Now that all the grand opening festivities are over you can actually walk around with no issues at all except when they're stocking shelves The food court was still busy as usual

I would like to highlight the food court. Definitely great value for the meal. I love the concept of just order and pay. When food is ready, you just pick it up. So it feels freshly made/prepared. Korean fried chicken was very well seasoned and they came hot (temperature). The sizzling sound of the hot stone korean bibimbap is super satisfying and the experience makes it taste better. Pho is good, although I would prefer it to have clearer broth. So grateful that this is available in the area!

I really wanted to like this store especially the amazing looking restaurant with an awesome looking restaurant that shows fresh bbq duck, crispy pork belly and bbq roast pork on display next to the order register. Service is slow because of how extremely busy they are so that's no factor in my review/star rating. I love me my bbq roasted pork which I make at home at least once a year with ribs and I have some seasonings in the cabinet at all times when the crave hits. So I wanted to order a single person lunch while I was there with a 1/2 pound of bbq roast pork and steamed pork dumplings. I finally get to to register and ordered a 1/2 pound of the bbq roast pork and I'm told it's only sold by the pound which is way too much for one person for lunch, WTF is that. Ok what ever give me one pound of the bbq roast pork and a order of the steamed pork dumplings. The steamed dumplings were great quality with a great shell and fresh ingredients inside that screams home made but the dipping sauce that looked like a soy sauce base but was actually a strong vinegar taste so I ate the dumplings Al natural. On to the bbq roast pork that looked amazing WTF it's refrigerated cold how they served it to me. I have had bbq roast pork for ever as a favorite and it's never been served cold. The dipping sauce was overwhelmingly just sweet and didn't complement the bbq roast pork. Overall I was not impressed with this restaurant when the West Allis Asian bbq lets you order a single size portion of bbq roast pork with an amazing complementing sauce that's addicting.

I went earlier in the morning so it wasn't yet crowded. The store was very clean and bright.( The lights were on!) They reminded me of Woodman's with such a wide variety of Asian foods. Not one brand of soy sauce, but 50! I liked everything was fresh including the meat department. And expiration dates were good (Not like another store) staff was helpful. I also purchased some Indian spices and a Boba in the way out. I plan on going back soon with my family.

This evening I was in the neighborhood, so my mom and I decided to stop on in Pan Asian Market! Here are details from my experience. 1. How did it look? The store was clean, had a lot going on, but organized. It was a lot to take in. I love visiting grocery stores frequented by different cultures because there's always so much variety! So many different staples items that I want to try! 2. Fresh veggies and Meat Their produce was fresh, with an expansive section of herbs. The seafood area was full of fresh fish and live seafood. The meat section had unique cuts not typically found at Pick 'n Save or Walmart. We saw full chickens with the head and feet, duck heads, duck feet and much more. 3. Variety!! I appreciated the full aisle dedicated to teas, along with their wide variety of rice, beans, and other legumes. They also have a boba tea stand and a hot deli with a huge menu. Oh and everyone's food looked delicious! I would call this a great first impression. We were full from an earlier event, otherwise we would've ordered food to go. So to answer your question......Yes, I'll be back! I can't wait to come back with my husband. Next time, I'd love to buy all the ingredients for pho and try making it at home. A plus is they even carry frozen shaved meats that are perfect for pho or hibachi

The good: nice to have more choices for Asian groceries. Hopefully more asian grocers means better competitive pricing & more variety. Clean large store. The meh: lots of different cuisines means product lines might be a bit watered down for each nationality. This is more evident in the "dining" areas where staff are tasked to make Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese dishes & drinks well, which can be a challenge. Keep expectations low. Generally, prices are OK though prices are not 100% identified on the shelves. Small tweaks would improve the store greatly.

This place is amazingly clean and is huge! There isn't just Asian food they also stock Indian, Middle Eastern and everything in between There is a noodle shop I'm dying to check out next time. I was there in the morning and it doesn't open until 10:30 am. There is also fresh sushi which is another thing I'll be trying there. Even with all of the fresh seafood there is no lingering smell. Produce is fresh and plentiful. It's definitely my new go to Asian market.

Pan-Asian Supermarket is the newest Asian grocery store in the Milwaukee area, having opened around July 2025. This was my first visit, and it's easily the largest Asian supermarket in the city. The store carries a wide variety of groceries, including fresh fruits, leafy greens, and other produce, as well as many snacks like Lay's chips, cookies, and a broad selection of Asian sauces. There's also a café inside that serves boba teas and milk teas. The only downside I noticed is that prices are noticeably higher than other Asian grocery stores, particularly if you've shopped at larger stores in Chicago like Jungbu or H Mart. That said, if you haven't visited yet, it's worth checking out--its size means it has the most extensive selection and variety in Milwaukee. There's also a huge parking lot, so finding a spot is never an issue.

39 minute wait by the time we got our food
    Elizabeth Y.

I grew up going to H-Mart, Lotte, and another Pan-Asia store so my expectations are high. However, I also know this is Milwaukee--so I lowered them a bit. Also, I realized they just opened less than two weeks ago. First I went to get lunch. We ordered gal-bi and stone bibimbap. It wasn't very busy at the cafe when we went so we thought the food would take about 15 minutes. Usually the cafes in these places are pretty quick. We literally waited 39 minutes for our food. The taste was pretty good but I was annoyed how long it took for just two dishes when only one person was waiting before we got there. The shelves weren't completely stocked yet and it just looked really chaotic and unorganized, unfortunately. Not sure why it opened if they didn't have things in stock yet on the menu or shelves. Plus there was a sign that said the Boba section was closed from 3-4pm (or 4-5)...which was a little odd. I wanted to love it here but honestly, with the prices being higher than what I could get at some other places, I'd rather just go to Chicago and visit H-Mart or the other stores down there. While this place was highly advertised and hyped up, it really fell short for me due to all these reasons. The bakery setup was cute but they didn't have much of a selection. However, they did have great coconut Hokkaido, which is the only thing exceptional I had here. I hope they start doing better and realize that they will need to be more efficient and organized...so I'll try them again in several months after the newness wears off.

