Placed an online order and received confirmation that my order had been placed, and it would be ready to pick up at 8:15 PM. Tried to pick up at around 8:30 and the order wasn't made. After having to ask a million questions to figure out what was going on, it was revealed that the restaurant was OUT OF RICE. They have my name, number, and email address on file. Someone should have reached out to me and alerted me to the fact that 1) My order had not been made, and 2) They were OUT OF RICE. When we asked for a refund, we were told we had to do it ourselves. That did not sound right, and we demanded to be refunded at once. We were refunded. I will not be going back. Terrible communication and terrible service. read more

Writing this review while I sit outside in my car waiting for the food I ordered at the drive-thru. I've been sitting out here for 15 minutes now. With no end in site. This isn't the 1st time this has happened and their "tracking" system is awful!!! Update: After 20 min, I went inside to complain. I cancelled my order and got a refund. Total wait time = 30 MINUTES, and food still wasn't ready. I also waited for a mgr that never came. I left & called. Living in Maricopa as some of you may know, your late night food options are limited. Tonight, my wife and I went out to get food at Panda for my mother-in-law who had been sick these past few days with a limited appetite. We pull into the drive-thru around 9:15PM, which was 15 minutes prior to closing. My mother-in-law wanted us to get her a Panda Bowl with Kung Pao Chicken with chow mein. So I ordered the bowl and the lady in the drive-they told us that there would be an 8 minute wait on the Kung Pao and wanted to make sure if we were okay with the wait for the food. Of course we were fine with waiting because we were getting this for my mother-in-law and wanted to make sure she got what she wanted. So as we pull up to the drive-thru window, the worker at the window asked us again if we wanted to wait still for the Kung Pao informing us of the 8 minute wait for it. Of course we said the wait would be fine because the food was for my mother-in-law. We pay for our food and the drive-thru worker asks us to pull our vehicle in the front of the restaurant to wait for our food. A few short minutes later, a worker brings out our food. We get home with the food, my mother-in-law comes out of her room after being in bed all day looking forward to eating a delicious meal. After a few bites, my mother-in-law tells us that the food is extremely spicy. I look at her bowl and there was literally over a dozen szechuan chili pepper pods in her little bowl! I feel like this was done out of spite ordering food close to closing time but still doing something like this! Someone could seriously get sick from all those peppers. This was absolutely blasphemous! All those peppers ruined my mother-in-law's meal and we had to go out and get her something else to eat. Been to this location about 5 different times. Every time through the drive thru. We get greeted then followed by "we only have fried rice and two different types of chicken" (just an example) and it's never what we want. If this location is going to stop making food at 7 then close at 7!!!! I've come about 7:30-8 every time I've come and I have to wait in a long drive thru line just to be told there's not white rice and I only have two options. So ridiculous. Put a sign outside so people don't waste time waiting for nothing. After being sent away from here we drive over a couple buildings to Li's Garden and it's delicious and they always cook everything fresh even at 8pm:) read more

This location is terrible at timing. We placed an order at 605pm through their app. It stated it would be ready at 6:25pm. We arrived exactly on time and the food was not ready. We had to wait 25 more minutes for them to get the order ready. When we brought this up to a server she stated she would look into our order but went back serving on the line for walk in orders. I ordered the family pack. Rice & noodles, broccoli beef, orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. The only item that was fresh was the rice and orange chicken. The broccoli beef was old. Have you ever smelled old broccoli? Yuck! The Teriyaki chicken was old and they didn't include the sauce. $50 dollars down the drain. I will not return and I don't recommend. read more

I order half white rice half vegetable rice, teriyaki chicken [red container with extra teriyaki sauce], orange chicken & unknown meat lol I actually forgot what I order. The staff "young kid" was upset that I was sampling different meats before I order but other than that it was good. Less than $10 for all so I was surprised for that, well, this is Arizona and not Connecticut after all lol. Will definitely stop here again if I get a chance or any other location for the food. It's alright if you're really hungry but honestly the orange chicken doesn't taste right from this Panda Express. The one off of Cave Creek and Union Hills in Phoenix is the best. Panda Express gave me the wrong order for takeout, when I got to the office, I saw they had mistakenly given me pepper steak, when I called them to let them know they were very rude and said they didn't have what I ordered and replaced it with the peppersteak. I am more than thankful with every employer at this panda location they saved my 5 year old birthday dinner party. I mistakenly put in the wrong day for catering which was a day after the dinner party and didn't realize it until a hour before pickup time. I panicked and called them Jose was very understanding and calmed me down and told me I'm able to cancel the order and her will make sure to have it ready for me in and hour. The food is always fresh and good here I will give them that much but about a month ago I waited in the drive thru for a good 10+ minutes only for the girl at the window to tell me they were out of what I asked for. She left for 3-4 more minutes . I would have seriously drove off had I not already paid for my food. When she returned she said "he just wont make it" .....I have no clue who "he" is. She loaded my bag full of containers, at that point I just wanted to go home. The poor young girl was very apologetic but it was the longest wait I think I have ever had in a drive through. Once I got home I looked and what I originally asked for was in the bag after all of that, plus a few other entrees I didn't order. It's panda. Is there really that much to say? Normally I'd give 3 stars but you know when you go to a chain and some locations are good and others are consistently bad? This is one of the pandas that isn't good. The rice is always under seasoned and oddly light in color compared to other locations. The steamed veggies aren't ever cooked enough. Often they skimp on quantity especially when you order the steak or shrimp sides. Too bad this location isn't a good location or I might go more. But for something quick other than burgers this would be an ok choice as long as your expectations aren't too high. read more

Literally always out of white rice, 90% of the time the sauce on the orange chicken is to thick. Kung pao chicken is hot or miss sometimes it has no flavor sometimes it's too spicy! They have been out of kid meal boxes for weeks so they put them in the small boxes which is no big deal except for the fact they always forget the cooks because they don't see the kids mea box. Give them my order only to be told the food isn't available until after I pay. Which mind you is 20 minutes into my "experience." Really? You didn't know that 15 minutes ago when I ordered? Sure I'll pull around and wait in the front. I wrote Panda Corp not wanting anything free but to just voice my opinion and they were courteous enough to offer two free coupons for beef and broccoli. Guess what? It wasn't available and would only be a 6 minute wait. Only reason I seem to put myself through this is because it's affordable (big meals for 2 under $18) and the food is fresh and hot. read more

Third time I've gone to this location and they are out of white rice, how do you not have white rice ready AT ALL TIMES. They are also consistently low on their entrees. I've been going there for years. It seems that the portions keep getting smaller. On my most recent visit, I was served by a lady I believe to be an owner. She always seems to rush (which seems odd as it always seems to take longer than it should to get your food), but when I am ordering she can slap that food into a container really fast. Anyhow I began with the first entree and she deftly spooned up mostly vegatables and managed to cover them up with a few pieces of meat. I started to protest whilst she looked at me anxious to move on, I paused.... then I said I changed my mind and walked out. Obviously she's had a lot of practice cheating customers. Here is how she does it.... Quickly spoon up a little meat then fill the rest of the serving utensil with vegetables flip it into the container and voila looks like all meat until you get home. Obviously, I am not a fan of paying a bunch of money for vegatables that I never eat. I do not think I'll be back but if I do, I will look her straight in the face and insist on another server. read more
