be completed in 12-14 days, they finished in10! Lee stayed in communication through the whole project. Ronen was our field supervisor on the project which included the driveway(pavers) and pool hardscape(pavers). The workers were so professional and did a wonderful job. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT! I have been dealing with Palm Construction for over a year now and have FINALLY gotten somewhere on the crappy job they did on my house so I'm able to update my review. First, you should know that since I posted my first review, all Palm Construction has tried to do is silence me and make me REMOVE MY YELP REVIEW. Palm Construction admitted verbally but not in writing that the job was not done properly and offered me a refund only if I removed my Yelp review and withdrew my CSLB complaint. I know for a fact Palm Construction has forced others to remove their Yelp review so the customer could recover damages caused by Palm Construction (see Joe S. review from 5/1/2023 on San Lorenzo Yelp page). Because I refused to do these 2 things, Palm Construction would not cancel the construction loan. I had to find other ways to recover damages without caving into Palm Construction's demand to remove my review. Clearly Palm Construction gets the majority of their business from Yelp because I wrote reviews on multiple other sites and the only review they wanted removed was from Yelp. Palm Construction has 4 different Yelp pages that I know of- Santee, Mission Hills, San Lorenzo in CA, and Kent, WA. Visit these different pages for yourself and you'll see a pattern not only in the complaints, but also that every time Palm Construction gets a bad review, 5-star reviews flood in shortly after to bring the overall rating back up. When I wrote my 1st review a year ago, they had 12 "recommended" reviews and the bad ones were people who just had a consultation and didn't use them. And when the Palm Construction owner replied to my post, he tried to make it seem like he didn't know who I was after I had just spoke with the office manager and refused to remove my Yelp review, and this was done to several other persons who also posted negative reviews. But miraculously Palm Construction received ten 5-star reviews over the next 30 days. They also have a lot of "not recommended" because Yelp didn't find them credible. In August, I saw a 5-star review posted by Koral B on the Santee page with a thank you message from the owner Guy Z. The reviewer's name and picture looked familiar, and it was because it was Palm Construction's "Quality Manager" who had been at my house for 2 hours in June 2O22. I reported this review to Yelp with my proof she was PALM'S EMPLOYEE, and you can see it is still showing removed for violating guidelines. If a company is willing to have their own employees write reviews for them what does that tell you about the company? Lookup Palm Construction's License on CSLB website and if you click on other licenses, you will see that the 3 licenses they have are under 3 different license holders and there are multiple companies listed under each license. The General B license is associated with 2 other companies which have complaints/violations for departing from trade standards. Something else I learned through this process is it's very hard to get a negative mark on a Contractor's license as the system that is supposed to protect the consumer seems to protect the contractor. You don't get to see all the active complaints against Palm Construction and the state is 5-6 months behind on investigations because of Covid. When the review process started with CSLB mediation, I filed a claim against Palm Construction's bond company who delayed a decision because Palm Construction kept saying they wanted to fix the house and I wouldn't let them which was a complete lie. Email after email I said come fix it, but you must use qualified employees or licensed subcontractors, and never once did they try and schedule to come back (probably because they have neither). Before the next deadline for a decision from the bond company, a 2nd person filed a claim, and then a few weeks later a 3rd person filed a claim. The bond company ended up filing an interpleader with the court and the hearing is scheduled for 2024. Luckily, I finally got an investigator assigned in January 2O23 and she referred us to arbitration. The state's Construction Expert found that the work done by Palm Construction did not meet industry trade standards. After the arbitration award, Palm Construction did send me a check to reimburse me for the roof repairs and my out-of-pocket administrative costs upon notice of my intent to file a small claims suit against them. I didn't sign a confidentiality agreement with Palm Construction, so I am able to warn others about Palm Construction's shady practices. Palm Construction had no interest in making me a happy customer which is why I have gone through so much to make sure I could post this update. From the sales guy to the CEO and everyone in between, Palm Construction has lied and deceived everyone who has been involved in the process to try and make me look bad and get out of taking responsibility. read more

