Seriously, probably some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Was not expecting to say that in Kaua'i I tried to order online multiple times, but the website said they weren't accepting online orders. I tried to call, but never got an answer. So I went down here one evening around 6:30pm and as I was preparing to order, was informed they were SOLD OUT! Wow! So a couple days later, we went back down there earlier and were able to order a half Hawaiian and half sausage only large pizza. My daughter got a Dr Pepper and I got an Aloha Pineapple Orange juice while we waited for our order. There's minimal parking in front and there's street parking as well. The place is cute with a decent amount of seating inside. The pizza was New York style, super thin crust! So flavorful and delicious! We also got a couple sides of ranch and their ranch is fantastic! Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

We found this place as we were looking for dinner and decided to go with pizza. Sure glad we did we because we found this awesome place. We ordered a large pepp pizza and a garden salad and it was amazing. There were two options for the pizza, New York or Detroit style and we went with NY. It was so good! It was thin and had a nice crisp to it. The salad was super fresh and the ranch was yummy. Aside from the food, which was amazing, the service was great. The guy at the front was super friendly and was nice to talk to while we waited for our pizza. I think his name was Josh or John? Anyways, he was a cool guy! The place itself was very clean and had plenty of seating. Highly recommend giving them a try!

We had a hankering for pizza, and stumbled upon this place in Kapa'a Town. It's in a rather non-descript building, with a very small amount of seating inside, near the bulk of the downtown shops. The pizza was surprisingly good. Good enough, in fact, we're likely to be back the next time we come to town. My girlfriend is vegetarian, and asked if we could have the Hawaiian, but substitute mushrooms and jalapeno for the ham (with plenty of pineapple, of course). The server happily accommodated. It's a "New York" kine pizza, thin crust but ample cheese. It was really good! We noticed other folks that day getting their Detroit deep dish, which also looked good. We may try that the next time we're by. Note: they do sell pizza by the slice. For the thin crust, there are only two options: pepperoni and cheese. For the Detroit slices, they'll make them to order, so there are more options. Also note: there is very limited parking out front, but more up and down the street.

Best pizza to have! Coming from Cali we have a lot of good pizza. This is the perfect sauce ratio and generous on the pepperoni! Perfectly light and filling all at the same time! Great service and very clean! Definetly would come back next trip

Hands down one of the best pizzas I've had in my life! Francisco knows what he is doing! Much love from Las Vegas, NV!

Phenomenal pizza. You can tell the guy making the pizza really cared about his craft. Fresh ingredients, crispy crust and cheese on top. The pepperoni was delicious. So happy the other pizza joint we were gonna check out was closed because this pizza slapped. Hit the spot. 10/10

The first time we drove by, the name made us chuckle...(Poncho's Pizza is sorta like Guido's Tacos, right?). But one evening we were in the mood for pizza so we came to Poncho's. Wow, did we enjoy our pie! I've never had jalapeños slices on a pizza before, but I'm a huge fan now. I think our pizza was New York style thin crust called the Waimea. Anyways, the sit-down area is not the best Hawaii offers, so we drove our boxed pie directly across the street then turned left and parked 20 feet from the ocean. What a fine meal that turned out to be. And by the way, the other half of our pie became breakfast pizza and once again, it was outstanding (our test for quality pizza ingredients is how does it taste the next morning). It passed our test.

My sister and I are New Yorkers born and raised, and Pancho's NY pizza was right on the nose! We shared the GMO pizza and absolutely LOVED it! The seating is indoors and more than enough space (there are 2 high tables for six people each, a bar seating area for five people each, and three tables for four people each) Overall, we would come back! It was great to speak with the front of house who was from NoLA!

On my Monday visit, I placed a phone order and got a large pizza: * 1/2 Deluxe (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, green bell peppers, red onion, black olives, mushrooms, tomatoes) * 1/2 Meat Lovers (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, meatballs, bacon, Italian sausage) For the Friday visit, I ordered online because the restaurant was busy and phone orders were on hold. I ordered two pasta dishes: Spinach Raviolis (with creamy marinara sauce) and Lasagna. The restaurant called to inform me that they were out of both the Raviolis and the traditionally-made Classic Lasagna. They offered to make two Seafood Lasagnas instead. I have to say that both the pizza and the lasagna were absolutely flavorful and delicious! For the pizza, I loved the taste of the fresh ingredients; each bite was super delectable. The pasta dish was also unique and tasty. I don't typically see restaurants offering a Seafood Lasagna, and the execution was top-tier in my book. The interior of the restaurant was nice and cozy, with several tables and chairs. The staff members were pleasantly kind, and all of the food was fairly priced. Overall, I highly recommend Vivi's Pizza & Pasta for incredible pizza and pasta.

The side salad was good too--nothing extraordinary, but fresh and enjoyable. The calzone was tasty, although if I had one small criticism, it was a bit too heavy on the cheese. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were the only disappointment. They were very soft and slimy, whereas I prefer wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. That said, the pizza alone is worth coming back for. I enjoyed it so much that I'll definitely be returning the next time I visit Kauaʻi.

