I visited your dealership (Bamby ) simply to ask for advice on how to operate my soft top--nothing more. My Jeep is brand new and fully covered under the factory warranty, which I understand should be honored at any authorized dealer. However, instead of a friendly greeting, the first thing I was asked was where I bought it. When I explained that the franchise promise guarantees coverage regardless of purchase location, I was met with rudeness and dismissiveness. I wasn't even asking for a repair--just basic guidance--and the treatment I received was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Especially sunny at the workshop and the people at the dealer were trying to explain to me. My 2019 Wrangler steering wheel began to shake at highway speeds. Called Pamby and was told vehicle most likely needed a wheel balance, $65.00. Scheduled appointment, when I went to pick it up, told it now needs a new steering unit, $175.00 plus labor, decided not to do that and was charged $165.00 diagnostic fees. Brought my vehicle to 2 different certified service centers. Both diagnosed the issue, solution, $65.00 wheel balance. After the balance, wrangler runs just fine. Called Pamby and spoke with Tim Pambianchi, explained the situation and I asked for a credit or refund because of the incorrect diagnosis. He was going to check and call me back. That was 4 months ago. Needless to say I will not be returning to Pamby for anything. I believe we bought 7 vehicles from them, they used to be great, definitely not any longer. My son and I went to Pamby after going to 3 other Jeep dealers. We had no success with the others. Dave was our salesman but we couldn't agree on a price. Then Tom came and worked out a great deal for us. They were very courteous, professional and patient. Within 2 hours we left them with a trade in and we drove away with a brand new Jeep Wrangler. Short version: A couple of years ago I took my Dodge Charger in with a broken knob on the navigation unit. Diagnosis -- cannot replace the knob, must replace the entire console unit, and the factory unit is no longer available. The good news was that they had an $800 Alpine unit that could be dropped in as a replacement. The Alpine unit did drop in, and restored my navigation functionality, but as I learned later did not have Sirius capability. Still mostly a win. Recent update: Alpine unit clock and navigation functionality no longer work. Service desk told me if I bring it in for a day or two they will look at it. When I escalated to a manager, I discovered I could get a "waiting" slot later in the week, but they didn't actually have anyone available who knows about the Alpine units. Caveat emptor. read more

NOTE: I did not purchase any vehicles or service from Pamby. My review is based solely on online interactions with their sales department. I am shopping for certified Jeeps and found a great candidate online at Pamby. I live an hour away, so I wanted to get some basic details before making the drive to look at the jeep. On their webiste they have a link for trade in appraisal. I wrote that I was interested in the the Jeep and gave detailed info on my trade, including descriptions of all defects. The site actually requires a VIN before you can submit, so I went digging and found that thinking they could pull the history report to fill in any gaps. After spending 15 minutes filling out their form I submitted it and got a response simply stating the Jeep is still available. I replied asking if they had reviewed my trade details and their response was "No, must see trades to appraise them properly. I suggest an appointment." I don't have a problem with them wanting to review a trade before making a solid offer, but I do have a problem with wasting my time forcing me to fill out detailed info if and a VIN if they can't even toss out a ballpark response. I will be buying a car in the next few weeks, but it will not be from Pamby. read more

I'm a full-time traveler pulling a fifth wheel trailer with my 07 Dodge 3500. The transmission threw a code and went into limp-mode coming into Danbury, CT. So I naturally contacted the closest DODGE dealer, which was the "Mothership" dealership in Danbury on Federal Rd. They made excuses why they couldn't help me, including saying that they didn't have a lift big enough for my 3500 and they didn't have a code-reader for a 2007 Dodge?!?! What?!? So, I contacted PAMBY MOTORS in Ridgefield and spoke with Mike P. He recognized we were stranded without the truck and he not only got me in THAT DAY but had it FIXED and returned to the road the next day! Amazing service for an out-of-town'r like me. Took my 2012 10 year old jeep there 3 times to fix an ABS light problem. first said i had to replace a sensor. Light came back on $450. then told me need new wheel bearing, 550. then told me need new abs module. 1020. 1 day after the module change and 2k in the light came back on with the same code. now they told me need a new connector at the ABS module because it was damaged and it would cost another 1020 to fix... i took the car home and inspected the module connector and turns out its not damaged at all. then i inspected the connector at the sensor they changed the first time around seems that the connector on the car side at that sensor has been the issue the whole time. so i fastened it tightly and taped it... guess what 2 weeks now and no light on. these people are either crooks or have no idea what they are doing. side note on one of the times i went to pick up the car. it wouldn't start so the guys jumped me and asked if i wanted them to put a new battery. i went home and looks like it wouldn't start because they didnt tighten the battery clamp.... I wen there because i thought it was reputable i should of done my research first. im mostly angry that i let them take advantage of me. I am mechanically inclined but have no time to do any of the work i cant imagine how many people are getting ripped off here daily and have no idea. read more

