Staff was rude when taking my order to begin with, but i didn't pay any mind because honestly i didn't care at first. I got the new sesame chicken; there was a small portion left in the bowl and i ended up getting 5 pieces of chicken and the lady left 3 small pieces in there and then turned around and yelled for more. Really? You couldn't just throw in what's left? Whatever. Everything else was small portioned as well; tons of old dried up veggies and one or two bites of chicken. I also asked for a small side of shrimp, then changed my mind and asked to get a large side instead. The menu says it's $4-something for a large side, rather than $3-something for the tiny box. Instead i somehow got charged $14 for a whole large entree. Didnt even notice this until i looked at the receipt once i got home. I had another surprise when i got home; they forgot the veggie rolls, which i saw the cashier grab and put in a bag. Maybe she kept it for herself as a little snack. Panda always like panda, not too good not too bad, personal was OK and kinda helpful she let me try broccoli and make sure it wasn't saggy. They know how to make the chow mein without burning it. The orange chicken's quality has gone downhill at every location. It's extra bread-y and usually dark meat with TONS of chicken fat in it. I'm going to guess is 100% thigh/butt chicken meat. Anything "steak" is very questionable as it really seems like it's a sausage steak. A sausage steak is when they put a bunch of beef cuts together with flavorings to try to create "angus" steak. Bleh. And anything shellfish is for sure farmed. If you're ok with all of this, then go ahead and pay the 7-10$ for 2-3 items with no drink. If I'm craving it I usually just get kung pow chicken with chow mein and maybe the honey walnut shrimp. I love Panda. I've been to many Panda Expresses, and I forgot that this one was here. I always get a half and half (half fried rice, half chow mein), Honey Walnut Shrimp (extra charge), and Sweetfire Chicken Breast. Love that combo. I decided to take off a star, though, because I felt like I got sheisted on my portions. I mean, one thing that I love about Pandas is that they usually don't skimp on the portions. They pour it on! But at this particular location on my particular visit, there was a guy serving the rice and chow mein (the first station). The fried rice was getting low, but there was clearly enough to give out a couple of healthy servings. He had already called out to the back for more fried rice. When I told him I wanted half and half, he two small scoops or rice in my plate, probably trying to make what was left of the rice "last" for more customers until more fried rice was made. Initially, I just let it go. But when the next worker opened up my plate to put in my sides, I realized how pathetic of a portion of rice I really got. So I asked for more rice. She handed it back to the first guy, who kinda looked annoyed about the whole thing, but he gave me a couple of more scoops. Give me my full portion, dammit, and I won't ask you for more! And BTW did you know when your spring rolls are so old that the oils solidify it is time to toss them... and one last thing, when you have a customer who buys a four meals and puts out the bucks and you put one measly fortune cookie in their bag- hey that is part of the fun guys! I have been coming to this location for quite some time already, and recently they have consistently disappoint me. Rude customer service (especially from the store managers) and poor quality food. Not to mention that you have to beg them for A couple of soy sauce and a chop stick! In fact you even have to remind them to put the sweet and sour sauce when ordering the cream cheese wontons. They really need to get their managers' attitude checked! I have only seen two of them and both made me regret my choice of coming to this location! The food here is the standard good tasting entrees that you expect from Panda Express. The service was polite at first. Great at providing the routine questions and remarks. However, when something was not right, the true colors came out of the girl on the register. They did not have cold bottled drinks and instead apologizing, the girl at the register just said that "everyone drank the cold ones" and left it at that. I had to ask if they had some in the back and she gave me a perturbed look as though I was out of line asking to see if they had refrigerated drinks. This is our local panda so we come here pretty frequently. We love it! The food is always fresh and cooked well and the staff is beyond friendly. One time we were short on cash and they let us slide and gave us a discount (given we are regulars). Still very sweet and highly recommended if you want panda. read more

Best tasting Panda I have ever had. I ordered a 3 item with fried rice and 3 orders of potstickers, though it's pretty plain Jane, I couldn't be more please. The fried rice tasted fresh and flavorful. I could taste the egg, the peas and carrots were cooked perfectly and not smashed, and the aroma was amazing. This review is for the manager Cindy, long story short, I made an online order..my mom picked it up on her way back from work & they had given the wrong order. Driving back to the location from Sunland at around 6 is about 20 mins away if traffic is okay, i honestly was irrate on my way there & got there and spoke to Cindy, she told me to keep the current items and quickly redid my order. I grew up w the panda inn and panda express chains. I was a teenager hanging out at the glendale galeria where the first panda express opened. I have since tried pandas all over the u.s. I believe the la canada location to be the best. I have been to some locations where they skimp portions, not here. Food is always fresh and service is always great.