Both times we visited, the waitstaff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and greeted us with warm, beautiful smiles. We paired the burger with the Island Lager. It had a very crisp, clean taste that complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommended! On our second night, we tried the pizza. Being from California, we're spoiled with some amazing wood-fired pizza places, but hands down--this pizza was absolutely delicious. The dough was soft and clearly handmade rather than ready-made, and the cheese and pepperoni were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend BV's for both the fantastic food and the stellar service!

This place has an extensive Italian menu, and a huge drink menu showcasing a vast collection of bourbon. All of which is wildly overpriced, which is to be expected in this context. No complaints there. It's the Italian menu. Well, not really the menu...the cooking is horrific. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. A 16" thin crust which should have been a nice treat on an island with no shortage of fresh chickens and pineapple, and with a solid love of BBQ. The waitress was friendly and I was very optimistic. We also ordered some salad. The food came out quickly. First the salad. The lettuce was flimsy. The salad dressing was tasteless. It was basically some limp green lettuce and coarse chopped bell peppers. The salad was disappointing, to say the least - you have to seriously not give a rip to make a salad that boring. Then the main event! The pizza arrived. Complete with that nifty metal rack thing they bring out so that your pizza seems to hover over your table. The table did not have red pepper flakes, extra cheese or even salt and pepper - which I figured was a good sign. It looked OK: small chunks of chicken spread thinly across a 16" pizza, with small pineapple chunks (all of which were strangely uniform in size) and a pretty generous splattering of BBQ sauce mixed into the melted mozzarella. I sliced myself a slab of that pie and got ready to eat! One bite told me everything I needed to know. The uniformly shaped pineapple chunks had that telltale slightly metallic flavor because...IT CAME FROM A CAN! Hawaiian sacrilege! Then the BBQ sauce hit. I couldn't tell if it was from unsold McRib sandwiches, KC Masterpiece, or a jug of plain wrap BBQ SAUCE from the Big Save Market. It wasn't good. Then I reached the crust, which seemed like it came out of one of those Pillsbury tubes you get at the store and smack on your kitchen counter to get it to pop open. Nice for wrapping hot dogs for 7 year olds, not so great for pizza dough. The Hawaiian criminal code should include a felony for serving canned pineapple to unsuspecting pizza eaters. Bobby V's doesn't even have a beautiful Hawaiian vibe going for them. The ambiance is the disastrous hell hole called the Coconut Marketplace - a pointless commercial development where they ripped out real Hawaii and built simulated Hawaii. There are several other restaurants walking distance from this place, and even a McDonald's that's not so that far away; even the egg salad from a dispenser in the men's room at a nearby gas station is probably better than the pizza we ate (and it might make you a genius!) While attempting to eat a piece of their awful pizza - I watched as several plates of very overcooked pasta were served at nearby tables. The pasta was clearly very mushy and it didn't smell very good either. Perhaps they serve good desserts, depending on what's on sale at Costco. The beer was good...but someone else made that. Don't just skip Bobby V's, run! Run! And warn the others. I'm an absolutely hard pass on this place and you should be too. UPDATE: We got home from our trip and put together a Costco pizza kit for a late dinner. It was 10X better than Bobby V's pie, and cost about $3.

For dinner, we ordered the Hawaiian pizza and chef's veggies to share. The pizza was topped with kalua pork, pineapple, scallions, and a unique sauce. Pretty good. We wanted to eat some greens so we asked about the chef's veggies. It was roasted broccoli, bell pepper, and squash. Delicious and seasoned well. For drinks, I ordered a green-tini and my mom got a virgin lava lava flow. I actually preferred her drink over mine. The green-tini had a nice kick to it. Can definitely taste the jalapeño. The virgin lava lava flow was sweet and creamy. Perfect way to end the night! The restaurant and bar definitely get crowded, but there's plenty of space inside and outside. You can get a nice view of the beach. The weather is always good, so we sat outside. The bartender was also super kind and checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything else. They also have lawn games to keep you entertained while waiting for your table, which makes the wait much more enjoyable. We didn't have a reservation and waited about 30 minutes, but it wasn't a problem. We grabbed cocktails at the bar, and they were outstanding. They are definitely on the expensive side, but they were beautifully made, well-balanced, and worth the splurge. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. Between the oceanfront setting, live music, and friendly, attentive service, it's a wonderful place to spend an evening. The food, however, was a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered the coconut shrimp, and unfortunately they were overfried--quite dark and a little too crispy for my taste. My husband enjoyed his teriyaki steak with rice, so that was a much better choice. We also tried the calamari, which was just okay. The pieces were small, heavily breaded, and fried. I've definitely had better calamari elsewhere. Overall, I think you're paying as much for the incredible location, atmosphere, and service as you are for the food. I'm glad we went, and I would recommend visiting at least once for the beautiful setting, tropical cocktails, and live music. Just know that, in our experience, there are other restaurants on Kauai where the food is the real star. Would I return? Yes--for the view, the cocktails, and the atmosphere. For the food alone, I'd probably explore some of Kauai's other excellent local restaurants first.