This is an update on prior review. The company as a whole is fine. This is soley based on the project manager Asi who became a problem toward the end of the job. He does not appear to be very knowledgeable on large jobs. His command of English is poor. He would forget about items we discussed and had to be reminded to follow through. I would never want to work with him again. I think he did a bait and switch on the turf he used on my project. What I got is not the sample I was shown. He continuously tried to upsale us on unnecessary work. His level of professionalism reached an all time low when he threatened to put a lein on our property. A total dick!!! I hired Mordechi from Palm Construction to perform a complete roof replacement to include faschia board, gutters, flashing, and damaged wood. Also in the project was stucco replacement and re-drwyall + paint of a basement room. All in the price was 20K less than competitors and they were able to accomplish within 1 week of scheduling. Competitors were delayed at least 3 months. As they are licensed in Masonry, General Contracting, and Painting and Building - they were able to service all needs in a streamlined and efficient manner from which other competitors will not. I will be leaving San Diego and turning this house into a rental, so the quality work performed has given me peace of mind. I was initially referred to Palm Construction via Angi's list, but I recommend you go them directly. Mordechi even identified an error from a competitors quote and work which would have risk the foundation of the home, the competitor was not licensed in masonry, so this advice potentially saved me well over 100s of thousands of dollars in the future. Would give beyond 5 stars if possible. read more

I used Palm Construction to install my rain gutters a couple of years ago. I noticed this winter that there was some leakage at a connection point, as well as some rusting of the gutter screens. I spoke to Debbie in Customer Service and sent her pictures depicting my issues. She sent Victor out to my house to assess the situation within a few days. He made arrangements to send Arturo out and replace all the screens with a better quality of screen and fixed the leakage that was happening at a connection point. Victor and Arturo were amazing. They did the job and cleaned up pretty well. I was totally impressed with this company and how they stood by their work. I didn't have to argue at all and they didn't charge me anything. Our older home was having rot and termite issues on the fascia board due to water coming off the roof without gutters. Upon further inspection of the issues with Palm we determined that our simple fascia board replacement project needed more and it was at that point that I knew we had picked the right company. Palm was able to take care of our fascia board, the undersheathing (which was also showing rot in places because of roof issues), the painting, the gutters and our roof repairs. They listened carefully to our long term goals for our home and together we came up with a project plan that fit those goals. They also helped us secure some extra financing which we really appreciated! Their cleanliness was top notch. We had 3 dogs and despite lots of roofing nails falling during the demo, not one of our dogs got any nails in their paws which is a testament to their excellent work during their daily clean up. The gutter portion of our job was not straight forward. For years our yard has flooded from water pouring off the roof in weird places, even with the smallest rainfall, so getting this part right was paramount. They made all the adjustments we asked for to make our yard flood free and we are so happy that we no longer have to worry! During the project we also requested a change order. The change order wouldn't have been possible without their active oversight of our project. We had a group text chat which facilitated ease of communication between us and them and Lee their Field Supervisor was on-site regularly to check on progress and to meet with us to ensure that the project was going as planned. Lee would address any issues immediately and he'd always follow up on a timely basis. We seriously can't say enough good things about Lee, he is a consummate professional and really cared about the outcome of our project. Palm Construction is lucky to have Lee on their team! It was time to upgrade the kitchen as 23 year old appliances started to die. I found Palm Construction that did the most incredible job. I found a photo online of what I wanted it to look like, handed it to Elad who went to work, sourced just the right materials, lined up the crews and replaced the flooring and then the large countertops. I had them out for an estimate, which they said could only be done after a foundation inspection. They charged $500 for less than 1 hour of looking at things. They then gave me an astronomical quote for the work, including things I'm sure weren't needed. Then they called me repeatedly even though I told them I was getting more estimates and wasn't ready to commit to them doing the work. I feel ripped off and harassed. Our entire home needed a repaint. Leoni had sent us two professionals who were very friendly and effective. They estimated a time of 7 days but complete in 4 and that was after is gave them the incorrect paint colors. We also got our medicine cabinets installed which requieres electrical. We had our entire front yard transformed from grass , (mostly weeds) to Drought Tolerant Landscaping.
