We had a great experience working with Palm Construction to replace our hardwood roof deck with composite. We found them through the Trex website as a recommended installer, and they were quick to respond--someone came out the very next day (on a Sunday!) to take measurements. Eden, the construction manager, was fantastic throughout. He helped us choose the right color and provided three different quotes based on material tiers and optional upgrades like lights and railings. The crew showed up on time every day and actually finished the project faster than expected. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to stay in touch. Eden was always available by phone or text, which made a big difference--communication is often where things fall apart with contractors, but not here. He was flexible with changes and genuinely seemed focused on making sure we were happy with the final result. 2025-May-21: I spoke too soon about Palm Construction's work being satisfactory: [1] A crack has appeared across the full width of the terrace (picts), ie, the concrete bed has broken in two! I now learn that the concrete should have been reinforced (rebar) or that polymer concrete (better adhesion, more flexibility) should have been used instead. Apparently, the entire terrace now needs to be ripped up and redone. Who will pay for this? [2] The siding has lifted in half a dozen spots (eg, pict), and evidently it was incorrectly installed as well. Palm is some sort of franchise operation. The local Hesperian Blvd branch was painful to work with and now, evidently, is also broadly incompetent. Stay tuned for further developments . . . BTW: The job is in Mill Valley, not the Tenderloin. ======== 2025-May-11: My experience with Palm Construction was mixed. The job was replacing damaged siding on part of my house and re-setting a flagstone terrace in cement. The Hispanic crews were good, and thanks to them the work was decently completed, and I simply had to trust them because mostly there was no one on site who spoke English. The high-pressure salesman who got me to sign before I was ready, turned out to be Project Manager. The existing siding (left below) was removed on the damaged side, and he then offered me one after another sample of totally different siding (eg, right), inanely proposed to match the rest of the house. Only when I had a signed Cancellation of Contract in hand was he (or his boss) motivated to actually locate siding that was at least similar, though not matching. Besides this, his 'management' was mainly hectoring me for each payment as though I were a deadbeat. Although the result was OK, getting there was not. Imagine: a side of my house is demo'ed and the (false) choice I'm given is destroying its look & value with a giant patch or - though otherwise unnecessary - re-siding the entire house. Working with Palm was a disappointing and acutely unpleasant experience I would not repeat. BTW: Before going public, I complained to Palm, as above but, consistent with their behavior during the project, got no response. read more

I would like to give a shout out to Andrew with Palm construction about how very unprofessional him and his staff are when it comes to being told to stop calling someone, or that someone is not interested in services! I received a phone call this morning from another one of the employees before speaking with Andrew and I told the person that I have received too many phone calls from roofing companies and construction companies for quotes to which the response from the person on the other end was "but this is the first time OUR company has reached out to you" to which I hung the phone up on them. About 2 minutes afterwards I received not one or two back-to-back phone calls from Palm Construction, but 9 phone calls until I finally picked up the phone and spoke to Andrew and he provided me with his company information so that I can write this review! It strikes me as VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to call somebody like this after being told I am not interested in any services! I called every number they called me from, and they all said that the number has been changed. Be cautious with companies like this that treat you this way when they are told no! read more

I am beyond pissed at this company. Their door to door marketer was caught creeping around my house. He didn't come up to my door. He went between my cars/rv to my back gate. I'm beyond pissed off at this intrusion. Reporting to BBB and anywhere I can make a complaint. I have pictures and a flyer I made him give me. I asked for a business card and he had no idea what that was. I called Palm and they asked for the person's name and said it should be on the flyer. PFT Get your act together. This is an unbelievable violation! BTW - they didn't even ask me anything about what area I was in or my address. Their rep came by and offered to give me an estimate on renovation services. I said sure and he said the office needed to call my cellphone immediately to confirm I gave them a legit number. I talked to their office staff on the phone and they said that my husband must be on site at the time of the appointment to give his input otherwise they will not come out to give an estimate. I've never had any contractors require that I get permission from my husband before I can decide on renovations. read more

We are new homeowners and Palm Construction came to our door. We were getting a little tired of solicitors but decided to hear them out because we had multiple stucco cracks around the house. Tom was really great about explaining the process and even though a little more expensive than we expected, the financing process was easy and they were respectful about giving us space to discuss before we made a decision. I appreciated our painting team and foreman on site in hearing what our ultimate goal for this job was (all the cracks to sealed) and how they cleaned up after themselves and when we noticed something they missed they were happy to fix it. They also executed the job of fixing our stucco and priming and painting our house in less than a week. Tom also brought us coffee the first day of the job which was a super kind gesture and made us feel special. With every job there are always questions and concerns, and I was grateful that when we did bring up a concern, our questions were answered promptly and they gave us their advice on what would look best when we weren't sure since we have never done this before. We did a huge job with Palm and they are one of the worst companies I've ever worked with. They were one of more expensive quotes we received and took about 3-4x longer than projected. They hire subcontractors but do not supervise their work. I was originally told my project manager would be on site everyday. They would come once a week at best. As a result, the quality of work of terrible. Stuff you can't see would be "finished" by the subcontractor, but in reality has just been started, but our project manager insisted we didn't need that even though it was in our change order contract (which they conveniently did not leave us a copy of). Our subcontractor broke a lot of stuff and told no one. I paid out of pocket to replace some of those items. Their response for other items: you can't prove we broke that. They do not stand by their warranties and good luck getting them to come back and fix stuff. On top of that, most people who work (here including their office staff) are extremely aggressive and combative. They will scream and shout at you until you give up. read more

Today we received our 15th, count 'em, 15th phone call from Palm construction after we told them we do not want them to work on our project. My wife did some research on Angie's list to find an electrical contractor and we decided to go with another contractor months ago. We did not request contact or a quote from them. We have told them over and over and over again to leave us alone and they keep calling us, trying to get us to hire them for this project. I suspect (my opinion only) that many of the positive reviews of Palm construction are fake given their overactive marketing activities and apparent lack of courtesy or ethics. I hope the Contractor's State Licensing Board has a remedy for this sort of consumer abuse. read more

Alon and his crew were great. We had a large deck rebuilt as well as kitchen countertops and tile and complete primary bath renovation and deck rail cabling. Cruz, and his crew showed up every morning on time and worked into the evening to make sure things stayed on track. The attention to detail and quality was evident from the beginning. No short cuts, no need to look over their shoulder. Foremen and PM's would show up regularly to check on their work and make sure all was good with us along the way. Everything turned out better than expected. They never left the worksite without cleaning up after themselves and being prepared for the next day. Very much cared about their work and respectful of our home all the while when working. Would recommend them highly for any construction or remodeling work needed. read more

They will open a credit card with Synchrony Bank in your name without your knowledge and explanation or invoice of what they charged. We were surprised to get a bill of $15k saying it's for the treks they used for our backyard when this portion of the work is already included in one of the finance loans we got to get this work done!! A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! Been trying to fight this credit card fraud but somehow they keep closing the case without any reasons why! Lawsuit will be next for them!!! read more
