Ordered 2 family feasts online for pick up. Requested teriyaki sauce and sweet and sour sauce when preordering. Bags were tied up when i picked up the order so i asked if sauces were in the bag. Cashier said she didn't know if sauces were in the bag. Attitude was bad. I asked for sauce and she handed me TWO packets. For making her go out of her way, I got an eye roll. When i said two packets weren't enough she handed me two more packets with another extra serving of horrible customer service. Wow, how generous. The person serving the food was nice. Too bad she has a jerk coworker. Maybe she was told to ration the sauce? when I was in high school, I would always come by this Panda Express restaurant during our lunch time to grab lunch quickly before heading back. Usually, I wouldn't get back to school on time but even thought this was a little distant from our school, their service was always fast enough to get me back in class on time. I love panda but this is by far the worst Panda around. The portions are ridiculously small, not like the other pandas. I've been cheated here a few times and I'm done with it. They are trying to save a buck by cutting corners and giving people tiny portions and making excuses for it. They don't even give a full scoop of entree, they give as little as possible and think you won't notice. The soda is also watery and barely any flavor or carbonation. I just returned from our local Panda Express and was very disappointed with the way i was greeted by the first service person. No greeting, no smile it as if she did not want to be there! The second service person, same thing; no smile when she asked me if there was anything else i wanted. I said yes, i wanted vegee spring rolls. She asked if i wanted the dipping sauce which i said yes. After paying, i checked my to go bag and found no sauce!! WTF! She saw me looking for the sauce and asked if i wanted the sauce!! Lame ass!! NEVER AGAIN! This has happened one too many times. I ordered online and was given a time for the order to be ready for pick-up. I arrived at my time and my order was not ready but they assured me they were working on it. I have been going to this Panda Express for over 10 years and it's been a great location to eat at. Also, they have some of the best customer service. Employee Hannah in particular has exceptional customer service skills. She was friendly and helpful and polite. When we arrived early to pick up our online order, it wasn't ready yet because we had arrived early. This spot has decreased in the last few months! The food that they serve, the quality of the food, the PORTIONS of the food (which are mentioned in SEVERAL other low starred reviews for this place) and the customer service that the staff and employees provide is just low grade hands down. When you order a regular sized plate, the portions that the rude and curt staff serve you are more sizable for a bowl!!! I ordered the wok steak and shrimp for my bowl and they only served me two small pieces of sad looking shrimp. How am I supposed to fill my stomach full of protein with TWO pieces of shrimp???? They are overcharging and not even giving you what they advertise... do better Panda Express. I have had one too many crappy experiences with this Panda Express and will NOT be coming back here. Additionally, when my family asks for extra sauces, the staff always gives us extreme death glares and doesn't seem bothered to put more spicy sauce in our bag. They are respecting social distancing and taking it very seriously. We ordered on the app and came to pick up. They didn't do our order until I arrived, which may have been because they're busy, I dont know. Just make sure, if you use the app that you let them know you're there. Going to Panda Express is something of a gamble, especially if you're a Honey Walnut Shrimp fan. There is nothing like the joy of being in line and just as it's your turn to order they pile a fresh, crispy steaming hot mountain of just-made Honey Walnut Shrimp into the pan. But on the other hand, if you see a few remaining soggy shrimp with dried walnuts sticking to the pan you're out of luck. But that's just the nature of Chinese food and I don't hold it against Panda or the La Canada location. The thing that drives me nuts about this place is how painfully and brutally slow they can be. And after a combined lifetime total of several hours accrued standing in Panda Express lines, I have figured out why. Panda Express (at least in LC) works like an Assembly Line. Employee 1 gives you your choice of rice/noodles and then asks what your dishes you want? They then hand the tray over to Employee 2 who globs on your main dishes, writes a yet-undeciphered code on the styrofoam box and slides it down to Employee 3 working the cash register. Here's the problem. If you're 2nd in line and have only one order, but Customer 1 has his extended family on speakerphone shouting their multiple orders, you will have to wait until their entire order is complete and paid for before you can leave. And this happens even if your order is completely finished and Customer 1's grandchildren are still changing their minds for the umpteenth time. All the while, Employee 3 at the cash register is just standing there, waiting. And if you ever dare jump past Customer 1 and tell Employee 3 your order is ready to go, you get a look of confusion and concern like you just disrupted the launch sequence of a ballistic missile test. Hmm. Then again, I live in a wonderful community in the most free nation on earth with an astonishing overabundance of food. I have never gone hungry or cold and probably never will. So at the end of the day, maybe I should devote as much time to counting my blessings as I just did on pissing all over minimum wage workers for not doing my bidding at the pace I feel entitled to. Been going to this place since I began working in the area. The food has been consistent.......good. Guess I am lucky because it's fresh and a bit juicier than others I've been to (food a bit dried out). Even when there is a long line, it moves pretty quick which a plus with trying to eat lunch and get back to work. Being a JPL employee gets you 10% discount! I don't usually leave reviews for fast food restaurants, but this one deserves it. The chow mein is so good and actually has more noodles than cabbage compared to other locations. The kung pao chicken is actually spicy. The orange chicken isn't all breading. Customer service was A+ quality. This is probably my favorite location. Keep up the great work, guys!! read more

