Very clever Instagram-able Coffee shop based on Tarantino's love for Pam Grier. Makes seeing a movie at the Vista more personal, creating a stronger sense of a video-geek community. WOW! One of the coolest coffee shops ever. Located right next door to the Vista Theater, this place truly feels like stepping back in time. The decor is incredibly nostalgic, they even have small old-school TVs inside, the kind with built in VCRs. I felt like I was time traveling the moment I walked in. Service was good, and my latte was solid, not the best I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable. The pastries looked great, and I appreciated that they offer gluten free options as well. No parking, just street parking. Such a cozy environment. Before even entering the cafe, you can smell the aroma of the coffee luring you in. Even on a rainy day this place is popping. The workers there are so kind and helpful. This place does amazing coffees, matcha on the other hand is alright. I would say if you are craving matcha, go across the street to Handles. First of all, it is a really cool place, and I was kind of blown away on how cool everything was. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, definitely go. Their prices are fair. This cafe is located right next to the Vista theater. My husband and I decided to stop by after watching a movie. The inside, although small, is packed with so much movie memorabilia. It's also decorated with fun novelty items that are related to movies. Unfortunately, the cafe was closing 10 minutes after we arrived. We weren't able to look and really enjoy the place like we wanted to, but the employees still allowed us to order and sip a bit of our drink before they closed up. I'll definitely be back to try their snacks and bites. They had some seasonal items and Cap'N Crunch cereal (because it's Tarantino's favorite). Whether you are catching a movie at the Vista or just happen to be nearby, the coffee here always hits the spot regardless of blend. It was named in honor of Pam Grier and her iconic role in the 1973 blaxplotation film, "Coffy," the coffee shop is attached to The Vista Theatre, owned by Quentin Tarantino. I came early morning to grab a coffee and check out their vibe. From the outside it doesn't juts out because it blends quite well with the theatre bldg. Indoor space was extremely small but the 80's decor and tvs were a good distraction. The coffee shop serves blends, butterscotch, lavender and vanilla flavors. Moreover, they also have baked goods, many of which are vegan or gluten-free. I ordered a hot 12oz Lavender Latte. It was brewed perfectly and tastes great; I really dig their coffee sleeves. Staff and service were amiable and fast, respectively. Seats (outdoor and indoor) look good. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Prices were competitive and economically fair. Street and metered parking available. Overall, I had a good experience and coffee. This will be my go to coffee shop. read more

was attending a screening at the vista theater and had to swing by this joint coffee shop right in the same building (only accessible from outside the theatre). trying a new coffee place on a trip is an essential, and pam's coffy might've just won the prize this time around. it truly delivered in every aspect of great coffee, great service, and just impeccable vibes inside. i got the brown sugar cinammon latte and my girlfriend got their chai, each were excellent! she is a barista so she knows good coffee, and she praised its smoothness and balance of flavor and espresso. the chai was also great, super flavorful. the cups even come with a fun little wrap showcasing the logo and the back stating "a cup by quentin tarantino." fun stuff of course the coffee shop is based on pam grier's iconic movie Coffy, and there is some excellent post art from that movie on display. this never feels gimmicky, but more a true love letter to cinema that you can really feel tarantino's touch on (which he does own this shop and the vista). if you are a coffee (coffy too, of course) and a movie lover, it's a must stop! especially before catching a movie at the beautiful vista theater next door read more

Named after Jack Hill's 1973 film Coffy starring Pam Grier, the cafe opened on February 14 following several months of anticipation. The cafe was initially going to be called just Coffy, but after Tarantino connected with Grier, who he directed in Jackie Brown, he decided to further personalize the name. I'm so pleasantly surprised! I was skeptical at first - what does Quentin Tarantino know about coffee? Would it even be quality? Happy to report that this place is SUCH a little gem. Myself and my man got the iced butterscotch caramel & the Jimmy's Vanilla. Both drinks were quality. The iced latte had the perfect espresso to milk to flavor ratio, and the Jimmy's Vanilla had such a lovely aroma and we could tell the coffee was quality. The interior is so retro - the cereal boxes added such a cute ambience, and of course, the Coffy poster on the wall adds to the theme. The service was super fast. The baristas were so lovely and engaging. It's clear that they are so knowledgeable about coffee and are passionate about what they do. Overall, this little gem is worth coming for quality coffee. The Vista Theater holds a very special place in my heart as it's where the hubbs and I had our first date over *cough* 12 *cough* years ago. So I was very relieved to hear that Mr. Tarantino bought the theater to prevent it's inevitable shut down back in 2021. As a bonus to him saving The Vista, he opened Pam's Coffy right next door. Pam's Coffy is an homage to the iconic, Pam Grier, cinema's first action hero and leading lady of the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. It has a very eclectic interior with memorabilia dedicated to Pam as well as a collection of classic cereal boxes and vintage lunch boxes. The vibes sway you into remembering sitting on that shag carpet of your living room getting ready to binge Saturday Morning cartoons. I love a cafe with a theme. I ADORE a cafe with a theme with actual tasty items! I order an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte and a brown sugar pop pie to compliment. The Vista was finished and opened a few months ago but it took a bit more time to get Pam's Coffy going. I had been looking forward to the coffee shop inspired by film icon and QT muse Pam Grier since I saw it under construction on my first visit to the Vista. It is a fun, creative place to wait for a movie or to gather and chat about a movie after a screening, or just to sit and have fun. The vibe is eclectic and full of film inspired Easter eggs. I was there for about 15 minutes and I tried to catch all the quirky stuff. I guarantee I missed some details! It will be fun to go back and see what else I can spot. I have to admit, I went the first chance I could get, specifically to grab one of the first generation Pam's Coffy coffee mugs. I was worried they'd sell out and I didn't want to miss out. It is one of the coolest things I have ever bought! I am kind of scared to use it for coffee so I set it up on my writing desk. Someday I'll have a coffee or other celebratory drink in it but I'm saving it for a special occasion. I had their raspberry mocha. The flavors were light and nice, not overly sweet or strong, which is what I like. I also tried out an apple hand pie. A fun idea they have for their menu is a rotating list of cereals and milks. I don't eat a lot of cereal but I saw another guest with one and the bowl they served was quite generous. Los Feliz has a high concentration of coffee shops but Pam's Coffy certainly hits the right kind of notes for me. I might bring my laptop one of these days when they slow down after the buzz and see what it's like to have a writing session. Parking is available on the streets close by and should be no problem for most people but if you are there for a movie and a coffee, check the signs before you park. read more

The coffee served here is Jones coffee and the drinks are themed after the flavors they contain. The place is small itself but does include indoor and outdoor seating. I decided to try this place. It was a close walk to where I was staying, so I can't attest to parking. The ambience in the store was so awesome, it's like hopping in a Time Machine. There were various older cereals brands, action figures, collectible items to view as decor. A nice little old vcr tv that plays different movies. Service was quick, I did let them know it was our first time, but no one offered any recommendations, which is fine we enjoyed what we picked out. The coffee was so amazing, I've been to Starbucks and other places searching for a great tasing horchata latte and this place has it! The butterscotch Carmel latte was also perfectly sweet and balanced with the coffee. I have to know how they make that blueberry flavor because it was so good and the flavor was immaculate in the vanilla blueberry coffee. I'll definitely be going here often.
