I placed an online order & I was hesitant because the last time I did that they refused to help me until all of the people behind me was served even though my order should have been done. When they helped me they made the food right then from the front! So there is no excuse for making me wait not just past the 15 minutes promised but an additional 10+ minutes. So today I didn't just walk away & wait another 10 minutes by going behind all of the ppl that came in after me when I had already been standing in line. The lady looked over her shoulder at the screen & said we don't have your order. There is no way she could read those orders to know if they were mine. I said then I'll give it to you now my name is.... The lady next to her with order tickets mispronounced my name, but it was me so I said that's my order. We went back & forth until she finally said "well she can make your order & you go stand in the corner over there somewhere!" God was watching my tongue because, even though I should have had the same attitude she had, I didn't. I remained respectful as a grown woman should. I don't know what her malfunction is but if you have an attitude about putting food in a container, you should find other employment instead of giving this business owner's restaurant a bad reputation because this wasn't the first time but it is the last! read more

We stopped in Tuesday night around 6. It was a bit busy. There were a good amount of people grabbing and picking up orders. It also seemed like they had a bunch of online order requests. We were greeted and quickly got thru the ordering line. They were out of a few menu items that we wanted but they quickly restocked with replacements. We also got crab rangoons which were delicious! Visited today and was disappointed. Orange chicken was lacking orange flavor. Noodles had some bits of burned on it like it had stuck to the pan at one point. Also, two female employees were addressing an issue in the kitchen. While we were ordering from another employee, directly behind him we saw one female worker climb on and then kneeling on the kitchen counter to fix something. next thing she is standing on the kitchen counter. this is as we were ordering from a different worker. We will not be back. if you need to fix something then call in someone. Having employees standing on the counter and observing this while you are ordering $50 worth of food is very unprofessional. This place is just awful. My husband went here to get a kids meal on 7/17/19 for my kid and when asked the server "Mary J" if they had milk by chance, she gave an attitude and said "what? No" then proceeded to talk to the chef behind her while my husband was leaving and my husband heard her say "chick fil-a does" to the chef. How rude is this lady and who does she think she is to be talking and judging a customer. My husband legitimately was wondering considering that he was buying a kids meal for the first time here. Panda in Niceville provides fairly decent food (less the egg rolls left to choose from) as one would expect with fast "American Chinese" food but it is offset by a managerial challenge of proper staffing. It is a hit or miss on long slow lines depending on the time of day - our visit just beat a line of 22 people out the door. The two people on the line were understaffed at 6:00pm having to take on line orders, take carry out and in house orders serve food package then man the register. Several items were out and caused delays. Cooks in back scrambled but still ran out. With today's employee shortage and motivation Panda suffers and the managers need to develop a better strategy to bring Panda back to pre-COVID standards. read more