Well, this would be a first for me - a review for a grocery store! But it warrants some words! I was so excited to hear this was opening. I ended up going on day #2- and it was SUPER crowded. Parking is convenient, and there are about 6 or so checkouts - and they were all full, with long lines. I stopped by on a lunch break - and the line for the food was super long - and because of that I didn't have time to grab any food - will have to return another time when it is less busy to sample the food there. I did grab some frozen samosas from the freezer to take back to the office to eat - and those were good and made a quick lunch. I was amazed at all of the offerings in the store. The produce aisle was full of a variety of vegetables and fruits that you can't get at your local supermarket, and I loved seeing the variety. I even saw sugar cane stalks in a shopping cart, available for purchase. There were several varieties of mangos. It was just so busy and crowded there wasn't opportunity to browse too much. The seafood selection is large. I didn't make it down every aisle. The store aisles are large, well lit, and with signage. I can't wait to go back and explore and try new things. I'm glad this is in town - obviously it is filling a need as there are huge crowds of people shopping. I look forward to returning and exploring more.

Man, I was excited to visit the restaurant within Pan-Asia Supermarket. Having another food option not far from work is always appreciated, especially one that sells duck. I placed an order to go for beef lo mein and roast duck with white rice. I don't know if I've ever felt more ripped off than with their duck. Almost all of it was neck, so very little meat, and the skin was soft instead of crispy so I couldn't even enjoy that. Whatever sauce came with the white rice was decent, but white rice shouldn't be the highlight of a meal featuring duck. The noodles and veggies in the beef lo mein were fine, but the beef was a little mushy and not marinated in any way. You can tell it wasn't great quality beef. I'd maybe get this again with chicken, but certainly not beef. The store has only been open for a week and it shows. Half of the appetizers and items listed under "Special and Snack" say "coming soon", but I was told the potstickers were unavailable as well even though they weren't listed as such. Also, the register was having printer issues so the person that was handing out orders was trying to help the cashier fix it. Unfortunately, that meant food was piling up and a long wait ensued. If I go back, it's not going to be until the hype slows down and/or they get processes down more smoothly.

My cousin and I came here - first week open - and it seems like everyone and their brother (not just of Asian descent) are super excited about this place. First order of business was lunch. The line was super long for a weekday. We placed our order for 2 bulgogi plates and some steamed dumplings. Our dumplings came out first. They were really yummy. They are actually made fresh which is so impressive! We waited a long time for our other food because of some mishap in the kitchen. Good thing my schedule was fairly open and the bulgogi was worth the wait. After lunch we went grocery shopping. I found a lot of items need to fill my Filipino food cravings. Wow! I guess I don't have to drive all the way down to Chicago anymore! I will definitely be back. Aside from the lunch delay, we were happy with our experience.

Stopped by Pan Asia grocery and cafe in West Allis on their opening day. The grocery side was absolutely packed, so I skipped shopping and headed to the café for lunch instead. As expected on a grand opening, the line was long. I ordered the beef bibimbop and Vietnamese spring rolls, both were fresh and flavorful, definitely a highlight. However, the service and setup still need work. There were no clean tables available and no staff visibly assigned to clear or wipe them down, which made it hard to find a place to sit and enjoy the food. I sat at a table with a bunch of dirty plates/bowls as it was the only table. Nobody came to clean my table the entire time I was there. Also, there was no obvious option for drinking water, only the Boba station around the corner was offering beverages. When I asked, I was directed to a drinking fountain on the far end of the grocery store, which wasn't ideal while trying to eat lunch. At the very least, they should have bottled water to purchase when you pay for your food. It's clear they're still figuring things out, and the energy and potential are definitely there, but right now, the logistics and customer experience could use some attention. I'll be curious to see how they improve once the initial rush settles down.

Food: They have a large selection of breakfast pastries, including scones, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, and more. There are also some savory items, such as a rosemary biscuit. It was a tough choice, but when in doubt, I go for a scone, and they had a Maple Cinnamon one. I had it warmed up a bit, and it was delicious. These scones are not muffins in disguise, which means the texture is a bit drier and more crumbly--perfect alongside a hot beverage. For my drink, I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. I was hoping to have it served in an actual ceramic mug, but those are only offered to customers who order drip coffee. That said, they made a very good London Fog, with a little extra lavender and plenty of foam. For my taste, it could have been a bit hotter. Service: Everyone who helped us was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of time to choose the perfect pastries. When ordering the London Fog, they explained how they make theirs and how they would add the extra lavender, which I appreciated. As mentioned above, they do not provide mugs for specialty drinks, using mugs instead to keep track of customers who have paid for bottomless drip coffee. I could bring my own mug from home, but I am not a fan of carrying around coffee shop essentials. Atmosphere: The building is nicely designed on the outside and sits on a corner with plenty of large windows that bring in natural light. It faces north, so you avoid the glaring morning sun. Upon entering, there is a short walk to the counter, where you can view all of the bakery and pastry items. A menu board above clearly displays the breakfast and lunch offerings, making it easy for first time visitors. There are numerous tables that accommodate small groups, and a fireplace with a couple of upholstered chairs offers a cozy seating option. Even after filling up with customers, the noise level was very good, and easy to have casual conversations. A nice visit and a place I would enjoy coming back to.
