They don't close at 10:30. I got here at 10 and the doors were locked and all the workers were packing up the food to go into containers. So instead of getting that I went next-door to chipotle but as I walked back to the car from getting chipotle, noticed a few people walk up to the panda express door as I did, and and realize that the doors are locked. read more

I've been to this location 3 times and every time Robert has been such a lovely person to interact with. He's always bright eyed. I was waiting for the chicken and string beans to be ready and Robert walked over to tell me it was ready. I normally go right as it's opening and quite actually could be mistaken for a homeless person if I hadn't gotten dressed for the day. Robert is always SO kind and helpful. I never write reviews and had to remind myself to write this one. He deserves a promotion and a raise! This review is mainly for their customer service because everyone knows if you want authentic Chinese food, Panda Express ain't it. Haven't been to a Panda Express in over three years (partly because when I worked next door to one, it was more often than not that I would have it for lunch) & had a sudden craving for it. Went during dinner rush so I expected a wait time. We were third in line & it did take awhile due to a difficult customer. Based on my observations, the employees handled her multiple all-over-the-place demands professionally & courteously. I was even more impressed when I was being assisted - all the servers were nice & seemed happy to be there. The cashier was super sweet & bubbly, I could practically see her smile behind her mask. Food itself wasn't as good as I remembered, but it was enough to satisfy my craving for probably another few years. Working in any industry that requires dealing with the general public isn't easy, throw in the pandemic & it can be a nightmare. So be nice, people! read more

Cheap franchise owner that skimps the crap out of portions. I've been to several pandas in my life as I love this fast food joint but this one spot is sadly the skimpiest in their portions. I Dont know why there's a line all the time because after you see their portion sizes to a regular panda joint, you never want to come back. Maybe it's because of the good area. But this panda is good the good was good and fresh. The staff was very nice. I should have taken a pic. Trust me this panda is better than many others around, again a lot of you know who's come here lol. This is my place now. The teriyaki chicken meat is definitely different. I've been eating here for awhile, mostly in 2019/2020 right before covid. I would only get the string bean chicken and white rice so that's all I can attest for. The customer service is always great! My food was always good too. It's Panda Express and they're pumping out orders every second so you gotta cut them some slack. Today was my first day back since 2020 because their Wok-Fired shrimp is back finally! I was scared to go back because of all these reviews, but it's exactly how I remembered! The service was great!! No one was rude. When a customer asked for more chow mein the server obliged. I asked another server who wasn't busy if I could have more veggies and she gave me more too. Gosh, I haven't eaten at a Panda Express in years. I'm probably not going back for a while just because it's not really my thing, but for fast food, Downey's was pretty decent. The line was longish at around 7:00 p.m. on 10/26/14, but it moved quickly once a few people up front quit taste-testing every frickin' entree. It's cool that Panda Express lets you do that because I don't remember an employee offering that back in the day when I first walked up to the counter. I have kids now, though, so I could be forgetting stuff... The layout has a nice flow for ordering. The menus still suck, though, but who really looks at it anyway. I ordered Orange Chicken, Honey Sesame Chicken, and fried rice. My meal was $6.70 with $.60 tax. My to-go box was packed pretty well. They didn't skimp on anything. I tried ordering online before I came here, though, and the app was being slow. That's not on my phone anymore. I was out in less than 10 minutes which was fine. I dislike this parking lot especially at night. It's not well-lit and most of the spots in front are taken. And I don't try to park up close unless it's nighttime and/or I have my kiddos with me. I went here after a long time. Place looks great. I ordered chowmein, vege spring rolls and eggplant tofu. When I ate it everything had a bitter after taste. I ask for a bit more chow mein and they look at me like I'm crazy. Once I was in front of a customer who asked for more broccoli. BROCCOLI! To start off with the portions that they give you are way less then other pandas I've gone to. Not only that but the refresher that they have, I kindly asked the worker no ice and without letting me know she put ice when I clearly told her no ice! She did the opposite and I had mentioned to her that I didn't want ice because I was sick and proceeded to leave the ice and say "I have to put ice" it was ridiculous I told her she can put less juice if that was the issue, but she said she had to put ice regardless. It's pretty lousy Chinese food as far as Chinese food goes, but Downey Chinese joints are dirty dumps so I refuse to eat at any b-rated whole in the wall with roaches and God knows what else. The employees seem to be hustling but I guess everyone just likes this overrated, over sauced, sodium overload Chinese stuff these days $7 for a two-item plate and $9 for a three-item plate. Good drink selection. I don't drink soda so I appreciate the occasional fresh brewed tea and the zero calorie sobe drink. All-in-all, the food is okay. Nothing to write home about.