What can I say, Panda Express is a chain. But a chain that I like every once in awhile. I like the orange chicken with all of its fatness. I eat it to calm my nerves. All I need is some of the chicken, rice, and chowmein and I'm good to go. For $6 you can get a bowl, not bad. read more

I just visited here last weekend. The remodel of the place is amazing. The food seems to have improved. They had a steak dish that was awesome. The service for lunch was super fast we were in and out in 30 minutes and this Panda taste better that some sit down Chinese restaurants in the local area. I notices they did catering to speaking to a customer who was picking up for a work function. Pretty smart idea. Great alternative to burgers if you ask me. read more

I love this location. The only downside is that they often take awhile---however, things always taste pretty fresh, which is good. I really enjoy the new shiitake kale chicken breast. Tried it today for the first time and it's excellent. I also love the cream cheese rangoons---my guilty pleasure. They usually need to make these, but it's good because they are crispy and don't have a chance to get soggy. Other favorites: orange chicken and the beef/broccoli. read more

Does not follow covid rules. Employee approached us with no mask on and was eating in the closed dining area that says no indoor dining. When asked why we were just told to go wait outside well others waited inside. When I called to speak to a manager about it she basically said "okay and" so obviously they could care less.... won't ever be back here worst customer service and horrible at following covid rules. Walking into Panda Express today at 2:40pm I was greeted and assisted by Maria Fe E and another associate. Restaurant was not busy at all as I was one of two customers ordering food. I ordered two plates one which was half steam rice with chow mein along with orange chicken and spring rolls. This was a to go order. Once I got to the hospital to go eat my food I noticed they never gave me orange chicken however I was charged for the 1 plate with 2 sides. It's upsetting that these people working there are not paying attention as they should especially when they restaurants are based on customer experience. At first the manager Nelly wanted me to drive from the hospital back to panda to get my orange chicken or get a refund. Not sure what this manager is thinking as if I have all the time in the world to make a drive for a mistake they did and Ned to hold themselves accountable. 4th time in 4 weeks..food is ok, but portion size is very inconsistent and staff is very rushed, not welcoming at all! I come in with my 10 yr old daughter and we each get the plate, that's 2 entree's and a side each. When we get back to the house, her entree sizes are nearly twice as big as mine?! She always gets orange chicken, and sometimes it is hot, other times it is very chewy and cold. I always get veggies as my side, and today it looked like they were running out of veggies, so instead of asking me if I wanted something else to take up the slack, they just gave me 2/3rd of a veggie portion. literally an entire 3rd of the side section was empty. I actually took a picture to take it up with manger if we actually ever go back. Also I got the shanghai steak, and it was very good, still portions pretty small compared to the broccolli beef portion my daughter gets. Yes, it is more expensive, but I pay for the upcharge so portion should be just as good. It's not, too bad because I actually like this dish. Last week I took the survey on the receipt, and one of the survey questions was " did they offer you a sample of the new' peking pork' item. Well, none if the rushed staff did then , and again, today, none of the staff did as well. No one ever has.... As a customer I shouldn't need to remind the staff A: how to be pleasant and B: how to do your job, if the job description is to offer a sample, then do it. I shall either say Yes, or No thank you, but it should be my decision. Right? Okay..the "kicker"....today I actually looked at my receipt after getting back home, and well surprise surprise surprise, you guys are actually charging me for the BIGGER PLATE on my receipt, not the PLATE! The Bigger plate is the 3 ENTREE option and costs $1.50 more per plate. What the ....??? I didn't save the last few receipts so I don't know if this is you guys ripping me off the whole time I've been going there or what? But you definitely overcharged me today and I WILL be taking it up with management or the franchise very soon. Seriously, it's fast food. Your concept is good, the food is ok mostly, but service and inconsistency could kill your reputation.