I am very, very happy with the service I received here. Long story short, I had to buy a part on zero days notice. I called the service department up two minutes before they closed on a Saturday morning and explained my problem. The service folks were able to locate and sell me the part telephonically, and leave it for me at the dealership, where I picked it up. They certainly didn't have to do this for me, and I thought they went above and beyond with their service and professionalism. read more

Pamby's service center is lousy and disappointing. Pamby's sales team, particularly dennis is exceptional. Bought a dodge truck from him with no problems, and had a great experience. However, take a ride down the street to the service center if you want the opposite experience. Spent near 800 dollars on routine service, only to find wheel bearing covers missing off my truck. The 'mechanic' who worked on the truck lost the hardware which holds the covers to the wheels on the truck. Not only were my parts lost/missing, I was also blamed for the situation! Had to drive 100 miles to my job site the same morning and was basically left with nothing fixed about the situation, in fact I ended up buying the hardware myself since they couldn't find the lost hardware. Once satisfied with the service center, but not anymore. Complete joke, and a handful of unprofessional clowns at the service center. read more

Don't go for service at Pamby. They refused to take their $279.95 coupon which is on Mopar.com and are constantly trying to upsell maintenance check services before you are at the recommended mileage thresholds . I"ll never go again after having my brakes replaced on our Jeep, feel like we were totally ripped off and they are falsely advertising a coupon no one can redeem. We bought, leased and serviced our cars at Pamby Motors in Ridgefield for over 15 years when in 2015 we switched to Yonkers Central Avenue Jeep simply because they offered a better lease deal. We continued to frequently use Pamby Auto Service Center. When our 2015 lease was up in March we bought a Jeep at Yonkers Central Avenue Jeep because they quoted us a lower purchase price than Pamby. We called Chrysler Leasing and asked if it was OK to return our expired Jeep to Pamby for convenience sake. They said it was and that Pambys should take the car. We called and left a message twice for Fred Pambianchi, the leasing manager. The calls were never returned. On the morning of April 2nd we wrote a check for $3,975 to Pamby for autobody work (the 2015 car had been in an accident and we contracted with Pamby Autobody to do the repair work.) We then drove both cars to Pamby and spoke to Fred Pambianchi. He reluctantly agreed to accept the car for return to Chrysler. He then went out to check on the car. When he came back, after seeing our new car parked alongside our old car, he asked where we had purchased it. When we told Fred we had purchased it from Yonkers but would service it in Ridgefield he said he had no space available on the lot to take the 2015 car back. We asked about the space it was now parked in or the many other spaces available in his lot but he just laughed. We were amazed! So they could accept the money to repair the car but not be bothered to return it to Chrysler! Pamby Motors - Beware! Not the best place to do business. - Large prices, small people! read more

Horrible experience and I am a car fanatic. First they overcharge me by $1500.00 for a evaporator and condenser for my 2007 Grand Cherokee. Then, I pick up the car and the leather seat is torn. They give me the usual rubbish about jeez I don't know how that could have happened. Finally, they did the right thing per my request and replaced the seat cushion still believing that they didn't do it. Then, they service the front axle seals which are leaking. This was covered under warranty. When I got the car back it shuddered at 60MPH and up. The service writer had me bring it back three times always acting like they were doing me a big favor to look at it. I finally gave up after asking the service writer to get another mechanic or shop foreman involved which apparently was too much to ask for on my part. So, off to my faithful 5 star Jeep dealer in Newburgh NY 45 min away. I wanted to do business locally but apparently this dealer is just not competent and employs monkeys for mechanics. My guy found the problem and corrected it. The Pamby mechanic hit the flange attached to the driveshaft with a hammer when he was trying to get the driveshaft out. You could see the indentation. Once the flange was replaced the vibration went away. Now I will be discussing legal action with the owner over why he feels his dealership can charge $1500.00 more to service an air conditioning system then another factory authorized 5 start Jeep dealer. Thieves and bad mechanics equal bad news and how they got five stars I will never know. read more
