My dog is blind now because of them !!! My dog had been a customer for 3 years and this last time I took him and he came back with a red eye. I called them and they said they were noticing he had eye gunk but that was it. I took him to a vet and they told me he's now blind in that eye for the rest of his life. I called happy tails to give them an update and they were rude and said they were not responsible but they are. They hurt my little guy and it's possible they will to yours too. Met this wonderful people at the Halloween trick or treat for dogs in Fontana. Kuma has had a groomer from when he was a puppy who we lost contact with. When we attempted to take him to a different groomer they had suggested I give him a sedative in order to be groomed again. I had tried the sedative but it made him more anxious. My Mom dropped her dog off and 2 hours later received a call stating that she was ready to be picked up and needed to be rushed to the vet due to being cut under her arm. When my Mom arrived, they stated she still had to pay for service even though they harmed her dog. That wasn't fair at all, then had the audacity to tell her not to go to a certain vet because they're expensive. My Mom went to her usual VET and they still had to take care of the bill. If you love your dogs & care for them, you will not drop your dogs off here. This is unfair, she's going through pain she doesn't deserve. Y'all need to be shut down, y'all ain't right. There are two women I have seen at the front desk, one older and one younger. Typically my dog is seen by the older woman who has always been kind. I took my dog in for a nail trim like I've always done. I am confused on why the younger woman is taking my dog this time around as I thought she was only a receptionist. She takes my dog to the back and I wait in the front. A few minutes later she returns telling me my dog had pooped and peed everywhere while trimming her nails. I am in disbelief as my dog has NEVER done such a thing while getting her nails trimmed in her whole life and I have been going here for over two years. She then proceeds to tell me she had cut them accidentally too short. She cut nearly all my dog's nails...I had never seen them so short. She was bleeding as the quicks had been cut. I just can't understand why she didn't stop after the first paw?? The nails she cut were bleeding, surely my dog must have showed signs of discomfort so why not return to the front and let me know? Why keep going and willingly put my baby through all that pain? Absolutely unacceptable and cruel to a helpless animal. Updated Review: I am saddened to update this review, I have been a customer for the past four years bringing all 5 of my dogs here. I know happy tails has change ownership and with that come changes. The changes are ridiculous. I have been here for so long. Out of nowhere there prices change. My dog Luna is a medium size maltipoo. I have always paid 60 dollars for her and give a 10 dollar tip. Now today I drop Luna off I get a call from a woman that does not introduce herself, just call to tell me it will be 85 for Luna in addition 30 dollars for mating 20 dollars more because she saw ticks and in addition they are gonna charge me more to apply flea and tick shampoo. So the total now is 150 dollars. In addition the people that have groom my dog are no longer there and they keep having a high overturn in staff. Apparently the person that took over this business is money hungry and cannot run there business properly if they have a high rate of employees quitting and not showing up. In addition they only want cash or zelle now. They no longer want credit card payments. No wonder they have so much of availability people are leaving and going elsewhere. They do a great job however it's upsetting that I was quoted a certain price three weeks ago upon making the appointment, yesterday upon confirming the appointment was told a different (higher) price and today was quoted an even higher price due to supposed to change in management. Not sure who changes management overnight but I Ended up canceling the appointment. Again, they do a great job however the lack of professionalism and price accuracy (I think that they can improve on communication internally so that this does not happen to other customers) is the reason why I am not taking my dogs back. read more

Since it was her first groom, they recommended doing a mini grooming so that she doesn't get overwhelmed for her first time. I've been here about 5/6 times and today I went and they told me my dog was " aggressive " and bit a worker there and that they charged me a fee WITH NO PROOF OR EVIDENCE IT WAS MY ANIMAL !! and also the SAME lady told me he has no history of my dog being " aggressive " and it took them from 11:30 to 2 to get my dog out of the cage to groom him. i had 2 staff members approach me very aggressively demanding I pay them the fees when they had no proof . 1 staff members told me to look at the worker my dog " bit " hand but there's 6 other animals in there and still had no proof I had no problem paying if there was just some time of video proof . They called me and informed me that my dogs were done they took care of the dogs and me. Big recommend. 05/23/17 Review update. Ive returned to this location about 3 separate occasions. Depending on there work load they have accepted my pooches on same day notice. I recommend you call in advance. Now they have taken quite some time to get the cuts done but the dogs always come out looking great. They have about 4 different people that cut the dogs hairs. Unhappy with the service. I really tried to get past it but I just can't help but to be upset. I had to go somewhere else today to and get it fixed because it was just so terrible. My only suggestion to others is to show a picture of what you want done so that the groomer knows EXACTLY how you want it. I now have to wait idk how long for my dogs hair to grow back. They did give me the chance to bring him back to fix it which I appreciate but this was unfixable. He had to be completely shaved off which really sucked because I had said I didn't want it short at all :( . They said they did a teddy bear hair cut but this isn't it.... I'm just so sad. I brought my Peppered Scottish Terrier *Otis, here for a traditional Scottish cut with a little modifications on my part for summer, they did a GREAT job on the cut executed it perfectly I've had two groomers completely ruin my dogs winter coats growth so it was pretty much time wasted caring and maintaining his coat length. one had completely buzzed him from muzzle to paws yikes I was pissed. Overall I was completely satisfied with everything the ladies were super friendly and welcoming and looked at a few pictures I brought of my dog with a good cut she nailed it right on the head. This was our first actual attempt at a professional groom, normally we do it ourselves but we are never able to be 100% thorough. Even with my dog's emotional struggles, they made him comfortable enough to get through a full bath, and trimmed most of his fur... They were unable to get the lower parts of him, like his legs, which I expected would be the toughest. They called me to let me know how far they got and how well my dog, Pinto did, up til the legs. Also the price was not bad at all then what I've paid at other places. I requested a inch long puppy cut as well for them to trim his tail and legs evenly with his body and the groomer listened to every detail of what I wanted and achieved it perfectly. I've taken my fur baby here multiple times. We felt comfortable and she came back good. Today, we took her and it hit about 4 hours, no phone call. We call and we get a "oh yeah she's ready." So when was I supposed to expect a phone call? That's so unprofessional especially when we were one of the first to drop off our dog at the beginning of the day. I don't trust random people around my pup. On top of that, we pick her up and she is literally heat exhausted. The second she got home, she drank TWO bowls of water. did you guys put her outside for a long period of time? Leave her in the cage with the dryer? And we noticed her leash is all chewed up.