They had customers through the lines quickly, cooking fresh food as soon as it was getting low, even with closing in an hour, to get everyone their food. Margaret is one of the slowest people I have ever seen at a Panda, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to make someone's order. My family I love Panda Express but this particular location is poorly ran. Tonight we went in at 8pm to be loudly told they start cooking to order at 8pm to keep from wasting food. This is not an issue and frankly would be a great idea however this was not the intention. A crowd of people came in while we were eating and the cook was visibly distraught ehaving to cook for customers. He even made a rude remark when another customer ordered something that he had to cook. This is not the first, second or third bad experience at this Panda Express. Well tried this place out again and it is the absolute worst! It is 5/1/2021 in Florida- the day our governor said absolutely no more Covid restrictions. went to get dinner and upon walking in I am told I need to wear a mask, first this illegal, there is no mandate nor has their been a mandate in this area for over a year now. I explain that I am not legally or medically aloud to wear a mask as this would be committing a felony. She ignores me and goes on to tell me that she will let it go this time but in the future they will have to serve me outside. Well there will be no future at this establishment, the PCB and Pensacola locations are extremely nice and clean but the Niceville location is disgusting. They also are refusing cash transactions for exactly what reason? The employees don't seem to be practicing any type of social distance, tea is not aloud because of Covid? None of this makes any sense. For my health and safety I am not wearing a mask and you have no right to ask us too. I will be sending a letter to our rep, the health department, and governor to make them aware that this company is discriminating against customers who need to use cash and attempting to force the customers to wear a mask even though they are clear that they cannot legally or medically wear a mask. Not to mention the complete rudeness of the "manager". We will be sure to get this message out across the area, obviously people are aware as it's never busy. Not sure why it's so filthy when no customers are eating inside and the bathrooms are shut down...one stall bathrooms shut down because of Covid, I'll have let the health inspector know since they are serving food with no bathroom. I did not notice anything bad at this location and I live locally in the area so it can be busy at times but the food quality has gotten better and the choices continue to expand as well. She walked away, came back, walked away again and came back. She then started filling bowls and still payed us no mind. After waiting 5 minutes I told my wife let's go. If you don't know anything about Panda Express, it's a franchise that is dominant in California and many other western states. When you think of Chinese food, forget the mom and pop ones that pop up everywhere and has horrible sanitary practices. Panda Express is far from that and does exceptionally well on health inspections. This restaurant is very clean and modern, as are most Panda restaurants I have been in. The food is fresh and cooked in front of you. It's more of a fast food environment and not a sit down restaurant with a waiter. You walk down the line and pick your food. Check out my photos. I ordered the 2 entree plate. First you pick rice, chow mein noodles, or a combo of both. For the rice, they have white, fried or brown. I usually go for the noodles. Then you have a plethora of choices. If you're not sure, ask them for a sample. They also have wontons and eggrolls if you desire such. I picked orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with sauce on top. You get a decent portion, but for some reason, today wasn't my day. Plenty of chow mein noodles, good helping of orange chicken, but really stingy on the teriyaki chicken. I only received about 6 pieces. Far less than the normal amount I receive from any Panda across the country; hence the one star deduction. All in all, good place to eat. Wow. I waited 15 minutes to order. There was 1 person in front of me in line and 7 behind and only 1 person working the line. The manager and three other employees were standing around talking while nine people stood in line at 5 PM for dinner. To make matters worse 4 of their 10 main dishes were completely out and what they did have was old and dry. They were not in the process of cooking fresh and they were not in the process of replacing what was missing. After waiting 15 minutes and being told that almost everything is not available while the manager and three people stand around and talk was more than annoying. I rarely leave one or two star reviews especially at a chain restaurant where the food is the same everywhere you go. That's different in this instance because their ability to manage a store, provide quality service, and take care of their customers was terrible at this location. read more

Today, we ordered a family meal, the BBQ-short-ribs were burnt, and the container wasn't even full, we told the employee they were burnt, and the container wasn't full....the girl peeked into the container and shrugged and closed it. This location is extremely slow. Afternoon hours you're expected to have 15+ people waiting in line and no fresh/hot main dishes. The service is extremely slow and the workers are less than excited to be working. Attitudes are horrible. We grab take out from here for lunch or dinner at least once or twice through out the week. It's always fresh and I am sure that's due to the peak times that we come. I will say I have noticed when I come at 2-4 the food looks like it's been sitting a while but they are always able to make something fresh. Service is great. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Niceville- going atleast once a week for over a year or so w/ great & fast service. The last couple of months it's really declined in service so I barely go now. I called a order in & arrived 15 past when it was supposed to be ready. They had forgotten it- mistakes happen- but then trying to get the order in the midst of them helping those at the counter- took another 15 minutes of waiting. What's the point of calling in & picking up? The other 2 occasions over the past 2 months- both times I came in with no one in line- noodles not ready- don't mind waiting- but each time I waited 10 minutes for the noodles to be ready then another 10 minutes for them to make my order AFTER taking care of everyone at the counter. I love this Panda Express personally. Out of the ones near me I would prefer to drive out of my way to get this pandas food, and to see my panda friends. Everyone on the staff is very friendly, but as all customer service people know, we can get pushed by a few customers. So, people please be nice and courteous. Second, I would like to address one of the staff members, Serina. She isn't the nicest to come across and maybe you need to say something to her. As someone who works in this kind of setting, if she were my manager I would put her in her place. She needs to understand health hazards and making sure to be a manager or, of position she is, and to stop being petty and trying to make it look like it's the rest of the staff. I can guarantee that any of the other crew members could/and do her job better. This is coming from an unbiased point of view; I'm not scared to call out what I see with my own eyes and as a GM, AM, or DO, I would hope you can correct the mistakes you're letting her make. read more

Never tried Panda Express and was eager to try a new place, so stopped by to grab a quick to go meal. Apparently high school workers , nothing wrong with that. However, this group hasn't had the customer service class yet. Very slow, lots of attitude and very poor service.
