All of the food we ordered was cold by the time we picked it up. The orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and honey sesame chicken breast were not fresh and had become soggy. In particular, the mushroom chicken contained many tough, not chewable pieces that were difficult to eat, and we ended up having to throw much of it away. Full disclosure: I came in about twenty minutes before closing. That's on me, and I take responsibility for that. However, I would rather them tell me they were closed than let me in and serve me, considering how they treated me. First, I had to wait for a few minutes while they stopped cleaning for me. I can't believe what I saw today! The manager is welcome to reach out to me and I will call you. When I was trying to place my order, what appeared to be a shift manager, walked up to the young lady, helping me, whispered something in her ear, while looking at a young lady and her child. The employee looked at that young lady as well. Then they noticed me noticing. This young lady had paid for her meal, went to the bathroom to, I assume, wash her hands. An employee came up to her shortly after I left, said something to her, and I watched it from my car. The next thing I know this young lady is leaving with her child. I don't want to make a false accusation or assumption but I did not see that young lady doing anything wrong. The kid had played with a wet floor cone on the floor until Momma said stop. She was cordial with me. The child was sweet and happy. When I walked in around 314 Friday I was in a black shirt and jeans. This should allow you to validate who I am on camera. Came in on a Tuesday evening. I asked the gentleman behind the counter which dish had the most heat. He advised that it would be the Kung Pao Chicken - so I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. Being a Chili aficionado - I wasn't under any illusion about how spicy this would be - given the nature of Panda Express. And of course, this was the case. It was a solid offering for what it was. brand new panda express location! very convenient for Gainesville and Haymarket area, no longer have to drive to Manassas. Plenty of parking spaces and way less congested. Since it's newly built, everything is super clean and very modern. Large windows for that open vibe and you can see into the open kitchen are as well. Food was delicious and your standard panda express taste, which I personally enjoy. Food was also warm and fresh and quantity was plentiful. Staff were all very nice and welcoming! The staff behind the counter was hustling and doing a good job. We were served promptly and politely. The food was fresh and good. What an amazing new place in an up and coming area in Gainesville! The venue is very clean and the staff is super friendly. For those that are new to Panda Express, the options can be a little overwhelming. What type of base do I want? What time of entree? You really can't go wrong. Since we got two bowls, we decided to mix it up. One with the Chow Mein noodles with their ever popular orange chicken. The other with fried rice and their spicy Kung Pao chicken. Both bowls were delicious and made to order. This batch was not too saucy and everything had good texture and bite. The restaurant was incredibly busy so the staff was continuously pumping out freshly prepared food. I saw a few folks get the honey walnut shrimp and the black pepper steak. I was excited about this location but if you want quality, fresh and consistently good food and service visit the Manassas location I arrived before closing and was greeted by Jocelyn who told me "there ain't much left" when I looked everything was dried up, crusted or empty and the bar was absolutely gross looking . I watched as a customer in front of me was being served the scraps it was disgusting. Jocelyn was yelling to the staff "hurry up let's get out of here" the staff seems to have no management leadership and is very unprofessional. Drove up to the parking lot at 10:31, we looked at their hours and it said on the door 10:30 open. I get out of the car to open the door and to my luck it is locked. I wait until 10:36 before I finally see an employee unlock the door. I walk in and they still were not ready to serve customers until 10:45. 15 minutes after opening! Another family walks in after me as I'm waiting in line to be served. The family cuts me and the employees still serve that family first anyway despite me being the first one in the building. The girl who I could only assume was the manager 10/24 @7pm spend the entire time we were at the restaurant screaming at all the employees at a volume the entire room could hear. She then proceeded to publicly yell at 2 of the employees at the cash register in-front of the guests. Walked in at 755 today and they were out of sweet fire chicken, orange chicken, another chicken dish, and had 6 shrimp left. They were also out of rice. It was not crowded at all. The kid serving stated they weren't making any more food for the rest of the night besides the rice. He also stated they were open til 9 or 930. He wasn't sure. Found out (when I went to the movies) that this place was now open. I indulge once in a while but always buy their small a la carte items . . . which is how I can indulge. So I signed up and used their app. Ordered 3 or 4 smalls. Had them delivered. Did this twice. Then on my third attempt I was blocked from reordering (what a convenient app feature . . . for me anyway . . . as I am a creature of habit). The smallest you are allowed to buy now is a "medium". I assume since they offer small's this is a money decision which does not reflect well on this restaurant in my opinion . . . from a health vantage point . . . so I haven't and won't be ordering again. I am so excited you guys are finally in my area. I came in on Sunday with my daughter and such great energy. I ordered the orange chicken and it was spectacular with some cream cheese Rangoon. The lady that was serving me was so nice and the cashier lady with glasses too. The only thing is the sitting area was a bit messy. Definitely will be coming back for that orange chicken. read more
