Okay, I have to admit that one of my guilty pleasures is eating at Panda Express. Something about their deep fried orange chicken makes me crave it when I see their signs. Although I do try to stray away from it because of its unhealthiness. I was starving after shopping at the Legends & Nebraska Furniture Mart all day. Panda Express was close by and so it was an simple choice. It was dinner time and most of their food selections were running low or looked like they were there for a while. The employees were less than friendly and just wanted to get us out. We asked for brown fried rice (who knew they had brown fried rice??) but one of the employees stated that they were out and needed to make some more. We waited and another employee asked us if we were ready. We told her about waiting for the brown rice and she points to the tray labeled "Classic Fried Rice" and said "Oh, this is it right here." Confused, we decided to take it. The taste of the food was expected and I was satisfied after eating it though I could have sworn that the rice was white rice, not the brown rice as we asked for. I don't think I've ever gone to a Panda Express and had great customer service, but I this one was particularly on the low end of Panda service. read more

every time i come here my order is wrong. they also never add pineapple into my sweet and fire chicken breast, and when i do ask if they have pineapple they always respond with attitude and yes "ummm yes? it's in the recipe for the sweet fire chicken breast." they have also replaced my entree of choice multiple times with their Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken which is absolutely terrible and it was put into a kids meal? service is absolutely terrible and they take one order in the drive thru at a time, so it sometimes takes up to 15 minutes to get food for just two cars in front of you. read more

Asked for a large order of Lo Mein and a Bigger plate with Lo mein/Teriaki chicken/ and original orange chicken. Received A small side of Lo Mein and a bigger plate with just chicken and no Lo Mein. Repeated the order to them multiple times to make sure they understood what we wanted, because they appeared confused at first. The employees at this location lack attention to detail, it's not the first time that I've had an order not made accurately. I've even had issues with orders not being made accurately when ordering through the app. It is a shame, because I live so close to this location- but I'd rather drive to the next county and have it made correctly. I'm very disappointed with my experience. I visited on Friday evening, February 20, 2026, about 30 minutes before closing, and Viviana made us feel like we were an inconvenience from the start. When my friend asked for an unsweet tea, she curtly said they were already put away. She then asked for lemonade and was told those were gone too. When we asked for sauce, Viviana rolled her eyes and huffed, which felt very unprofessional and rude. Customer service should still matter, even close to closing time. My dine-in lunch experience was very good. My two entree plate ($7.30) included my favorite teriyaki chicken (mmm!), along with black pepper chicken, and I split the side (no extra charge) for 1/2 fried rice, and 1/2 mixed veggies. The portions were very generous, and everything was fresh and delicious. The dining area was spacious and clean with background music and TVs, while the service at the counter was welcoming, efficient, and cheerful. This location has a drive-thru and a covered patio. This is my go to panda and they always give me fresh food and great size portions. Which was an issue I had at another location before. I tend to like local mom and pop Asian shops better and will opt for one of them most of the time but this location because of the service and quality will get my business on occasion. read more

This is a pretty standard fast food Chinese for when you're in a hurry. It's not a place to take someone out to dinner, or to look for good Chinese food. It is what it is... fast food Chinese. There are a few vegetarian options here, such as the spring rolls, the steamed vegetables, vegetable fried rice, and even the cream cheese Rangoon... yep, that's right, they don't even put fish (aka imitation crab) in their Rangoon. We have eaten here three times (my wife and I). Technically we have just gotten takeout, actually. We get it before the Sporting KC game and take it to the parking lot. The food is never ready when we get there (we do online orders) and is always 5-15 minutes late. This last time we weren't given to-go silverware. What? So, imagine a Panda Express. Now imagine Panda Express as a scrappy kid in the Hunger Games that has pretty much no chance of surviving. That's this store. They're constantly either "out of something" or "sorry we need 10 minutes to make this" (and by 10 minutes they mean an eternity). My first time at Panda Express and I asked a question and Marissa D was super rude. She wouldn't explain anything. She rolled her eyes when we said we weren't ready. Then when my husband went to pay she yelled " Your card got declined" and when we looked down it clearly said approved so I questioned her and with all the attitude in the world she said " It said declined the first time" like what? I'm fully willing to admit that we went and ordered 30 mins before closing so I wasn't expecting much in terms of food quality but I'm pregnant and what baby wants baby gets. That being said they completely screwed up our order. They gave us the wrong entrees and forgot part of our order entirely. This would've been fine if they have made amends but instead when I called back to let them know the mistakes they had made they at first didn't answer the phone. I read all of the other reviews and honestly, I cannot agree. Everyone has their own experience and mine is pretty decent. I have never had to wait too long in the drive-thru and as far as customer service, all the employees I dealt with are nice, friendly and personable. My only beef is the extra charge for shrimp orders and only receiving 7 shrimp for that cost. That certainly bugs me, but I don't get it when I don't want to pay it..problem solved. But I have enjoyed eating there and will continue to do so. read more

This was the worst panda express I've experienced. First, there were minimal choices of options as they were out and didn't have more to cook. Once paid, we went for the soda machine to fill up and grab a fork. There were no forks... after requesting they said they had none in the building to provide. What no forks at panda? Then when getting a soda, they were out of ice. So now we had to eat with a spoon and no ice in my drink. When I was ready for a refill, I went to the soda machine and it was down. After getting the attendant's attention, she walked over without speaking to me and turned a key and walked away. Wow, so not only were they out things, there was bad customer service. By the way, when I went to throw out my trash, they were so full from not being emptied, I had to leave it all on the top. Food was cold too, hope I don't get sick. First time reviewer. Look, all you purists, get off your high Ming Dynasty Terra Cotta Horses...or something like that. For fast food, this place ain't bad. Most of us know, this isn't a fabulous, authentic, Chinese restaurant, but it purveys some of the flavors and textures we all associate with Chinese and still identify the ingredients, you don't have to go in, sit down, slog through a buffet or wait. I spent $41 for dinner for the family. When I got home I noticed that they didn't give me the 2 orders of crab Rangoon that I paid for. I called them and I was told that they would give me a free entree to make up for their mistake along with the rangoons that I already paid for. Most of the time that I go here I am not disappointed. I love chinese food and panda has a nice little twist to theirs. I love that it has no MSG. They do take a little bit longer in the drive through, but they do make everything fresh in the back and you can see them preparing food if you are inside. I especially love their honey walnut shrimp, Tasty! Every time that I have gone they are always really friendly. If I have the time to go inside I do. It is always nice and clean and seem to have at least one space open to sit down, plus when the weather is nice they have outdoor seating (LOVE). I really enjoy the food and service here and reccommened definetly going. read more
