I just needed a quick massage to work out some knots and relax the feet. It's located in a small strip mall but there is plenty of parking. Storefront was ok and the first impression of the interior is not so great. But if you can get past the appearances, then you are in for a treat. I got a full hour of intense foot massage and my knots worked out for way less than anywhere else. The masseuse was very good and really knows her stuff. I gave this place 2 chances and left disappointed both times. The first time, I called to make an appointment for a 90 minute massage. When I walked in, several workers were just hanging out on the couch in the front having a loud conversation. No one acknowledged me until I interrupted their conversation to let them know I was there for an appointment. One of the workers went back to get the boss, who came out and just stared at me for an uncomfortable length of time. Again, I had to tell him I was there for my appointment. The massage itself was mediocre. The masseuse was clearly left handed and used so much force on my left side that it bruised, despite several attempts at asking for less pressure. Then, suddenly it was over. After I had changed and checked my phone, I noticed it was only 1 hour. Went to pay at the front and tell the boss that my appointment was for 90 minutes, and he nodded and chuckled and tried to charge me for 90 minutes. The second time, I also called for a 90 minute appointment. I made sure he heard and repeated 90 minutes back to me. When I got there the next day, I told the boss 90 minutes again and he repeated it back to me. The masseuse this time had weak hands that literally shook like he was carrying something heavy the entire time. He also smelled like cigarettes. When the massage was over he abruptly pushed me up and shooed me off the bed to pull the towels and sheets off. Weird, I thought. Checked my phone and guess what? It was only 60 minutes again. I paid and left a 20% tip anyways, and the boss chased after me outside the store saying there is a mandatory $10 tip. Wtf dude? Why? The massage wasn't the right length, nor was it good. A friend took me to this place for a massage. As a walk-in, there was a 15 minutes wait. They do take down appointment too, but my friend decided to do walk-in. They have a small old couch and also have water and hot tea for you to enjoy while waiting to be called. The place looks okay....kind of old. I saw that there are no privacy at all the the massage area (on the other side of the curtains. They used panels curtains to divide between the waiting area and the massage area. People can see the massage area through the opening of the panels curtains while they are sitting/waiting on the couch. When I got called in, one of the ladies gave me a short to change into and a towel wrap. They do provide hair clips if you don't have one or forgot. I would recommend you to bring your own short and hair clips due to sanitation. Most of the stuffs they use like the small pillow, towel wrap, and etc...are old and worn-out. Most of the massagers are Chinese with limited English, not easily to communicate. The massager I got was a female. She was okay....I feel that she didn't touch any of my sored points. It was more like I went there for a body rub rather than a massage. There is one unisex restroom to change out the clothes. The massage area, such as the beds are very closed to each other, no curtains or dividers. Everyone can see everyone....both males and females. Pretty standard for $15 massages in the area. Blue Sky and a couple others are my only other points of comparison, and boy oh boy, this was a nice change. - No shady business or happy endings from what I know. Come on people. - Tip well. I have been to this place about three times. I always thought it was convenient cheap and the massages are intense, but great. This past weekend, I took my mother-in-law and we decided to get the room for more privacy. Ladies were very nice when we were done, we were gonna give the ladies a tip. They seem very timid and a bit scared to take the cash and she told me give it to my boss when she said that I kinda looked at her and she looked frightened. So we go up and pay the $30 per person and so I asked the man are we not allowed to tip them? He looks at me and says yes give it to me. I had cash in my pocket but something told me not to give him anything. I told him I would go to my car and get more cash. He followed me to the door and told me she can stay here and you can go for the tip. As in leave your mother-in-law here as a hostage and come back, I looked at him dead in the eye, and I said she's coming with me. I went to the car and thankfully thought let's get out of here. From the side of mirror, I saw that he went out to look for us. 10 minutes later, he calls me. He asked me if I'm going to the bank for the tip. I was a bit weirded out and I said I'll be back. What's the rush? He didn't say anything and hung up. 15 minutes later, he calls me from his cell phone number, which is recorded on my phone. And hangs up. He then calls private, and I don't answer. I then call the cell number which she called me from first. He asked me if I was gonna take the tip.