Excellent quality care, love the dentist and dental hygienist here(fellow ASU ALUMNI, Go Sundevils!!!) Also, they are affordable; never try to sell you on things you don't need or upsell. I get all of my dental work here now and will even try to schedule an appointment while on the Thanksgiving holiday visiting the family. And I moved back to NYC, so I need to save money. The dental cost in NYC is outrageous. This dentist even has payment plans for the non-insured, and I loved that option. Also, the front desk ten is pretty stellar as well! Be cautious and keep your receipts for all payments. I was contacted recently regarding a bill that I paid off January 2020, stating that it was not paid off. My last visit was in 2017, I was contacted about 6 months later that my insurance no longer covered my visit, which left me with a $200 balance. I would have assumed they gave to check insurance before my visit, I wasn't charged anything until I got my bill months later. Regardless I paid it. Fast forward. I called them notifying them that I had made a payment over the phone. According the office manager there was no record. I was fortunate that I found the charge on my bank statement. Called and told them the date, I was put on a brief hold while she checked the transactions that day. She mentioned she couldn't find anything, meaning there was no way it would have been credited on another account. I emailed her my bank statement, to which she then said it was credited to another account. I expressed my concern about their error, concerned that it would have happened to other families who have no way of proving their payment. She assured that that is why they go back on their records, but it was obviously not effective considering the only reason I was able to get my issue resolved was because I emailed her my proof. The office manager was not rude, however, this is an error that can potentially send a family to collections, or have to pay a balance again, knowing they have already. I've been coming to this dental office every 6months for my cleanings for 7 years. Everytime I have come in I just about get. New hygentist but the outcome is always the same. I alway leave happy with their customer service, care, and cleaned teeth. They have always accomidated my late schedule, never have called me to reschedule on their end. Front desk is upfront with what I will have done and the cost so I am not suprised after the fact with what is owed on my end. I'll be going back again and again! read more

A smile would be nice when meeting a patient for the first time...or not. They get two stars because both hygienists that I had were personable and gentle. I was looking into finding a new provider when they UNPROFESSIONALLY waited until my next appointment to tell me they no longer accept my insurance. How considerate. Once again Palm Dental canceled my appointment within 24 hours. In talking with the office manager, they only have a hygienist come in on Fridays. It would have been nice to have this information communicated to me in advance as I took time off work for this appointment. The same thing happened to me the end of last year. This has been an ongoing trouble. Had work done and the office somehow went over by almost $700 in billing. When told that Dr Fink would review and make adjustments, nothing happened. We have been waiting months for a revised bill and boom-- We got the same bill with no adjustments and/or changes. This is so disappointing. And now I have been calling for two days and no one answers the phone when I am calling during business hours. read more

I brought my two daughters here for a checkup exam and cleaning. The office staff was very friendly and courteous, and the office itself is clean and comfortable. The assistant Jenny did a great job with my oldest taking x-rays and polishing her teeth, and the hygienist Christina did a great a job brushing my little one's teeth. Dr. Fink explained the importance of taking good care of their teeth to both of them and gave them good oral hygiene instructions and emphasized the importance of brushing. My girls loved their visit and we will definitely be back. I have since returned for an exam and cleaning. The hygienist did s great job cleaning my teeth and was very thorough and gentle. Dr Fink did a great job explaining my oral health and best course of care going forward. read more

Not at all happy with this dental office for the following reasons: 1- forced me to get 18 X-rays and head scan. I should not have to pay for a service that I don't want just to get my teeth cleaned. 2- I arrived 15 minutes early and had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appt. 3- NOT THOROUGH CLEANING. All she did was clean with the paste and floss for 5 minutes. No scraping of plaque and I did not receive that fresh and clean feeling I've gotten at all other dental offices. 4- Reception lady did not call a day ahead to remind me of a visit. No bag with toothbrush and floss etc upon leaving. And I was supposed to be emailed pricing for some cosmetic dentistry and I have yet to receive anything. She was rude about my request for not wanting X-rays and maybe I received poor service for that reason. I will not be returning to palm dental and cannot recommend them to others. read more

Update (added a star because I was able to call the dentist and she seemed very interested in making things better and improving her processes and training. It still happened and "want to" improve is not verified improvement) This place has changed hands several time since my family first started going and it seems with each change things got worse. Particularly the office staff needs help. My first bad experience with the current management is then they wouldn't return calls after I left several messages to set an appointment. I finally told my wife you're not going there anymore and she said give him another chance. I finally got ahold of someone to set an appointment and I think everything's gonna be fine. But then comes the billing. come to find out although they say they take my insurance, what they charge doesn't seem to line up with what the insurance is willing to pay. So things that should be 100% covered they're coming to me for additionally money because they are over charging. Then services that are not covered by insurance such as fluoride for adults and I'm getting stuck paying these additional charges as they just casually upsale me without me realizing what's happening. Then when reviewing my bill with them, they said they were blaming the discrepancy on all sorts of different things like other family members and other situations but it was clearly outlined on the bill what was going on and that they were charging more than the insurance would pay and that they were slipping in services that weren't covered. I called and brought it to their attention and they weren't willing to even call the insurance company or do any work they just said that's tough and I need to pay. Then they had to take it impressions of my daughters teeth several times as they kept breaking the molds. They wanted her to go back again after several times to get impressions again. She said never mind and give me my money back and they won't return the money. I don't think the current dentist who owns the place realizes what's going on. read more

