I found Palmer Electric on Yelp and requested a quote on some old outdoor lighting that did not work. The house is new to us, but the lighting has been here for sometime and has not worked since we moved in. We spent the entire winter in the dark when we went outside! LOL! Well, the electricians (2) came out and wa-la, within 30 minutes had it working. Now, they could have told us it was old and needed to be replaced, but you know - they did not do that! I really appreciate that. They fixed the transformer and explained what was going on. We'll have them come back and update some of the fixtures to join the 21st century! I recently inherited a house in the desert and it needed a lot of work in many areas, one of them being electric. Out of all the various trades I eventually used, the guys from Palmer Electric were the best. I had ceiling fans replaced, new fans added, outdoor speakers and electric plugs installed, and they just finished adding power to my ceiling so they could install a TV projector and all of the necessary wiring. They arrive on time, are very polite and knowledgeable about their work, do an excellent job, and clean up so the house is spotless when they leave. I couldn't resist. Honestly. There in the aisles of Costco was a very nice and powerful, emergency (dual fuel!) generator. VERY reasonably priced and with the dire darkness all around us, I decided, it was a reasonable and practical expenditure. My experience in the high Sierra mountains showed me that when the power went out, he with the generator was always smiling. You may have a different reason, but you're looking for a Electrical Contractor, just like I was. Price, availability, reliability, expertise, and credibility. This is your hero. He's already mine Larry Palmer has installed a supplemental power box below my home's external circuit panel. If the power goes out, i'll cut the primary power switch, slip a slide plate up to insure only one direct power source to the home, pull the crank, or push the electric start, and i got air conditioning, freezer, refrigerator, computer, etc etc etc. Almost like magic. He came over and evaluated the project, put together a cost estimate with parts and service identified. He researched the product (generator) and gained a working knowledge of this system, make, and model. After we agreed on the price, he got right back over and did the install. This entire process was started, and complete within a 3 week window from first call to final handshake. The price was so damn reasonable. My friend from Illinois would have quoted this job at somewhere north of $2K. Our cost was closer to half that amount. Good luck with your project however, if you call Larry Palmer, "luck" will have no bearing on the outcome at all. You picked the winner. read more

This guy is amazing! I tried to install a do it yourself Wi-Fi thermostat in my building is 35 years old and wiring has changed over the years and I couldn't do it. I figured I needed electrician so I checked Yelp and Palmer electric had good reviews and estimated response time was less than 40 minutes. So I gave it a shot and sure enough I got a phone call back and Larry was able to come over pretty quickly and unfortunately he couldn't fix the issue and suggested I call an HVAC specialist but he was very kind and assessed the situation and didn't even charge me for the quick visit. Plumber informed us that it would be best if we had an outlet installed for the disposal instead of the way the disposal was originally installed--as in hardwired. Plumber (Ben's Plumbing ) called these electricians, as they have used them before. Larry was just great---he really did squeeze us in, as we had something planned for the next day that couldn't be changed. I cannot recommend Palmer Electric highly enough! They responded almost immediately to an electrical issue I had been dealing with for over a week with several other contractors and our home warranty company. They were quick and efficient at fixing the issue, which had been misdiagnosed by a prior electrician. Another electrician advised my pool panel was severely overloaded and that the underground wiring from our main electrical panel needed to be replaced. The technicians from Palmer were able to fix the entire issue by replacing the breaker and tightening a loose wire. They literally saved me hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs. Larry is actually still at my house completing a ceiling fan install on 4 rooms. The project was too overwhelming for me as there was no pre existing fans or light fixtures. Larry came out one day to give me an estimate and he was very professional, honest, and straight forward about everything. We scheduled an install date and he wasted no time getting to work. My OCD is real, and every wire he ran and every mount he placed was dead center and level. I got 3 estimates for this job and before even hearing all the prices I offered the work to Palmer Electric strictly based on my impression of Larry.