- I said stop calling me. I don't appreciate you harassing me for a tip and no, I'm not going back. This use to be my go to place for a rejuvenating massage after a longs week of work....but I'll be finding another place. It's recently gone down hill. I had a 'new' guy today. Female owner didn't even know his name and had to go ask him. Do not book with a Kevin. He didn't know what the heck he was doing. There was no rhythm or reason to his massage. He would elbow me over my spine, my ribs: kneaded on one side but stroked on the other side, squeeze just to get done then run out of things to do and goes back to where he feels like to stroke through the time: stops abruptly to talk to other workers: asked him to used a little more force for my feet so he just dugged his knuckles into my arch but forgot the rest of the foot: PUSHED me up when it was time to turn over: flinged my arms to the side instead of slowly setting it down; never asked if the heat or strength was okay: didn't know how to stretch or crack me back correctly: finished 10 min early: everything he did was just off. This is the first time the massage was SOOOO bad that I wanted to cry. Owners should really know who they are hiring. What tipped off the bad experience was 20min into the massage, a couple of workers, AND the female owner, were being abnoxiously rude and loud right above my head, discussing who should take what customers. This was going on for a good 5 minutes. I understand things can be loud at these places but, this ruckus was outright disrespectful to their customers. You are in an open common room with a bunch of other tables/massages going on at the same time and you continuously hear the stream of continuous noise coming from the front door opening/closing. The typical Chinese massage parlor you find in OC for the cheap price BUT what sets this place apart is the quality! I've been to practically all the different $15-20/hour 'foot' refloxology massage places and this is by far THE best in terms of what you get for the price. All times I have gone, they always end with the free hot stones and the different techniques they use are amazing. She already acted with an hostile attitude during our conversation, but I let's it went by since I was not sure who she is. Then she started showing her true self, with her loud mouth and complaining the tips were not enough? The Tips were 40% of the services, how much more does she want? Please be aware that TIPS cannot be demanded, nor an obligation for the customers. Tips will be given on how the customers felt about their service, which was not suppose to be mandatory. $10 tip on $25 services was already 40% how could she demanded for more? And who is she to demand for tips? She was not the masseurs. Did she actually give the tips to the masseurs or keep it for herself? People like her cannot bring this kind of hostile attitudes here, there are law and regulation in America not like at her own country!!!!! $20 for 1 hour massage?? Can't pass up that deal! I give this place a 4 out of 5 star review for the quality of the massage, not the atmosphere. I went during COVID so, first off, I was happy to see that they were open for business. I appreciated that they were taking the temperatures of all the customers and I frequently saw them sanitizing (spray) the surrounding area and beds/couches. However, I was very surprised to see the lack of windows and air circulation and how close all of the beds/tables were together. Everyone was wearing masks so I was okay with it, but it was a little too close if you are weary of social distancing. Now, the massage was amazing. They placed a thin cloth sheet over the padded bed. While covering me up with a bath towel they had me take off my shirt and pull down my sports bra straps so that there was better access to my back when we got to that area. While sitting on the chair and having feet soak, he did a shoulder and neck massage and ended with a good back cracking. Then, I went face up while he worked on the arms and shoulders and moved down to legs and feet. I am sorry for giggling and flinching so much when you got to my feet, I am ticklish, but it seemed that he had a good laugh at it too. I am sure this happens often. They had me flip over and untied the bathrobe to expose my back, but ensured that I was fully covered else where. He gave a great back and upper but massage. To my surprise, there was some heated rock action which felt amazing. But, if you are sensitive to heat I would ask them to cool them down a little bit before application, because they are pretty hot. Once finished they helped me get dressed and collect all my belongings. My friend and I only had a couple of $$ cash which we were going to do for personal tip and put the rest on our card. When the massage was over I tipped my therapist $20 & then I went to the front to pay the $38 for the 90 min massage. I gave her $40 and she didn't give me my change until she called the therapist back to confirm that I gave her a tip. That for me was a huge red flag.