I have been visiting Palm Dental now for approximately 6 years and cannot come up with a complaint if I were looking for one. Everyone here meets me with a cheerful, upbeat, positive, enthusiastic, warm welcome. I feel I am in very capable hands with everyone from Betina at the helm of the Front Office, to the Dental Assistants, Jenny and Itzea, to Christina the Hygienist who is so complete and has the most comforting voice to listen to, and finally to Dr. Fink, who I think the World of because I know I am getting the very best possible care, and understand through her thorough examinations, precisely what status my teeth are in, and how to get them to their best possible condition, by explaining to me her findings, and making her best recommendation to remedying the situation if there happens to be one. All the while looking out for my best interest as a patient. I am delighted with the outcome of my teeth, having had extensive work done over the past year. They have never looked better. I smile with confidence that they look their best. I highly suggest and recommend to anyone who is seeking a pleasant, comfortable, calming, serene place to park it for awhile and know that you are receiving the Best Care Out There, at a very reasonable, affordable cost. was not very pleased with my visit, I was made to wait longer than my Appt time by a half an hour showed up 15 min early for paper work so a total of 45 min, only to be given a hard time because I didn't have a not from my Dr because I was pregnant (which I asked if I needed when I made the appt and was told no) I then saw the Dr and was basically told they could do nothing for me I explained I was in a lot of pain and he didn't even give me a script for antibiotics to get rid of the infection from the abscess tooth, all they did was take one x ray and never even gave my mouth an exam. Front lobby was dingy and not well kept the light in the bathroom was out and basically I really feel I was not treated as well as some of the other patients in the office. ( I felt like they catered specifically to the Latin population ) I will be looking for a different Dentists ASAP. I can say one of the girls in the lobby who then also served as my hygienist was very sweet and that is why I gave them 2 starts instead of one. But save yourself time and frustration go else where. read more

Not the best dentist office. Definitely had to wait some time before being seen. I appreciated the directness of the dentist on if I should be getting an onlay. In the end, in getting it or not getting it would lead to the same end result, a crown, so might as well wait. I typically go to a different dentist office in N. Scottsdale and they seemed to always push preventive procedures, like the onlay. The reason that I would return to the dentist in N. Scottsdale and not this one is because I felt the area where patients went looked dingy and dirty and I was very queasy about the dental assistant placing the x-ray bites in my mouth (used mouthwash like crazy when I got home!). Also, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor cleaning my teeth and the teeth cleaning lasted for a short time where it felt like they only cleaned a couple of my teeth. (Maybe I have really clean teeth though, who knows) The office I go to in N. Scottsdale uses a water pick thingy and they spend a decent amount of time going over all of my teeth. I will not re-visit this office again (as like stated above, I've experienced better) but I do appreciate the dentist's second opinion on having an onlay done. read more

Recently switched to a Health Net Access dental insurance (from AHCCCS). Could not find an office/dentist that would take this insurance, all said they don't cover over age 21. Then called this Palm Dental and they stated they take this insurance so I made an appointment. But at the time of appointment they tell me the same thing, no coverage over age 21. Waste of time... Why could they not be honest like other offices? Just to make me go their office? Well, they tricked me into walking in,but I walked out right away and won't go back. read more

I love this place! The receptionist is friendly and always greets me with a smile. Christina (my hygienist) is always so calm and thorough and most importantly, gentle when she is cleaning my teeth. I never have more than a 10 minute wait and I always get reminders for my upcoming appointments. Makes going to the dentist not so bad! Highly recommend! read more

**** BEWARE****** This is the worst dentist office I have ever been to. The office staff is incompetent, unprofessional and lamentable. They have zero customer sever skills and don't put customers first. I have called multiple times to try to resolve this issues before writing this review, but it is inevitable I get the run around. It took 3 days to get a referral for a Ped. Dentist and the dentist reassured me they would make sure it was in my insurances network (I even heard him tell her to make sure it was in-network). I went to the place that I was referred to and I had to pay $175 because they weren't in-network for my insurance. I then got a bill in the mail from Palm Dental for a "co-pay" that wasn't collected at the time of the initial appointment- when I asked several time AFTER they ran my insurance if there was a co-pay and they said no. When I called the staff that answered the phone told me that it wasn't their responsibility to check to see if the referral dentist was in-network- that's not how that works, but nice try. Then when I told her I wasn't going to pay the "co-pay" bill since their "MISTAKE" cost me $175, she told me "fine you don't have to". I advised her to have the dentist call me to discuss this situation and she said she would. Here it is 24 hrs later and I call again to follow up and she told me the dentist wanted me to come in to talk to him. Why wasn't I called then? Why did I have to call to follow up? I should have known when I first called to set up the appointment and they answered the phone "hello" instead of "Palm Dental" it wasn't going to be a professional establishment. It was a horrible experience and I will be changing dentists for my family. I do not recommend this dentist office to anyone. read more

Awesome team! No other office in my area was doing walk-ins. I called Pal Dental & they told me to come in before 3pm, so I did. I got there got things checked out & minutes later was out the door and one to pick up my meds. I definitely recommend them. read more
