I saw the reviews. But I also saw the parking lot with several cars at all times of the afternoon and evening if I drive by. So I decided to stop in. There weren't many people eating in for a late Friday lunch (less than $13). But there were several people streaming in and out, off n on getting food to go ($9/lb). The booths and tables looked clean. Serving tables where food sits were also clean. From the huge chandelier to the etched glass partitions, the ambiance was calm, quiet, and easy going. The food, it's a large variety of Asian dishes, seafood and desserts. What I ate was good - not great - but decent, especially for less than the price I'd pay for a fast food large combo meal without a dessert. read more

Its been a week and my stomach still aint right. About ten minutes after leaving I knew i was gonna have some bubble guts. Upon arriving home I didnt even stop to pet the dogs welcoming me home, as I was in a mad dash for the stool. I tried it once and dont believe I'm gonna gamble with my interior of my vehicle like that again. I always come here for the garlic green beans, hits every time. The sit down is pretty good, servers are attentive. I love they have a to-go box policy though. You come in, to the left are boxes that you grab, take whatever you need and weigh at the front. Perfect for a quick lunch bite. read more

I visited Panda Bear restaurant a few months ago. I tried a bit of most of the dishes on the buffet. Sadly, they had some of the most bland dishes I have tried on any Chinese buffet. A couple other reviewers took care of the details about why the buffet just isn't worth your time or money. There really isn't much else I can add to what they already wrote. We ate at Panda Bear in Griffin , Georgia on December 13 at about 11:15 am we were finishing up our meal and waiting for a refill on our drinks. The waitress finally came by the table to give us one . She saw several of the sanitary gloves on the table and had the nerve to tell us to clean the table before we left. After my initial visit here, I tried it on two other occasions. Everything was cold and old and probably had mold. It was absolutely terrible. I take back all of the good things I said in my first review. I definitely recommend you steer clear of this place. Although it is not a buffet place, if you are jonesing for Good chinese hit the joint 1/2 mile down the road in N. Griffin Square. Much better place. read more

This is the best Chinese buffet in Griffin, but not the best Chinese food (see Good City review). If you want a buffet, I would definitely recommend this one. It has a large variety of Chinese food, some American, and even a little sushi. I really like that they have sushi. The food usually tastes very fresh. But, I do reccomemnd that you go when it is busy. The busier it is the fresher the food. The decor is really strange for a Chinese restaurant ,but it is very open with lots of windows. One thing that really upsets me about this place is thay now charge about 12 dollars for dinner. I think that is outrageous, so you will only be seeing me there for lunch. read more

Best Chinese food in Griffin! Large, clean, well-lit interior with lots of windows. Extensive buffet, very large, that not only offers a wide variety of delicious chinese dishes (my mouth is watering for the egg rolls!), but also some regular food for those who don't like chinese, such as fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, baked salmon. The last buffet bar is actually Japanese sushi, like california rolls, cucumber rolls, etc. A large salad bar, and a fruit and dessert bar (plus the mandatory buffet soft-serve machine!). Polite, efficient servers. Great price/value. They have a large, nice meeting room in the back. I've been back there several times and still gotten great service. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! Banana pudding was some of the best I ever had. Best buffet I have had that I can ever remember. However, had stayed away for about a year cause last visit was a lot lacking (food didn't look fresh, missing dish items etc). Now this was like a different place. Again everything was wonderful. I've been coming here about 3 years now. At first the food was really good, and the place was quite popular. My family of 5 went yesterday, and when we pulled in the nearly empty parking lot on a Saturday evening, we had had second thoughts about going in. We should have gone across the way to Ryan's instead. The food had very obviously been sitting out for hours. It was all very dry, some of it to the point of being inedible. There were many dishes that we took one bite of and then pushed away. I feel like we are all really lucky we didn't come down with food poisoning. The staff at Panda Bear used to be all Asian, but now are Hispanic. I think they must have changed owners, and the food has really suffered. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! read more
