I went to the address posted and I don't know if it's not accurate or what, but it was a house in a residential neighborhood. I called - no answer. I rang the doorbell and no one was home. I know some people do business out of their homes and I have no idea if that was the case here, but regardless this business appeared not to exist. What a find! Just before the arrival of a houseguest from Europe, of course my vacuum decides to take a dump. . Being new in town I had no idea where to get it fixed. Natch I consulted my go to consultant, Yelp. Pals was the stand out vacuum surgeon. To my surprise it was only a mile or two from my new home. But the downside, it was a b**** to find in the minimall. When I walked in I saw a sea of vacuums ready to be picked up. Feeling "a lot of people like this dude", I thought Yelp was right with 5 stars. But when I picked it up in a few days, I was shocked to hear it would cost $38. Only $38? $38???? My last guy would have padded the bill to probably close to $100. No wonder so many people brought their vacuums to Pal's. Once again the Yelp folk have sounded. Mr. P.A.L. let me know that my bagless was sending dust throughout my home (it is, and I just bought another one, fortunately it's still in the box in my trunk). He had the canister vacuum with attachments that I'd been shopping for. Space is an issue at my home. I was so impressed when I unpacked my Jill Subcompact Canister. It's powerful, has a long cord with attachments and the HEPA filter bag. The filtertration bags are not like the paper bags from my past. This took care of all my needs. Bye Dirt Devil! read more

I've been using Pal's for my vacuum and service needs for 20+ years. (OMG, am I THAT old???) And for all of those years it has been owned and operated by Bernie and his son, Mark. You're just not going to find anyone more honest or better at what they do. About 10-11 years ago I purchased a home vacuum from them but who knew you're supposed to service them? Not me. So, last year it kinda konked out and now it's good as new. I've promised myself I won't wait that long next time. I also have a 20 year-old heavy-duty metal cannister vac for my business that is used constantly because it's in a grooming shop. So, every couple of years the switch wears out - these guys fix it fast and affordably so that I can get on with the vacuuming:) Can't say enough good things about this business! read more

I got my vacuum cleaner back, FAST, FIXED, WORKING GREAT and CLEAN!! Pal's repaired my vacuum in the time-frame (4-days) just like they PROMISED!! Not only did Pal's fix my vacuum cleaner above and beyond my satisfaction, they did so in 4-DAYS!! And stayed in communication with me! The two men that work there are VERY NICE!! (I brought my Eureka vacuum here after Moore's sew & vac had it for OVER a month, didn't fix it and gave it back to me in WORSE condition than how I brought it in, and zero communication) NOT ONLY did Pal's fix my vacuum within the time they said, it was literally 1/3 of the price Moore's was going to charge me!! Super place to fix sewing machines and vacuums. My sewing machine fix was taken care of in 10 minutes and I was done. He was kind enough to not even charge bc it was a simple issue. But the fact he made time to just check in right on the spot, well that's refreshing, in that the place in MIssion Viejo said they would have to send my machine out to manufacture for a month long repair. That just doesn't work. So having said that, this place is amazing, super turnaround and honest family business that I will continue to go to for many years to come. We took our vacuum to Pal's because of their Yelp rating. We had a broken switch problem. And that's all I thought it needed. They suggested that they do also do a full service. At first, I thought that they were just adding additional changes, because it seemed to work fine except for the switch. Well to my pleasant surprise. After getting back in about 5 days, the vacuum seems better than new. The suction and self-propel works better than ever. Good job, Pal's. read more

My 15+ year old Miele vacuum was making some horrible noise. I started researching new vacuums online through Amazon and another big box store. I knew I wanted another Miele. I thought I had it narrowed down to what I wanted but I wanted to see the machine in person. I had been to Pal's years earlier for a repair on this machine and thought I could check out the machine there. The store is a throw back to the 60's or 70's. A local shop with honest folks. Mark showed me the machines they had in the store and at the one I was interested in in the catalog. Then he suggested I bring in my old machine and let him check it out ( for free) to see what the issues might be. I called the next day and Mark told me the machine needed about $250 in repairs but that my current machine is far better than the one I was looking at and perhaps better than any of the Miele's currently made. So the repairs were made and I was able to save $250 that I didn't have to spend on a new inferior product. Honesty like this is hard to find these days and it was much appreciated. Thanks Mark!. I would have given this store ten stars if that was possible. I vacuumed today and actually enjoyed the task with my "new" quiet vacuum. read more

I just called Pal's to get their opinion on a make and model of a used vacuum I am considering buying from someone. I thought I'd get his opinion before I asked about their used vacuums. (I have done business with them on other occasions and appreciated their honesty and good prices.) He basically told me that the one I am considering is a good machine and the price was right. He said that even after I told him that I would buy one from him if he had as good of a deal! He told me I should buy the one from the private owner! WOW! I didn't know there were companies around anymore who had such honest customer service! I stopped going to another locally owned store when they kept trying to sell me a new vacuum to replace mine. My sturdy workhorse 40+-year old Singer sewing machine died one day. I took it to Pal's wondering if it could even be resurrected and was sort of resigned to the daunting task of having to shop for a new machine. I was pleasantly surprised that it was deemed repairable. I was even more pleasantly surprised to find that it now works better than ever.
